Geraldine R. Kiker

TUSCALOOSA - Geraldine R. Kiker of 3315 50th St. E., passed away August 29, 2001 at DCH Regional Medical Center. Graveside services will be held today at 4 p.m., in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Rev. John Phorington officiating and Heritage Chapel Funeral Home directing.

She was predeceased in death by her late husband Maurice Kiker.

Survivors include two sons, Douglas Moore of Davenport, Iowa and William Moore of La Grange, Ga.; one daughter Catherine Strickland, Tuscaloosa; one sister, Marie Gilbert, Tuscaloosa; several grandchildren, and great grandchildren, nieces , nephews and other relatives.

Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Fritz (nurses and staff of 5th floor) DCH Home Health Care Unit and Michael Strickland.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home, for one hour before the services.

Henry L. "Buddy" Donaldson

ALICEVILLE - Henry L. "BUDDY" Donaldson, 67, 823 2nd Ave. S. E., died Sunday September 2, 2001 at the Veterans Hospital in Tuscaloosa. Services will be held Wednesday September 5th at 1 p.m. at Stabler-Robbins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rodney Hedrick and Dr. Jim Cooley officiating. Burial will follow in Magnolia Memorial Garden. Visitation is tonight from 6-8 at the funeral home. Stabler-Robbins Funeral Home is directing.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Essie Donaldson and son Ruben Donaldson.

Survivors include his wife Evelyn T. Donaldson; daughters, Linda Terry Cooper (Gary) of Monroe City, Mo, Tebra Petersen (Ron) of Sauk Rapid, Minn, Teliena Corder (Don) of Carrollton; one sister, Ermestine and one brother James "Holly"; four grandchildren Alesha Gahimer, Matthew Gales, Melissa Bryant, Jessica Bryant; one great-grandchild Katelyn Walker.

Pallbearers will be Malcus Howard, Peter Thompson, Jimmy Lewis, Mike Walker, James Mayhew, Richard Grabowski, Joe Bryant.

Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Blane Schilling, V. A. Medical Staff and Home health personnel.

Bradley A. Taylor

NORTHPORT - Bradley A. Taylor, 50, 1485 Chase Valley, died September 3, 2001 at his residence. Complete arrangements will be announced later by Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home of Northport.

Daniel Roberts

TUSCALOOSA - Daniel Roberts, 81, of 931 17th Street, died August 29, 2001 in the Meadowood Nursing Home, Bessemer, AL. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 6, 2001 at 1 p.m. from St. John Baptist Church. Rev. Roy Ferguson is pastor; Rev. Johnnie Lewis will officiate. Burial will follow in Cedar Oak Memorial Park with Rollins' Mortuary directing. He will lie in state at the church one hour prior to funeral time.

William Thomas Posey

NORTHPORT - William Thomas Posey, 80, of 2216 Anchorage Street, died September 4, 2001 at DCH Regional Medical Center. Graveside services will be held at Oakhill Cemetery, September 6, 2001 at 3:30 p.m. Rev. Grant Parker and Rev. Paul Peebles will officiate. Visitation will be tonight from 6-8 at Magnolia Funeral Home, Northport.

Survivors include his wife, Blanche Reid Posey, Northport, Ala; daughters, Susan Avery Brown (Jim), Crestview, Fla., and Ellen Irene Posey, Atlanta, Ga.; a son, Robert Allen Posey (Mary Helen), Tuscaloosa; five grandchildren, Joshua Allen Posey, Tuscaloosa, Ala., Michael Ian Avery (Laural), Dothan, Ala., Holly Irene Posey, Tuscaloosa, Ala., Haven Elizabeth Posey, Tuscaloosa, Ala., and Allison Ellen Avery, Tallahassee, Fla.; one great-grand daughter, Isabella Reid Avery, Dothan, Ala.

John C. Howell, Sr.

COKER - John C. Howell, Sr., of 15507 Forest Green Drive, died September, 2, 2001 at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be held at Sunset Chapel, Thursday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Gary Hill officiating. Burial will follow in Robertson Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. tonight at Sunset Funeral Home. The body will lie in state one hour prior to services.

Survivors include his wife, Melissa Barksdale Howell; daughters, Leslie Howell, Alecia Howell, and Jennifer Jones; a son, John Carl Jr. (JC); sisters, Patsy Hollingsworth (Johnny), and Brenda Stephens (Ted); a brother, Joe Howell (Nancy); parents, Milton and Charlotte Howell, and Donnie Ray and Jeweleen Collins; and grandmother, Vera Mae Collins.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Farley, Mike Sanford, Eugene Leonard, Jerry Leonard, Larry Leonard, George Leonard, and Ted Leonard.

Honorary pallbearers are Carmerica, Postles Tire and Auto, Prayerline Partners, Jerry Dale and Joei Griffin, Donnie and Brenda Weems, Tony and Millie Hallman, Friends, Family, and Loved ones.

Bradley A. Taylor

Kerry Payne officiating. Visitation will be held at the family home Friday evening 6:30-8:30 p.m., at 1485 Chase Valley, Northport. Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home of Northport is directing.

Survivors include his wife, Mandee Taylor; one daughter, Katelyn Taylor; two sons, Matt Taylor and Scott Taylor, all of Northport; one sister, Jo Ann Van Cleeve (Tom), Jacksonville, Fla.; four brothers, Don Taylor (Verna) Boulder, Nev., Ron Taylor (Carol) Henderson, Nev., Douglas Taylor (Sue) Whitney Point, N.Y., Jeff Taylor (Renee) Chittenango, N.Y.; parents, Don and Florence Taylor, Chittenango, N.Y.; parents-in-law, Jam and Nita Russell; brother-in-law, Jim Russell, Jr., (Ronda) all of Bozeman, Mt.

Brad was born in Canastota, N.Y., he moved to Alabama in 1974 while serving in the U.S. Army. He graduated from Jefferson State Community College and later earned a BA in Real Estate from the University of Alabama.

He sold real estate and was a building contractor in the Tuscaloosa area for over 20 years. Brad, also was a member of the Tuscaloosa Home Builders Association. He held Black Belts in Karate as well as taught self defense and martial arts through continuing studies at the University of Alabama.

Brad was a good and honest man, a hard worker at his profession, a loving father and husband and will be missed by all who knew him.

Pallbearers will be Charlie Davis, Wally Aguillar, Wayne Earl, Michael Jacobson, Sam Wilson and John Drewry.

Honorary pallbearers are Tuscaloosa Home Builders Association, Northport Baptist Church, Teachers and Staff Collins-Riverside Middle School.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Habitat Tuscaloosa, 2211 Prince Avenue, Tuscaloosa, Ala 35401.

Eloise W. Kemp

TUSCALOOSA - Eloise W. Kemp, 75, died September 2, 2001 at her residence. Graveside services were held today at 11 a.m., in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park. Heritage Chapel Funeral Home is directing.

The family would like to give special thanks to the DCH Regional Medical Cancer Center.

James Clarence Johnson

FAYETTE - James Clarence Johnson, 63, 2806 Hwy 171 S., died September 4, 2001 at Fayette Medical Center. Services will be held at Nelson Funeral Home Chapel on Friday at 2 p.m., with Rev. Tim Baumgartner officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Hebron Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6-8 p.m. Nelson Funeral Home of Fayette is directing.

Survivors include his wife, Pat Johnson, Fayette; daughters, Sue Barr (James), Tuscaloosa, Gail Atkinson (Dewayne), Birmingham; sons, Lenny Johnson (Denise), Samantha, Ricky Johnson (Doris), Fayette, Jody Johnson (Chastity), Fayette; sisters, June Windham (Jerry), Gordo, Frances Smith (James), Fayette; brother, Ray Johnson (Hilda), Northport; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Dean Johnson, Jim Wright, Danny Shepherd, Jimmy Dodson, James Shepherd, Johnny Crawford.

Services will be held at Alberta Baptist Church on Sunday at 2 p.m., with burial in Memory Hill Gardens. Visitation will be Saturday 6-8 p.m., at the funeral home. Memory Chapel Funeral Home is directing.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Alberta Baptist Church.

Sarah Ruth Williams Spencer

TUSCALOOSA - Sarah Ruth Williams Spencer, age unavailable, died September 3, 2001 at her residence. Services will be held at Hightown Church of God on Saturday, September 8, 2001 at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Sand Hill, Gordo. Visitation will be today from 10:30 a.m. – 6 p.m. with the family receiving friends at the funeral home from 6-7 p.m. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to services. Van Hoose and Steele Funeral Home is directing.

George Washington

George Washington, died Sept. 8, 2001, at his residence. Services will be 12 noon Wednesday, New Zion Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery in Coker with Van Hoose and Steele Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be 10:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. today at the funeral home. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to service.

Marvin Ford Stone

Marvin Ford Stone, 84, of 14451 Paul Howell Road, died September 9, 2001 at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be held at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home-Northport, today at 11 a.m. A 1:00 p.m. graveside service will be held in Oakhill Cemetery, Moundville, Ala. Rev. Alvis Taylor and Rev. Randy Fuller will officiate. Visitation will be 30 Minutes prior to service in chapel. Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home-Northport is directing.

Survivors include his wife, Cleo Hartley Stone; daughter, Judy Williams; sons, Gerald Stone, and Hulon Stone; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Vinnie Coons, Carrollton, Ala., and other relatives.

Active Pallbearers will be Wayne Stone, Weston Hartley, David Moore, Dan Moore, Jeff Hartley, and Earnest Payne.

Honorary pallbearers are Friends and Neighbors.
