Jack Arnold Ball
COKER - Jack Arnold Ball, age 61, of 13754 Crystal Lake Drive, died Oct. 10, 2000, at his residence. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Magnolia Chapel with Rev. Brannon Pinion officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen City Cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.
Survivors include his mother, Lutrelle Ball, Northport; brother, Anthony Ball, Northport, and sister-in-law, Allison C. Ball, Northport; nieces, Kelly Ball, Northport, Shannon Dale and husband, Charlie Dale, Coker, and two great-nieces, Michaela Dale and Moriah Grace Dale and other relatives.
Pallbearers will be Farrell Wyatt, Ronald Prewitt, Randall Prewitt, Omar Liddy, Yusef Liddy and Richard Prewitt.

Royce R. Branyon
TUSCALOOSA - Royce R. Branyon, age 88, of 4072 Cherry Wood Circle, died Oct. 10, 2000, at Druid City Regional Medical Center. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday, Memory Chapel with Rev. Phillip Boyles and Rev. John Dickerson officiating. Burial will follow in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Memory Chapel Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his father, Tollie Henry Branyon, mother, Kittie Pearl Branyon and sister, Lucille B. Whetstone.
Survivors include his wife, Louenge Howard Branyon; daughters, Ellen B. Robinson, Alexander City, and Gail Branyon, Athens; grandchildren, Michael W. Robinson, Montgomery, Eric B. Robinson, Memphis, Tenn., Christopher (Chris) Branyon, Florence; Royce V. Branyon, Athens; great-grandchild, Pamela M. Robinson, Alexander City.
Pallbearers will be William (Willie) Owens, Steve Owens, Jeff Howard, John Howard, Mark Howard, Danny Howard, Charles Howard, Jason Moore, Steve Terry and Barry Lawrence.

FAYETTE - Charles "Chuck" Cherry, age 74, formerly of Fayette, died Oct. 5, 2000, in Nevada. Services will be held 4 p.m. today at Nelson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church Cemetery with Nelson Funeral Home of Fayette directing. The body will lie in state one hour prior to service.
Krystal McDaniel Dahlan
TUSCALOOSA - Krystal McDaniel Dahlan, age 19, of 1601 Mimosa Park Road, Apt. 160, died Oct. 10, 2000, in Bibb County. Services will be 4 p.m. Friday, Memory Chapel with Rev. Ed King officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Memory Chapel Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be tonight 7-9 at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by Leroy McDaniel, adoptive father, and grandparents, John and Florence Griffin.
She is survived by her husband, Nadir Dahlan; son, Tyler Drake Wright; sister, Brandi Leigh McDaniel; brother, Jeffrey Todd McDaniel; parents, Timothy and Cynthia Griffin, and Frances McDaniel.
She was a very loving wife, mother, sister and daughter and she will be missed and loved by all.
Pallbearers will be Tony McDaniel, Andy Wyatt, Walter Bo Burroughs, Johnny Ray McDaniel, Amen Griffin and Glenn Hughes.

Elizabeth Hassell Hatch
TRUSSVILLE - Elizabeth Hassell Hatch, age 79, died October 10, 2000. Graveside services will be Friday, October 13, 2000, at 11:00 a.m. at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East with Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be tonight from 5 to 8 at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home.
She attended First Presbyterian Church of Trussville, retired from Birmingham City School System, was director of Girls Athletic for Birmingham City Schools, in 1997 she was elected to Alabama's High School Sports Hall of Fame and was State Coordinator for Summer Cheerleaders Camp.
Survivors include her husband, Robert C. Hatch of Trussville; daughter, Harriet H. Hyde of Evergreen; sons, Daniel R. Hatch of Pinson and John T. Hatch of Hoover; brother, John Steward Hassell of Tallahassee, Fla.; grandchildren, Truman Hyde, Clinton Hyde, Elizabeth Hatch, Joy Lynn Hatch, Nathan Hatch, Katherine Hatch; great grandson, Truman Sloan Hyde; and several nephews.

Frances P. Hickman
CARROLLTON - Frances P. Hickman, age 88, of 55 Church Street, died Oct. 10, 2000, at Sansing Country Home. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Carrollton First United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Maxwell, Rev. Ben Styles and Rev. Gene Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Carrollton City Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be 6-8 tonight at the funeral home. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to service.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Taft Hickman; son, Bill Hickman, and grandson, Glenn Hickman.
Survivors include son, James Hickman and wife Bea, Carrollton; sister, Virginia Lee, Camden; daughter-in-law, Trudy Hickman, Carrollton; seven grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Hickman was a member of Carrollton First United Methodist Church, a retired dietician for the Pickens County School System and a lifelong resident of Pickens County.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Hickman, Scotty Hickman, Danny Joe Hickman, Billy Brownlee, Mike Oakley, Phil Fitch and Pat Johnson.

She is survived by daughter, Mrs. Angie (Jimmy) Mims, Clanton; grandson, Wesley (Jennifer) Mims, Clanton; mother, Mrs. Annie Lee Bates Johnson; sisters, Mrs. Gloria (Charles) Griffin, Gallion, Mrs. Jeanette Taylor, Gordo and Mrs. Frances Jones, Clanton; and great-grandson, Krystian Steven Mims, Clanton.

COKER - Robert Gary Leonard, age 67, of Lake Robinwood, died Oct. 11, 2000, at his residence. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Coker Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Bro. Shaun O'Dell and Dr. G. Lance Hogan officiating. Burial will follow in Coker Cemetery with Sunset Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert M. Leonard and Valera C. Leonard; brother, Dwight Leonard; sister, Nancy Collins; and granddaughter, Kelsey Jolly.
Survivors include his wife, Judith S. Leonard; daughters, Melinda Roberts and her husband, Steve, Donna Shelton and her husband, Dennis, Janice Jolly and her husband, Dwayne; son, Robby Leonard and his wife Nancy; sisters, Elaine Burns and Mildred "Sissy" Whitley; grandchildren, Rob and Tara Leonard, Jessica and Cody Roberts, Carson, Connor and Carley Shelton, Collin and Garret Jolly.
Mr. Leonard was retired from ICG and GM&O Railroads. He was an active member of the Coker Cumberland Presbyterian Church, an avid outdoorsman, enjoying spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Sid Lanier, Rev. Ben Styles and Rev. Tim Jones officiating. Burial will follow in church cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Harrell Manning, parents, Robert and Martha Manning, five brothers and five sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Leaunia S. Manning, Carrollton; daughter, Jeanette M. Junkins and husband, Clarence, McShan; son, Maurice L. Manning, Sr. and wife Karen, Gordo; stepson, Johnny Stephens, Millport; step-daughters, Maxine Jones and Lucy Gates, both of Aliceville, Shirley Griffin, Pickensville, and Peggy St. John, Coker; grandchildren, Danny Shepherd, Columbus, Miss., Jody Junkins, Warrick, Ga., Mark Junkins, McShan, Leon Manning, McShan and Greg Manning, Northport; and seven great-grandchildren.
Mr. Manning was a member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church were he served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher. He was a retired merchant, a retired employee of McShan Lumber Company and a life long resident of Pickens County.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Danny Shepherd, Jody Junkins, Mark Junkins, Leon Manning, Greg Manning and Travis Junkins.
Honorary pallbearers are Roy Jones, Ronnie Griffin, Clifton St. John, Johnny Stephens, members of Mineral Springs Church, employees of McShan Lumber Company, friends and neighbors of McShan, Aliceville and Carrollton.
