Mr. Coy "Popper" Campbell of Dothan died Thursday, March 6, 2003, at Flowers Hospital following an extended illness. He was 89. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Sunday, March 9 at Ward-Wilson Memory Hill Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Larry Campbell officiating. Burial will follow at Ward-Wilson Memory Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, March 8 at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted.

Mrs. Faye Carr of Daleville died March 7, 2003, at her residence. She was 92. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark, 334-774-4551.

James R. Chancey of Geneva passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2003, at his home in Geneva. He was 56. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. today at Highfalls Assembly of God Church with the Revs. Jessie Hobbs and Tommy Moore officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery with Bottoms Garden Chapel of Geneva directing.

Mr. R.A. Clark of Highway 51, New Brockton, died Wednesday, March 5, 2003, at Medical Center Enterprise after a brief illness. He was 95. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 8 at Old Tabernacle United Methodist Church with Rev. Lee Jones officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the church.

Annette Ellis Conrad of Webb died Thursday, March 6, 2003, at her home in Webb. She was 66. Memorial services will be 4 p.m. Monday, March 10 at Byrd Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Benny Gibbs officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mrs. Conrad's honor may be made to The American Heart Association, P.O. box 6267, Dothan, Ala. 36302.

Mr. John Angus Dady of Parker Ave., Port St. Joe, Fla., was called into the kingdom of his Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 6, 2003, at his Port St. Joe residence after a lengthy illness. He was 83. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, March 8 at Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel in Geneva with the Revs. Gene Shoots and Janet German officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olive Assembly of God Church Cemetery, Westville, Fla.

Mrs. Elizabeth Irene Newberry Fleming of La Grange, Ga., and formerly of Geneva (in the Friendship Baptist Church Community) died Tuesday, March 4, 2003, in West Georgia Medical Center. She was 88. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, March 9 at Friendship Baptist Church with the Rev. Danny Gill officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemeter. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday at the church.

Addison Olivia Gross, infant daughter of Barry and Amber Kirkland Gross of Valdosta, Ga., died Sunday, March 2, 2003. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 8 at Christian Home Church of Christ in Wicksburg, Alabama. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Southeastern Donor Services, 340 Boulevard, N.E., Suite 404, Atlanta, Ga. 30312.

Mr. Charles Fred Holmes of Ozark died Thursday morning, March 6, 2003, at his home following an extended illness. He was 91. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, March 9 at Bridlewood Chapel with the Rev. Mike Greer officiating. Interment will be at Post Oak United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday at Bridlewood Chapel. Lucille Crutchfield Hughes, a resident of Wesley Manor Retirement Center, Dothan, formerly of Harrison Road, Dothan, died Friday afternoon, March 7, 2003, in the retirement center after an extended illness. She was 89. Graveside services will be 2p.m. Sunday, March 9 at Gardens of Memory with the Rev. Charles Barker officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the mortuary in Headland. At other times, the family will be at the home of a son, Billy Joe Hughes, 3116 Clayborne Road, Dothan. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Wiregrass Hospice Inc., P.O. Drawer 2127, Dothan, Ala. 36302.

Leila Bell Lawson passed away early Thursday, March 6, 2003, at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa. She was 95. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, March 9 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home. Visitation and viewing will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her memory may be made to a favorite charity.

Mr. Roy A. Lee of Agutha Drive, Dothan, died Friday, March 7, 2003, at his residence following an extended illness. He was 76. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Saturday, March 8 at Ward-Wilson Memory Hill Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Coley M. Holloway officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. William H. Martin of Dothan died early Wednesday morning, March 5, 2003 in Graceville, Fla., following an extended illness. He was 74.. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, March 8 at Memory Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Glenn Poston officiating.

Yvonne Moeai of Parker Hills Drive, Ozark, died late Wednesday morning, March 5, 2003, in a Dothan hospital after a brief illness. She was 60. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, March 8 at Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Bishop Paul Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory, between Dothan and Headland. Holman-Headland Mortuary of Headland, 334-693-3371, is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. J.W. Peacock of Airport Road, Slocomb, died Wednesday night, March 5, 2003, at SAMC after an extended illness. He was 74. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Sunday, March 9 at Shiloh Baptist Church with the Revs. Coley M. Holloway and Bobby Morgan officiating. The eulogy will be given by Col. John Hodges. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb.

Eva Neese Rushing of East Court, Headland, died Friday afternoon, March 7, 2003, at her home after an extended illness. She was 88. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, March 9 at Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Ricky L. Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory. Mr. Melvin Dale Trusty of Balfour Drive in Dothan passed away Friday, March 7, 2003, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan. He was 79. Funeral services are incomplete at this time but will be announced later by Kent-Thornton-Meadows Funeral Home of Dothan, 334-793-1117.

John Byron Yawn of Dothan died Friday afternoon, March 7 at his residence. He was 65. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Southern Heritage Funeral Home & Crematory of Dothan, 334-702-1712.

Agnes Bond Arnold of County Road 140, Newville, died early Saturday morning, March 1, 2003, in a Dothan hospital after an extended illness. She was 77. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, March 3 at Union Springs Baptist Church, near Newville, with the Rev. Larry Roberts, the Rev. Jim F. Corley and the Rev. Adolph Phares officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to the services. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary in Headland. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Union Springs Baptist Church, c/o Freddie Brannon, 947 County Road 12, Headland, Ala. 36345.

Henry Baxter of Bama Street, Slocomb, died Saturday, March 1, 2003, at his home after an extended illness. He was 69. Jack Foster Bollin of Campbellton Highway, Dothan, died late Thursday morning, Feb. 27, 2003, in a Graceville, Fla., nursing home after an extended illness. He was 86. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, March 2 at Bethlehem Baptist Church, near Headland, with the Rev. Ricky L. Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Haleburg Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted at the graveside.

Mrs. Dora Kandis Childs of Geneva died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2003, at Wiregrass Medical Center after a short illness. She was 90. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Pittman Funeral Home Chapel in Geneva with the Rev. J. Robert McMicken officiating. Burial will be at Liberty Chapel Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to the Wiregrass Nursing Home Activities Department.

Carolyn Curenton of North Main Street, Enterprise, died Saturday, March 1, 2003, at Medical Center Enterprise. She was 71. Carl Edward Joiner of Graceville died Friday, Feb. 28, 2003, in Chipley. He was 81. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, March 3 at Welcome Assembly of God Church in Dellwood, Fla. Laura Mae Pinckley of Thrush Lane, Dothan, and a former resident of Merkel, Texas, died early Friday morning, Feb. 28, 2003. She was 84.
