Sue Oates of Level Plains died Thursday, June 19, 2003, at Medical Center Enterprise in Enterprise. She was 49. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, June 21 at Daleville Assembly of God with the Rev. Jim Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Meadowlawn Cemetery. Mrs. Oates will be taken to the church one hour prior to service time. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Searcy Funeral Home.

Mr. Francis Pershing Pace of Dothan, died Thursday, June 19, 2003 at Extendicare Hospice Services Facility. He was 85. Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, June 21 at First United Methodist Church Chapel with the Rev. Allie Freeman officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wiregrass Hospice, P.O. Drawer 2127, Dothan, Ala. 36302.

Myrtice G. Rachels of New Brockton died Tuesday, June 17, 2003, at Medical Center Enterprise. She was 82. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, June 20 at El Bethel Assembly of God Church in New Brockton with the Rev. Mike Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Montgomery. Mrs. Rachels will be placed in the church one hour before funeral time.

Mrs. Lena Mae Ray of Omussee Road, Dothan, passed at 10:36 a.m. Friday, June 13, 2003, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center. Homegoing celebrations will be 1 p.m. Saturday, June 21 at Trinity Missionary Baptist Church, 821 Lennox Ave., Dothan, where the Rev. Henry Small is pastor and Minister Billy Brewer Sr. is officiating. Interment will be at Gates of Heaven Cemetery. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to services. Visitation will be 3 to 6 p.m. Friday at Unity Funeral Home with family receiving friends from 5 to 6 p.m.

Mrs. Eileen Dismukes Roberts of the Grangerburg Community passed into her new life Wednesday, June 18, 2003, after an extended illness. She was 84. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, June 21 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Brother Thaxton Whiddon and Brother Bill Cannon officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Kent-Thornton-Meadows Funeral Home.

Mr. John Ship of Dothan passed Wednesday, June 18, 2003, at a local hospital. He was 62. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Allen Funeral Home of Dothan, 334-794-6759.

Mrs. Hazel Mae Walden of Walden Lane Road, Daleville, Midway Community, died Thursday, June 19, 2003, in Enterprise after a brief illness. She was 84. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, June 21 at Patterson-Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Larry Doster officiating. Burial will follow at Providence Cemetery in Clayhatchee. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mr. Edward Thomas White of Dothan died Tuesday, June 17, 2003, at Flowers Hospital. He was 61. Memorial services will be held later by the family in North Carolina.

Mrs. Bonnie L. Chesser of Andalusia died Wednesday, June 18, 2003, at Andalusia Hospital. She was 95. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Keahey Funeral Home of Andalusia, 334-222-8440.

Shane Courson of County Road 13, Headland, passed away Thursday, June 5, 2003. He was 25. Funeral services were 11 a.m. Saturday, June 7 at Kent-Thornton-Meadows Funeral Home Chapel in Dothan with the Rev. Rick Smith officiating. Burial took place at 1:30 p.m. at Brooklyn Methodist Church Cemetery in Opp. The family received friends from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Jerry Hall Jr. of Thomasville, Ga., and formerly of Dothan, died suddenly on Tuesday, June 17, 2003, in Miami, Fla. He was 35. Funeral arrangements and survivors will be announced by Southern Heritage Funeral Home and Crematory, 334-702-1712.

Mr. Allen James Hardt of Choctaw Road, Enterprise, died Sunday, June 15, 2003, at the family residence after an extended illness. He was 60. Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Col. (retired) H.B. Hatcher of Dothan died Tuesday, June 17, 2003, at his home. He was 85. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. (CDT) Friday, June 20 at Byrd Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Christy officiating. Burial with full Masonic and military honors will follow at Brinson Cemetery in Brinson, Ga. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to service time on Friday.

John Edward Kretzer Sr. of Dothan died Monday morning, June 16, 2003, at his residence. He was 80. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, June 19 at Byrd Funeral Home Chapel. Burial with full military honors will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.

Lt. Albert Edward Mileshosky of Ozark died Monday, June 16, 2003, at his residence after a lengthy illness. He was 66. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, June 20 at Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home Chapel with Father Joseph Sellers and John Gaudet officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, and a rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m.

Mr. James Lester Miller of Lennox Avenue passed Saturday, June 14, 2003, at the Flowers Hospital. He was 77. Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Friday, June 20 at Trinity Baptist Church with the Rev. Henry Small giving words of comfort. Burial will follow at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery in Headland. Visitation will be 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Trinity Baptist Church. Family will receive friends at the home of Dan and Eva Jewel Glanton, 724 Lennox Ave.
