She is preceded in death by her father, Ken Mattice, brother, Frank Mattice, and sister-in-law, Debra Mattice, all of New York.

She is preceded in death by her father, Michael Wayne Gilliam; grandparents, Nathan Gilliam, Joe and Lois Clements; great grandmothers, Ethel Brown and Maggie Gilliam.
Survivors include her husband, Larry Dale Daniels of Gordo; daughters, Alyssa Daniels and Daleigh Daniels, both of Gordo; sons, Zane Daniels, of Gordo, and David Walker of Vernon; sister, Erika Gilliam of Gordo; mother, Jean Gilliam of Gordo; grandmother, Emma Ruth Gilliam of Gordo; mother-in-law, Martha Whittaker; a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Ashley was born October 2, 1979 to the "late" Wayne Gilliam and Jean Clements Gilliam. She was a member of Gordo First Baptist Church and a homemaker.
Pallbearers will be Charles Daniels, James Daniels, Eddie Madison, Jessie Sullivan, Jonathan Sullivan, and Sean Selleria.
Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Ferguson, Dr. Lewis, Dr. Lovelady, Dr. Stephen Allen, Nurses and Staff of DCH, Employees of Gilliam’s Grocery and Bill Clemmons.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Nell King Humphryes.

He was employed by American Air Control, Holloway Heating and Air Conditioning. He spent over 30 years in air conditioning in Tuscaloosa County. He was known to most by Pop, loved by his children, grandkids, and neighbors and will be missed by all.

Ethel Caldwell "Dutch" White
TUSCALOOSA - Ethel Caldwell White, Tuscaloosa, known to family and friends as "Dutch," passed away Thursday, May 23, 2002 in Tuscaloosa. Memorial service will be held Friday, May 31, 2: 00 p.m., at Forest Lake United Methodist Sanctuary with visitation following in church Fellowship Hall. Assisting Minister will be Phillip McMillan of Leesburg, Fla. (Nephew). Burial will follow in Caldwell family plot in Adamsville, Ala, at 5:00 p.m., directed by Phillip McMillan, assisted by David Carboni.
Survivors include her loving husband of 61 years, Howard W. White at 30 DuBois Terrace. Although there were no children, "Dutch" is survived by many dear nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews; a brother, James F. Caldwell of Foley, Ala; a sister, Margaret McMillian Black of Adamsville, Ala.; her special "lunch bunch" friends from Gulf States Paper.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Jeannette Caldwell, of Adamsville; deceased siblings; Paul Caldwell of Tuscaloosa, Elizabeth Short of Phoenix, Ariz., Sarah Nowlin of Mobile, Ala.
Mrs. Ethel C. White was born Feb. 11, 1915, in Lewisburg, Ala. (Little George) and spent her childhood in Adamsville. She attended Athens College in Athens, Ala. and began her business career as secretary to D.H. Markstein at Dixie Chemical Company in Birmingham. In Tuscaloosa, she spent several years as school secretary of Verner Elementary and 29 years as secretary at Gulf States Paper Corp., in the Purchasing and Accounting Departments. She was an active member of Forest Lake United Methodist Church for many years.
Our dear, sweet "Dutchie" nurtured us as would a mother or grandmother, extending kindness to all whom she knew, met and loved; she will be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in her memory to Forest Lake United Methodist Church for the building fund, at 1711 4th Ave., Tuscaloosa, 35401.

COLLEGE PARK, Ga. - Virginia Mitchell, formerly of College Park, Ga., died May 27, 2002 at Fayette Medical Center. Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Marietta National Cemetery, Marietta, Ga. with Episcopal Priest, James Pritchett, Jr. officiating. Survivors include a daughter, Virginia Cox of Tuscaloosa; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Sue Dalton Turner
TUSCALOOSA - Miss. Sue Dalton Turner, of 317D Cedar Square Apartments in Tuscaloosa, died Monday, May 27, 2002, at La Rocca Nursing Home at the age of 88. She was born in Tuscaloosa on January 9, 1914 to Betty Hays and C. Brittin Turner, Jr. They were in an early Tuscaloosa family descended from Joseph Pittman Turner and wife, Mary Walker Brittin who built the home standing at 621 Queen City Avenue in 1840. Her Parents, her oldest sister Rose Wallace Coleman and husband Jeff, nephew Jeff Coleman, Jr., and brother-in-law Austin W. Lee predeceased her.
She is survived by a brother C. Brittin Turner III and wife Sara, sisters Ann Turner Bealle and Husband Rufus, Betty Turner Lee, and Martha Turner Seals and Husband Patton; nieces and nephews Brittin Turner Coleman and wife Jane, Jimmie Coleman, Widow of Jeff Coleman Jr., Leska Turner Graves and husband Phil, C. Brittin Turner IV and wife Fran, John R. Bealle III and wife Eloise, Sally Bealle Moore and Husband Richard, Betty Brittin Lee Yates and husband Ray, Frances Lee Vogel and husband Greg, Mary Beth Seals Dennis and husband Alan, Susan Ruth Seals Warden and husband Hank, and several great nieces and nephews.
Miss Turner was employed for 42 years at the Alabama Power Company, Tuscaloosa District, from 1935 to 1977. She was active in the social and civic life of Tuscaloosa and was a member of the Arts and Letters Club, and of the First Presbyterian Church, of which she was a member for 70 years. She was a graduate of Tuscaloosa High School in 1932 and attended The University of Alabama Where she was a member of the Kappa Delta Sorority and of the University Glee Club.
Dr. Charles M. Durham, Pastor of the First Presbyterian Church and Associate Pastor Kevin T. Cauley will conduct a memorial service in the Westervelt Warner Chapel on Thursday, May 30th at 11:00 a.m. Following the service, the family will receive friends in Warner Hall at the Church. Family internment at Tuscaloosa Memorial Park will precede the memorial Service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church.
Pallbearers will be Alan Dennis, William Dennis, Britt Turner IV, Hank Warden, Britt Coleman, Richard Moore, Greg Vogel and John Bealle III. Honorary pallbearer is Mrs. Evelyn Hardy.

He is preceded in death by wife Dolores Fincher.
Survivors include his daughter, Susie Bosch (Jimmy), Norhtport; a son, Timmy Fincher (Alene) Olive Branch, Miss.; brothers, Billy Fincher (Smitty) Eutaw, Ala, John Fincher (Martha), Tuscaloosa, Jimmy Fincher (Gayle) Eutaw, Ala.; grandchildren, Christy Atchenson of Tuscaloosa, Clay Bosch, Northport, Ashley Fincher, Chris Fincher and Kimberly Fincher all of Olive Branch, Miss.; great-grandchildren, Brianna and Dallas Atchenson of Tuscaloosa.
Mr. Fincher was a Veteran of the Korean War, a life long electrician and a member of First Freewill Baptist Church of Northport.
