Mrs. Daisy Mae Agee, 81, died Feb. 15, 2003.

She is survived by her husband, Levon Agee Sr.; her sons, Levon Agee Jr., John Agee, Robert Agee, David Agee and Jerome Agee; her daughters, Elizabeth Lewis, Melissa Long, Dorothy Agee, Norma Orange, Ruby Humphrey, Joann White, Nancy McCuiston, Sandra Agee, Barbara Agee and Rita Agee; 31 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were Friday, Feb. 21, at 2 p.m. at St. Mark Baptist Baptist Church with Rev. Luzell Stallworth officiating. Burial followed at Oak Grove Cemetery with Presley-Fluker directing.

Amos Boatwright Sr.

Atmore

Mr. Amos Boatwright Sr., 88, died Sunday, Feb. 23, 2003 in Chipley, Fla. He was a native of Old Texas, Ala. and a resident of Atmore for the past 39 years. He was retired from Swift Lumber Company and attended the Baptist church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Johnnie Mae Boatwright; three daughters, Barbara Sue Eddins, Debra Ann Boatwright and Donna Kay Boatwright and a grandson, Donald Ray Boatwright.

He is survived by four sons, Oscar Mack Boatwright of Freeport, Ill., James Rayford Boatwright of Atmore, Amos Boatwright Jr. of Jonesboro, Ga. and Ralph Boatwright of McCullough; three daughters, Janice Carolyn Adams of Range, Melba Jean Perkins of Northport, Ala. and Toni Morrow of Atmore; 25 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Tuesday, Feb. 25, at 2 p.m. at Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Woody Allison officiating. Burial followed at McCullough Cemetery with Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Kenneth Boatwright, Dewayne Boatwright, Jimmy Boatwright, Amos Davis, Wes Walby and James Agerton. Alternate pallbearers were Scott Morrow and James Morrow. Honorary pallbearers were Jeffery William Boatwright, Clyde Edgar Johnson Jr., Michael Scott Boatwright, John Anthony Boatwright and Gerald James Boatwright.

Sara Michelle Lyons

Evergreen

Miss Sara Michelle Lyons, 17, died Feb. 22, 2003. She attended Hillcrest High School and the Abundant Life Assembly of God Church.

She is survived by her mother Ginny Clark and her step-father, Tim Clark, both of Belleville; her brother, Billy Lyons of Belleville; her sister, Jenette Stuckey of Brewton and other family members.

Visitation will be at the Abundant Life Assembly of God Church in Evergreen Wednesday, Feb. 26, beginning at 6 p.m.

Funeral services will be Thursday, Feb. 27, at 1 p.m. at the Abundant Life Assembly of God Church with Bill Lutz, Ronald Hall and Amanda Blackmon officiating. Burial will follow at Belleville Baptist Church Cemetery with Cope Funeral Home directing.

Annie Ruth Kimmons Hall

Davisville, Fla.

Mrs. Annie Ruth Kimmons Hall, 65, died Thursday, Aug. 7, 2003 at a local hospital. She was a native of Pinebarren, Fla. and spent most of her life in Davisville. She was retired from Escambia Drug Store and attended the Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Lizzie Kimmons and a brother, Edward C. Kimmons.

She is survived by her husband, Ray Hall of Davisville; a daughter, Shannon Hall of Mexia; two brothers, Talbert L. Kimmons of Enon, Fla. and Ramond W. Kimmons of Davisville; three sisters, Mary E. Garrett and Gladys J. Smith, both of Seminole and Katie L. Lee of Alamona, Col.; a sister-in-law, Deloys Kimmons of Davisville and a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were held Sunday, Aug. 10, at 3 p.m. at Sullivan Cemetery with Rev. Mike Grindle officiating and Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing.

Mamie Lee Green "Toot" Tinker

Flomaton

Mrs. Mamie Lee Green "Toot" Tinker, 55, died Aug. 4, 2003. She was a native and resident of Escambia County. She was a member of Fannie Missionary Baptist Church and was preceded in death by a daughter, Glenda Tinker, a sister, Millie Dixon and her grandmother, Mamie Dixon.

She is survived by her husband, Fred Tinker; four children, Jeffrey Tinker, Chanda Tinker and Eddie Fred Tinker, all of Flomaton and James Tinker of Evergreen; twelve brothers and sisters, Calvin Matthews, Louise Miller, Robert Green , Sonia Grace and Murphy Dixon Jr., all of Brewton, Paul Dixon of Jersey City, N.J., Commodore Dixon and Debra Salery, both of Montgomery, Rhonda Tinker, Christine Bradley and Cynthia Ellis, all of Flomaton and Anthony Dixon of Pensacola, Fla.; six grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 9, at 11 a.m. at Fannie Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Hiram Stanton officiating. Burial followed at Fannie Baptist Cemetery with Cheatham Funeral Home directing.

Savannah Singleton Darley

Brewton

Mrs. Savannah Singleton Darley, 86, died Monday, Aug. 11, 2003 at a local nursing facility after an extended illness. She was a native of Conecuh County and a life-long resident of Escambia County, Al. She was a member of Glory Hill Holiness Church and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her daughters, Nell Pitts and Mable Cooper.

She is survived by a daughter, Myrtice Cain of Brewton; two step-children, Charles Darley and Jean Darley, both of Pensacola; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, Aug. 13, from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 13, at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Steveie Cooper officiating. Burial will follow at Weaver Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.

Wilmer Leon Fleming

Castleberry

Mr. Wilmer Leon Fleming, 77, died Saturday, March 22, 2003 in an Evergreen hospital. He was a native of Red Oak, Fla. and had been a resident of Castleberry for most of his life. He was a member of New Haven Holiness Church and he was preceded in death by a son, Leslie Fleming.

He is survived by his wife, Iva Dell Fleming of Castleberry; a son, Calvin Leon Fleming of Brewton; a daughter, Ruby Coleman of Castleberry; a brother, Cleveland Fleming of Pensacola; a sister, Berdie Jackson of East Brewton and one grandson.

Funeral services were Monday, March 24, at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Craver's Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Wilson and Rev. Earl Burch officiating. Burial followed at Oak Grove Cemetery with Craver's Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Graham Janes, John Bartlett, Kenny McDonald, Buddy Byers, Ronald Coleman and Roger Pettis.

Claudia Jane Runkel

East Brewton

Mrs. Claudia Jane Runkel, 64, of East Brewton died Sunday, Aug. 31, 2003 in a local nursing facility after an extended illness. She was a native of Longview, Wash. and a long-time resident of Brewton. She was a member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church and a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Garr Runkel of East Brewton; two sons, Clifford Runkel of Vero Beach, Fla. and Wade Runkel of Burlin, Wis.; a daughter, Debbie Presley of Mobile; two sisters, Edith Majerus of Kalama, Wash. and Verann White of Longview, Wash.; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Memorial services were Wednesday, Sept. 2, at 9 a.m. at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church with Rev. Marshall Craver officiating and Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.

Elizabeth Anne Alford

Brewton

Mrs. Elizabeth Anne Alford, 62, died Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2003 at her residence after an extended illness. She was a native and life-long resident of Brewton. She was a member of Brewton First Baptist Church and a retired school bus driver with Brewton City School System. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wiley Padgett and three brothers, Toby Padgett, Herbert Padgett and Joseph Padgett.

She is survived by her husband, Ed Alford of Brewton; two daughters, Andrea Alford of Grand Bay and Deanna McClelland of Pace, Fla.; two sisters, Lucille McDill of Pensacola and Geanette Ryals of Enterprise and two grandsons.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Sept. 4, at 10 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. John Finklea officiating. Burial followed at Union Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.

Dorothy Merle Luttrell

Brewton

Mrs. Dorothy Merle Luttrell, 79, died Monday, Sept. 1, 2003 in a local hospital. She was a native of Damascus and a life-long resident of Brewton. She worked as a telephone operator for a number of years and was retired from the Brewton Public Library. She was a member of Damascus Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Bell Luttrell.

She is survived by two sons, Joey Luttrell and Billy Luttrell, both of Brewton; one grandson and a great-grandson.

Graveside funeral services were held Wednesday, Sept. 3, at 10:30 a.m. at Union Cemetery with Craver's Funeral Home directing.

Harold Emile Tillman

Coden, Ala.

Mr. Harold Emile Tillman, 72, died Sunday, Aug. 31, 2003 at his residence. He was a native of New Orleans, La. and had been a resident of Prichard before moving to Coden 25 years ago. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from the Corps of Engineers. He was a member of the Community of Christ Church in Bayou LaBatre and was preceded in death by his wife, Esther Virginia Tillman.

He is survived by a step-daughter, Pamela L. Parker of Mobile; two brothers, Lester Tillman and Louis Tillman, both of Metairie, La. and four grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Sept. 4, at 1 p.m. from the chapel of Craver's Funeral Home with Elder Hulda Steele officiating. Burial followed at Beulah Cemetery with Craver's Funeral Home directing.

Sherman Michael "Mike" Howard

Berrydale, Fla.

Mr. Sherman Michael "Mike" Howard, 34, died Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2003 in Berrydale. He was a native of Houston County, lived most of his life in Pansey and had been a resident of Berrydale for the past two year. He was employed with McMillan Trust in the forest industry and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Gordon. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Sherman and Mae Brunson and his great-grandparents, Nancy Brindle and James "Aiken" and Lumitte Etheredge.

He is survived by two daughters, Blair Howard and Joanna Howard, both of Ashford; his mother, Elizabeth Ann McMillan of Brewton; his father, Joseph Michael Howard of Pansey; a sister, Chris Johnson of Pansey; his grandmother, Mae Dean Burkett of Pansey; three uncles, Neal Brunson and Rodney Brunson, both of Pansey and Charles Brunson of Columbia; a step-sister, Jamie Lewis of Pansey, his former wife, Bebi Howard of Ashford and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services were held Friday, Sept. 5, at 11 a.m. at Ridgecrest Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Aman officiating. Burial followed at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Byrd Funeral Home of Dothan directing. Pallbearers were Bob Oxendine, Nathan Worsham, Bart McWaters, Marvin Barrington, Jeff Allgood, Jimmy Foxworth and John Childree. Honorary pallbearers were Stevie Dozier, Christie Dozier and Dylan Childree.

Eva L. VanHoosen

Flomaton

Mrs. Eva L. VanHoosen, 84, died Friday, Sept. 5, 2003 at a Pensacola hospital. She was a native of Frisco City and a resident of Flomaton for the past 65 years. She was retired from St. Regis Paper Mill after 24 years and attended Pineview Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin VanHoosen.

She is survived by a son, Gene VanHoosen of Flomaton; a daughter, Ginger Lowery of Molino, Fla.; a brother, Alvin Watts of Carmine, Texas; two sisters, Eddie Mae Blanton of Frisco City an Raye Pressley of Elijay, Ga.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 8, at 1 p.m. at Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Leon Stewart and Rev. Ricky Hart officiating. Burial followed at Rock Cemetery with Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Willie Williamson, Ricky Hart, J.C. McKissick, Parson Douglas, Toby Boutwell and Gary Turner.

Madeline Kotich

Pensacola, Fla.

Mrs. Madeline Kotich, 74, died Monday, Sept. 8, 2003. She was a native of Mobile and a resident of Pensacola for the past 40 years. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Prayer Chain. She was past secretary and treasurer of Carriage Hills Golf Club.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Stephen George Kotich; three daughters, Cynthia Jackson of Brewton, Patricia Wyse and Mary Shullaw; two sons, W. Stephen Kotich and Joseph Kotich; three sisters; four brothers; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A Mass will be held Wednesday, Sept. 10, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Eugene Casserly celebrant and the Most Rev. Arch Bishop Oscar Lispscomb co-celebrant. Burial will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery with Faith Chapel Funeral Home North directing.

Tommie Earl Hall

Atmore

Mr. Tommie Earl Hall, 37, died Friday, Sept. 5, 2003 in an Atlanta hospital. He was a native of Atmore and a resident of Riverdale, Ga. He was a member of Rivers of Living Water Baptist Church of Lithonia, Ga. and a homemaker. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carry "Ditty" Oliver and James Johnson Sr.; a sister, Jessica Johnson and a brother, Larry Johnson.

He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Hall of Riverdale; two sons, Terry and Terrell Stephens of Riverdale; his mother, Carrie Pearl Johnson of Atmore; four sisters, Minnie Bishop and Lisa Phillips, both of Atmore, Cassandra Faye Hall of Augusta, Ga. and Patricia Williams of Evergreen; six brothers, Robert Hall and Steven Hall Johnson, both of Atmore, Ernest Joe Williams of Calif., Clifford Johnson of Philadelphia, Penn., Eric Johnson of Atlanta and Alonzo Hall of Hartford, Conn.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, Sept. 10, from 1 until 8:30 p.m. at the chapel of Turner Funeral Home and for one hour prior to the service at the church.

Funeral services will be Thursday, Sept. 11, at 1 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church on Hwy. 21 with Rev. Freddie Banks and Rev. Willie J. Perrymend officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Atmore with Turner Funeral Home directing.
