Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Sunday, March 23 at Ward-Wilson Memory Hill Funeral Home Chapel with U.S. Army Chaplain Michael Thomas officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday prior to service time. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Wiregrass Hospice Inc., 557 Glover Ave., Enterprise, Ala. 36330.

Frances Holt Brooks of Dothan died Wednesday, March 19, 2003, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center. She was 75. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Jamestown Cemetery in Jamestown, Ky., with H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel directing.

Mr. Troyace Crutchfield of Geneva passed away Friday, March 21, 2003, at Flowers Hospital in Dothan. He was 66. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, March 24 at Devco Baptist Church in Geneva with the Rev. J. Robert McMicken, the Rev. Dennis Singletary and the Rev. Olen Strickland officiating. Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Bottoms Garden Funeral Home Chapel in Geneva.

Mr. Roger Edmondson of Hilltop Road, Newton (Wicksburg Community), died Thursday night, March 20, 2003, at his home. He was 59. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, March 23 at Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel in Slocomb with the Rev. Buddy Hood officiating. Burial will follow at Wicksburg Assembly of God Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Bessie Peters Gilley, a resident of the Ozark Nursing Facility and formerly of Slocomb, died Friday, March 21, 2003, at Dale Medical Center after an extended illness. She was 86. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday, March 31 at Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel in Slocomb with the Rev. Bobby Ned Peters officiating. Burial will follow at Panther Creek Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Southern Care Hospice, 2623 Montgomery Highway, Suite 1, Dothan, Ala. 36302.

Sara Elizabeth Gourley, a resident of Henry County Nursing Home in Abbeville, passed away early Saturday morning, March 22, 2003, following an extended illness. She was 25. Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 25 at Southern Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. R. Lawson Bryan officiating. A private Burial will be at Memory Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:30 to service time Tuesday at the funeral home. At all other times, the family will gather at the home of her father and mother.

Mrs. Mildred Tucker Grace of Hooper Cherry Road, Dothan, passed away Saturday, March 22, 2003, at Flowers Hospital in Dothan. She was 90. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, March 24 at Kent-Thornton-Meadows Funeral Home Chapel in Dothan with the Rev. R.L. Middleton Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at Cottonwood City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. At other times, the family will be at the home of daughter, Dannye and Donald Skipper, 92 Three S Road, Dothan.

Mr. Larry Hall of Campbellton, Fla., passed Friday, March 21, 2003, at Campbellton-Graceville Hospital. He was 50. Arrangements are incomplete at this time but will be announced later by Christian Memorial Chapel of Graceville, Fla., 850-263-6834.

Mr. K.M. Jones of Tillman Road, Graceville, Fla., died Thursday, March 20, 2003, in Graceville, Fla. He was 73. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, March 24 at Williams Funeral Home Chapel in Graceville, Fla., with the Rev. Johnny Jones officiating. Graveside services will follow at New Hinson Baptist Church Cemetery in Slocomb. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 23 at the funeral home.

Willie Eunice Hicks Merritt passed away Friday, March 21, 2003, at Flowers Hospital in Dothan. She was 81. Funeral services and public visitation will not be held at Mrs. Merritt's request.

James R. Morris of Glenwood Street, Dothan, died Saturday, March 22, 2003, at Extendicare. He was 81. Complete arrangements and a list of survivors will be announced later by Ward-Wilson Memory Hill Funeral Home of Dothan, 334-792-4194.

Mr. Louie "Sugg" Peterson of Graceville, Fla., passed Saturday morning, March 22, 2003, at Flowers Hospital in Dothan. He was 68. Arrangements are incomplete at this time but will be announced later by Christian Memorial Chapel of Graceville, Fla., 850-263-6834.

Shelby Lee Peterson of Davis Street, Columbia, died late Saturday morning, March 22, 2003, at Extendicare Health and Rehabilitation Center in Dothan. He was 87. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, March 23 at Columbia City Cemetery with the Rev. Robert Strickland officiating. The family will receive friends following graveside services. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Wiregrass Hospice Inc., P.O. Drawer 2127, Dothan, Ala. 36302.

Mr. Graham Wayne (Arkansas) Smith of Dothan died peacefully at his home Saturday, March 22, 2003. He was 66. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time but will be announced by Kent-Thornton-Meadows Funeral Home of Dothan, 334-793-1117.

Minnie Tolbert of Headland Avenue, Dothan, died Tuesday, March 18, 2003, at Flowers Hospital after an extended illness. She was 77. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, March 24 at North Highland Baptist Church with the Rev. R.L. Jones, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Varner Memorial Funeral Home. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to service.

Mr. J. T. Bedsole, a resident of Westside Terrace in Dothan and formerly of County Road 49, Slocomb, died Saturday, March 15, 2003, at Westside Terrace after a brief illness. He was 91. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday from the Malvern Baptist Church with the Rev. Hosea Parker officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb, 334-886-7777, is in charge of arrangements.

Edgar Earl (Dr. Ed) Bostick died at home on March 13, 2003, at 1 p.m. He was 76. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 17, 10 a.m. at St. Matthews Catholic Church with burial in St. Matthews Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time at St. Matthews Catholic Church. The family requests that memorial contributions be made in lieu of flowers. Donations can be made to the Posey County Community Foundation in the name of the Bostick Philanthropic Fund. Schneider Funeral Home of Mt. Vernon, Ind., 812-838-4331, is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. James D. (Jim) Carter Sr. passed away at his home in Cottonwood Saturday, March 15, 2003, after a lengthy illness. He was 73. Eva Parrish Fitch died on Saturday, March 15, 2003, at Morningside Assisted Living of Albany, Ga. She was 86. Memorial services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Walden Chapel of First United Methodist Church where she was a member. The Rev. Thad Haygood officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the Parlor at Walden Chapel. Mary B. Harding of Enterprise, Ala., died Saturday, March 15, 2003, in Enterprise. She was 75. The memorial service will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 19, 2003, at Searcy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Walker Epps officiating and Searcy Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Byrd Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Providence Christian School, 4847 Murphy Mill Road, Dothan, Ala., 36303. Mrs. Georgie W. West of North Woodburn Drive, Dothan, died Friday, March 14, 2003, at Westside Terrace Nursing Home. She was 92. Mrs. Helen Christine Hilson, a homemaker, died Monday, March 3, 2003, at St. Dominic-Jackson Memorial Hospital. She was 79. Mrs. Janice Geraldine Justice of Perry Sellers Road, Hartford, died Monday, March 17, 2003, in Killeen, Texas, after an extended illness. She was 62. Funeral arrangements and survivors are incomplete and will be announced later by Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb, 334-886-7777.
