John S. Adams of Donalsonville, Ga., passed away Friday, June 6, 2003, at West Georgia Medical Center in LaGrange, Ga. He was 64. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, June 9 at Reynolds Chapel United Methodist Church, 2676 Burke Road, Donalsonville, Ga., with the Rev. Randy Carnley and the Rev. Gerald Hollis officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home.

Mrs. Pauline Adams of Homestead, Fla., formerly of Havana died Thursday, June 5, 2003, in Homestead. She was 81. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday, June 9 at Salem United Methodist Church cemetery with the Rev. Ronald Martin officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at James & Lipford Funeral Home in Graceville, Fla.

Mrs. Rachael Brackin of Marietta, Ga., formerly of Dothan and Auburn, died Thursday, May 5, 2003. She was 89. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Monday, June 9 at Memory Hill Cemetery in Dothan with Dr. George Mathison officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fountain of Love, c/o Wesley Terrace, 1365 Gatewood Drive, Auburn, Ala. 36830.

Dylan Collins of Graceville, Fla., passed away Saturday, June 7, 2003, at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital in Tallahassee, Fla. He was 3. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by James & Lipford Funeral Home of Graceville, Fla., 850-263-3238.

James Cecil Corley of Dothan died Friday morning, June 6, 2003, at his home after an extended illness. He was 81. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, June 8 at Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with his sons, the Rev. Jim F. Corley and Danny Corley and also the Rev. Ray E. Dean officiating. Burial will follow at Pinckard Memorial Cemetery. The family will be at the home of a son, the Rev. Jim F. Corley, 1704 Westover Drive, Dothan. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wiregrass Hospice Inc., P.O. Drawer 2127, Dothan, Ala. 36302.

Mr. Edward Czap of Byrd Street, Enterprise, died Saturday morning, June 7, 2003, at Flowers hospital after suffering an apparent heart attack. He was 88. Funeral arrangements and a full list of survivors will be announced by Patterson-Sorrells Funeral Home of Enterprise, 334-347-9598.

Mrs. Tom Edd Shirah Driggers of Hartford died Thursday, June 5, 2003, at Westside Terrace in Dothan after an extended illness. She was 84. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, June 8 at Eden Baptist Church with the Rev. Dale Morgan officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Mrs. Driggers will be placed in the church one hour prior to services. The family will accept flowers or memorial contributions may be made to Eden Baptist Church General Fund, c/o Mrs. Judy Cook, P.O. Box 465, Geneva, Ala. 36340.

William Morgan Gentry of Franklin, Tenn., died Saturday, June 7, 2003, at Flowers Hospital. He was 86. Byrd Funeral Home of Dothan, 334-793-3003, is in charge of local arrangements.

Infant Sherry Hallford died Wednesday, June 4, 2003, at Children's Hospital in Birmingham after a brief illness. She was 3 months old. Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 9 at Ward-Wilson Memory Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Larry Reynolds officiating. The family will receive friends from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday at Ward-Wilson Memory Hill Funeral Home. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Children's Miracle Network.

Mrs. Ida Margaret Harrison of Yale Court died Friday, June 6, 2003, at her residence. She was 85. Funeral services will be 11 am Monday, June 9 at Byrd Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Van Gauthe and the Rev. Larry Adams officiating. Burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. in Nettle Ridge Cemetery, Blountstown, Fla. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Sun day at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Southern Care Hospice, 2623 Montgomery Highway, Suite 1, Dothan, Ala. 36303.

Enterprise mourns the passing of local physician, Dr. William L. Mitchell, of Enterprise who died Thursday, June 5, 2003, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan. He was 65. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, June 8 at the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany in Enterprise with the Rev. Tom Mixon officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Gibson Foundation, P.O. Box 361046, Enterprise, Ala. 36331. Donations will be used to establish a fund for nursing scholarships.

Mario Luis Ozomek of South Highway 109 died Wednesday, May 28, 2003, after a brief illness. He was 61. Funeral services were 11 a.m. Saturday, June 7 at Williams Funeral Home Chapel with Father Patrick Gallagher officiating. The family received friends from 6:30 to 7 p.m. Friday at Williams Funeral Home Chapel in Graceville, Fla. A rosary service was held at that time.

Eunice Patterson of Dothan died Saturday, June 7, 2003, at Westside Terrace after an extended illness. She was 86. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 10 at Southern Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Myrice McNab and the Rev. Johnny Shepard officiating. Burial will follow at Dothan City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Wiregrass Hospice, P.O. Drawer 2127, Dothan, Ala. 36302 or Wiregrass Children's Home, 1720 State Highway 103, Dothan, Ala. 36301.

Ralph Henry Peterson of Dothan died early Friday morning, June 6, 2003, at his residence. He was 67. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 9 at St. Columba Catholic Church with Father Patrick Gallagher officiating. Burial will at Franklin Township Cemetery in Fellsburg, Kan., with Fleener Funeral Home directing. A wake service will be 6:00 p.m. Sunday at Byrd Funeral Home Chapel. Following the wake service the family will receive friends until 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wiregrass Hospice, P.O. Helen M. Pickron of Westville, Fla., in Holmes County, passed away Friday, June 6, 2003, at Wiregrass Medical Center in Geneva. She was 70. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, June 8 at Poplar Head Methodist Church with the Rev. Jimmy Mashborn officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

Virginia Ridlehoover of Donalsonville, Ga., passed away Saturday, June 7, 2003, at her residence. She 82. Funeral services will be 4:30 p.m. Monday, June 9 at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with the Rev. Andy Merritt officiating. Interment will follow at Hebrew Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Lawrence Wayne Smith of Dothan died Friday, June 6, 2003, in Graceville, Fla., after a lengthy illness. He was 65. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Williams Funeral Home of Graceville, Fla., 850-263-5116.

Mrs. Beauty McGowan Flowers White of Ozark died Friday, June 6, 2003, at her residence. She was 98. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, June 13 at First Missionary Baptist Church, East Andrews Avenue, Ozark, with Pastor Dr. S.C. Jackson officiating. Burial will be at Hardshell Cemetery in New Brockton.

Lemmie Lee Worthington of Dothan and formerly of St. Petersburg and Panama City, Fla., died after a short illness Saturday, June 7, 2003. He was 80. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Monday, June 9 at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Panama City, Fla., with the Rev. Thaxton Whiddon officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Southern Heritage Funeral Home.

Mrs. Belva Ophelia Blackman of Dothan died Tuesday, May 27, 2003, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center after a brief illness. She was 90. Funeral arrangements may be obtained from Pittman Funeral Homes Co. Inc. of Geneva, 334-684-2600.

Doris C. Goodson of Newton died early Tuesday morning, May 27, 2003, at her residence. She was 66. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, May 29 at Byrd Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Turner officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Given Harvey passed away Sunday, May 25, 2003, at Oakview Manor Nursing Home. He was 81. Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday, May 29 at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Newton with the Rev. Dr. S.C. Jackson and the Rev. Jeffery L. Boyd officiating. Interment will be at Veteran's Memorial Garden of Gardens of Memory, Highway 431 North, Dothan. Viewing will be after 11 a.m. Wednesday. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hammond Funeral Home.

Mrs. Erma Holladay, a resident of Extendicare Health and Rehabilitation Center, passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2003. She was 88. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Harper-Moris Funeral Home in Pensacola. Local arrangements are by Kent-Thornton-Meadows Funeral Home of Dothan, 334-793-1117.

Ernest Walters of Enterprise died Monday, May 26, 2003, in Enterprise. He was 88. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, May 29 at Searcy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Michael Winthrop officiating. Burial will follow at Meadowlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Robert W. (Bob) Brion of Enterprise died Tuesday, May 20, 2003, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan. He was 84. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 24 at St. John Catholic Church with Father Joseph S. Wadas officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Dothan. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 23 at Searcy Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Brion's name as a unit member of Co. K, 21st Infantry Regiment to the Pearl Harbor Survivors Association Memorial and Scholarship fund, c/o National Treasurer, P.O. Box 852, Rusk, Texas 75785.

Mrs. Nora K. Butler of Dothan died Monday, May 19, 2003, at her residence. She was 94. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, May 24 at Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church in Dothan with the Rev. Lloyd S. Dillard, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at Gates of Heaven Cemetery in Dothan. Visitation will be 3 to 6 p.m. Friday at Levite Funeral Home in parlor B. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to services.

Survivors include her parents, Brandy and Nikole Cox of Goshen; grandparents, Ricky and Susan Register of Meeksville, Billy and Sharon Cox of Ozark; uncles and aunts, Ryon and Christy Register of Montgomery, Leanne and Howard Dickey Jr. of Springhill, Clay Register of Meeksville; cousins, Will Register and Emma Dickey; great-grandparents, Russell and Lucille Register of Meeksville, Louise Cox of Elba, Fannie Parker of Albany, Ga.
