COTTONDALE - Bessie Lee Jones Keene, 87, of 8000 Keene's Mill Road, died Sept. 20, 2000, at the home of Carroll and Betty Payne. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with the Rev. Robert Causey officiating and Memory Chapel Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include one sister, Susie B. Martin, Bessemer; four nephews, one niece; and caregivers, Carroll and Betty Payne.

TUSCALOOSA - Mildred Taylor Lancaster, 82, of 7800 Merganser Place, died Sept. 20, 2000, at the home of her daughter. She was formerly from Merrill Gardens Assisted Living Facility. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Heritage Chapel Funeral Home. Larry Roach of Open Door Baptist Church will officiate the service. The family will receive friends 6-8 tonight at Heritage Chapel Funeral Home.
She is preceded in death by her parents, R.M. Winter and Effie Mae Winters; brothers, Paul Winters and James Winters, also her husband John T. Taylor and their son, Jon Michael Taylor; and her last husband, Cecil R. Lancaster.
Survivors include daughters, Sherry (Gene) Watson, Cottondale, and Jan (W.C.) Shirley, Tuscaloosa; grandchildren, Michael S. Mrs. Lancaster was a member of Open Door Baptist Church. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother and a friend of many.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Anderson.
Survivors include daughters, Elizabeth Carlisle Hacker, New York City, N.Y., Lucille Allen Anderson, Foster s, Ala., and Daphne Anderson, Santa Fe N.M.; sons, James Allen Anderson, Echola, Ala., and Robert Hardy Anderson, Birmingham, Ala.; grandchildren, Barry Hacker, Daphne Hacker, Alice Hacker, Sue Hacker, Michael Anderson, Paul Anderson, Eric Anderson, Adam Anderson and Natalie Anderson.
Oliver was known by Andy to his friends. He was an avid horseman,having served during WWII with the Army's last Horse Calvary Unit. He participated in many hunter jumper competitions and fox hunts in his lifetime in Tennessee, Georgia and Mississippi. He was a world traveler who loved and lived life to the fullest.
