TUSCALOOSA - Agnes Hudnell Hill died Jan. 31, 2001 at Heritage Health Care. Services will be held at Forest Lake United Methodist Church on Friday at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the church 30 minutes prior to the service. Heritage Chapel Funeral Home is directing.

Earlyne Hubbert

FAYETTE - Earlyne Hubbert, 83, 617 Third Ave. NW, died Jan. 29, 2001, at her residence. Services will be held at Nelson Funeral Home Chapel today at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Camp Comfort Cemetery. Nelson Funeral Home is directing.

Willie Mae Hudgins

WESTBURY, N.Y. - Willie Mae Hudgins, formerly of Reform, departed her life on Sunday, January 28, 2001, at the Center Island Health Center in Plainsview, N.Y. Funeral services will be Friday, February 2, 2001, at the New Providence Baptist Church in Reform at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 12 noon. Visitation will be today from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Reform Memorial Funeral Home is directing.

Willie Mae Hudgins was born in Pickens County, August 31, 1942, to Mose (Crack) Hudgins and Bertha Mae Latham Hudgins, who preceded her in death. She was loved by all and was fondly called, "Grandma", by her friends, caregivers, Courney and staff at The Bureau For Risk Youth. She leaves to cherish her memories a loving daughter, Patricia Hudgins Eatmon (Willie C.); one grandson, Tyrone Eatmon of Millport; one brother, Archie Hudgins (Mary), Reform; four sisters, Vergia Company, Westbury, N.Y., Mozelle Dixon (J.P.), Martha Dixon (Donald) and Siesta Wells, all of Reform; stepmother, Ola Hudgins, Reform. A loving devoted friend, Levi Anderson; aunt, Emma Anderson, all of Westbury, N.Y.; uncle, Tommy Latham (Dorothy), Reform and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Dolan Davis, Sr.

TUSCALOOSA - Dolan Davis, Sr., age 71, of 3415 3rd Avenue East, went home to be with his Lord Monday, February 11, 2002, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be held Thursday, February 14, 2002, 2:00 p.m., at First Baptist Church of Tuscaloosa, with Pastors Gil McKee, Ricky Michaels and Mike Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Gardens with Memory Chapel Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be tonight from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

He was preceded to his heavenly home by his parents, Harvey W. Davis and Nettie Hendrix Davis.

Family members remaining to follow him later are his wife of 52 years, Mary Ingram "Mike" Davis; sons, Dolan Davis, Jr., (Vicki) and Chris Davis (Jimmie) of Tuscaloosa; daughter, Pam McCarley (Kevin) of Northport; brother, Tommy Davis (Lanola) of Columbus, Miss.; sister, Gladys Tingle (Therman) of Brookwood; grandchildren, Keith Davis (Jennifer), Faith Hendrix (Lin), Shane Davis, Trey Harrison, all of Tuscaloosa County and April Hansford (Clint) of Greene County and two great-grandchildren, Hope and Leigh Davis.

Mr. Davis was a Tuscaloosa native, graduating from Tuscaloosa County High in 1949. His business career spanned over fifty years. He owned and operated Parkview Shell Service Station from 1964 until 1987. In January of 1987, he opened Southside Davis Tire with his sons and it continues to operated today. Mr. Davis was an active deacon and Sunday School teacher in several Southern Baptist Churches. He was recently chosen to be a lifetime deacon of First Baptist Church of Tuscaloosa. He was a faithful provider to his family and a steadfast servant for his Lord Jesus Christ.

Active pallbearers will be Kevin McCarley, Lin Hendrix, Clint Hansford, Keith Davis, Shane Davis and Trey Harrison.

Honorary pallbearers are John Lemley, John Pradat, Dwight Geist, Tommy Corley, Derry Meade, James Lee Scott, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Wascomb, Mr. and Mrs. Neil Friday, Mike Echols, Don Turner, former employees and customers of Parkview Shell and Southside Davis Tire, Dr. Cornelius Sullivan, Dr. Mohammed Azam, Dr. Patty Parrish, nurses of DCH 1st floor ACCU and nurses on 3rd floor South, friends of Rosedale, Millport, Gordo and First Baptist, Tuscaloosa Gideons and members of the Tuscaloosa County High Class of 1949.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Gideons ministry or the building fund of First Baptist Church Tuscaloosa.

Claude Humphrey

TUSCALOOSA - Mr. Claude Humphrey, died February 12, 2002. Complete funeral arrangements will be announced later by Wills’ Funeral Services, Inc.

Infant Tristen Gage Curtin

SAMANTHA - Infant Tristen Gage Curtin, died February 10, 2002 at DCH in Northport. Graveside services will be held in Sunset Memorial Park, today at 11 a.m. Sunset Funeral Home is directing.

Annie Mae Bass

TUSCALOOSA - Annie Mae Bass, age 79, died February 9, 2002, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 12 noon Friday, Elizabeth Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Cedar Oak Memorial Park with Van Hoose and Steele Funeral Home directing. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to service time and at the funeral home Thursday from 10:30 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Aaron B. J. Baugh

LINDEN - Aaron B. J. Baugh, age 69, died February 12, 2002, at Bryan Whitfield Memorial Hospital in Demopolis. Services will be 2 p.m. today, O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Dunning Cemetery in Dixon Mills with O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home directing.

Chief Master Sgt. Samuel Perry Curry

NICEVILLE, Fla. - Chief Master Sgt., Samuel Perry Curry, US Air Force retired, age 82, died February 7, 2002, after a long illness.

He spent over 30 years of devoted service to the United States of America in the Air Force at various bases as NCOIC of Security Police, retiring in 1972. He then worked at OWCC, retiring after 10 years.

He was born in Duncanville, Ala., on November 15, 1919. Mr. Curry and his wife have lived in Niceville since his retirement. He was preceded in death by father and mother, Sam and Josephine Curry of Duncanville.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Harriet Curry of Niceville; four daughters, Bridget and her husband Hank Allen, Josephine and her husband Steve Howard, Melissa and her husband Richard Fragale, Bonnie and her husband William Wright; brothers and sisters, Opal Moffitt, Peg and wife Dot Curry, Rachel Dawkins, Dan and wife Sue Curry and Roy and wife Margie Curry. Sam Curry also had seven grandchildren, Dee, Laura, Justin, Amber, Cynthia, Will and Kyle.

Funeral services were held at McLaughlin Twin Cities Funeral Home by Rev. Frank Dole on February 10, 2002. Sam Curry was laid to rest with full Military Honors at Heritage Gardens in Niceville, Fla.

Donations to Hospice of Northwest Florida, 101 Hart St., Niceville, Florida are welcomed.

TUSCALOOSA - Little Miss Kaelin A. Epps-Rollins, age 5, died February 8, 2002, at Children’s Hospital in Birmingham. Services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Macedonia Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Cedar Oak Memorial with Van Hoose and Steele Funeral Home directing. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to service time and at the funeral home Thursday from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m.

McArthur (Mac) Guyton

REFORM - McArthur (Mac) Guyton, age 18, died Friday, February 9, 2002, at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus, Miss. Services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, at the Pickens County High School Auditorium where the body will lie in state from 1 until 2 p.m. prior to service time. Burial will follow in the Phoenix CME church cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 6 until 9 at the funeral home.

James Larry "Bo" Honeycutt

BERRY - James Larry "Bo" Honeycutt, age 48, of 918 Gibson Hill Road, died February 12, 2002, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be held 11 a.m. today, Memory Chapel with Rev. Gary Shirley and Rev. Jim Colburn officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Memory Chapel Funeral Home directing.

He was preceded in death by his father, Marcus E. Honeycutt.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda Colburn Honeycutt; daughters, Kasie Honeycutt and Kellie Honeycutt; sister, Gloria Honeycutt Davis; brothers, Barry (Donna) Honeycutt and Mike (Dana) Honeycutt; and mother, Kathleen Honeycutt.

Pallbearers will be Chris Honeycutt, Lance Honeycutt, Jay Davis, Bill Mayhall, Tommy Sudsberry, Patrick Davis, Robert Wallace and Kenneth Davis.

Honorary pallbearers are Dr. William Hill, Jr., Dr. Bert Neighbors, Dr. Brian Hogan, Dr. J. Curtis Tucker, associates of Oncology Associates of West Alabama, and Hospice of West Alabama.

Iris Jones Latham

GAINESVILLE, Ga. - Iris Jones Latham died December 30, 2001, following an extended illness. A memorial services was held at First Baptist Church in Gainesville to remember Mrs. Latham on January 2nd, 2002, and final internment will be Friday, February 15, 2002, at 2 p.m. in Tuscaloosa, Ala., at Tuscaloosa Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Latham was a native of Tuscaloosa and the daughter of the late Grady Jones and Birdie Kay Jones. She lived in Gainesville for the past 6 years working for several years as a "greeter" with K-Mart. While living in Tuscaloosa, Iris worked in the family owned florist. H. Grady Jones Florist for many, many years and then for Spiller Furniture for several years. Iris was loved by all who knew her for her unselfishness, tenderness and kindness.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Sam G. and Sandy Mills, Groveland, Fla.; daughter and son-in-law, Judi McPherson-Garofalo and Barry, Gainesville, Ga.; grandchildren, Alex Mills, Patrick Peterson, Laurie Cantrell, Wyatt Peterson, Erin Peterson, Kurt Peterson; 6 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews, Kay Michael and Hank McKinley and special "son", Richard McPherson.

Mattie Manning McCain

TUSCALOOSA - Mattie Manning McCain, age 92, died February 9, 2002, at Estes North Nursing Facility. Services will be held 3 p.m. Friday, Mt. Galilee Baptist Church in Northport. Burial will follow in Cedar Oak Memorial Park with Van Hoose & Steele Funeral Home directing. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to service time, and at the funeral home Thursday from 10:30 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Vernelle Quimby

TUSCALOOSA - Vernelle Quimby, age 78, of 2 Durrett Grove, died February 12, 2002, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be held 11 a.m. today, Memory Chapel with Bro. Philip Egan and Lloyd Watkins officiating. Entombment at Chapel of Memories Mausoleum in Memory Hill Gardens with Memory Chapel Funeral Home directing.

She was preceded in death by sons, Arnold Angeloff, Jr., Billy Ray Angeloff, Michael Angeloff and granddaughter, Jennifer Angeloff.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas S. Quimby, Tuscaloosa; daughters, Sharon Miller, Carolyn Rooney, and Diane Payne all of Tuscaloosa; son, Jerry Angeloff, Verona, Ill.; sisters, Lois Ingram, Sturgis, Mich., and Rebeth Cobb, Northport; brothers, Clyde Watkins, Berry, Wilford Watkins, Northport and Loyd Ray Watkins, Gadsden; 29 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews, her special nephew and wife Bobby Watkins and Deana Watkins.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews, Andy Rooney, Jason Rooney, Bobby Watkins, Ken Norris, Walter Skelton, Shannon Hodo, Jerry Payne and Greg Payne.

Honorary pallbearers are her mall walker friends and neighbors.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to their favorite charity in her name.
