NORTHPORT - Eva B. Wright, 84, 2215 32nd St., died August 7, 2001 at Northport Medical Center. Graveside services will be held Thursday, August 9, 2001 at 3 p.m., in Sylvan Methodist Church Cemetery, Foster s, with Billy Smith and Adam Homan officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home. Sunset Funeral Home is directing.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Patsy Clements Hamner and husbands, Pat Clements and Paul Wright.
Survivors include her sons, Gene A. (Ann) Clements of Foster s, Billy J. (Loretta) Clements of Tuscaloosa and five grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and other relatives.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
Honorary pallbearers are Staff of Northport Medical Center, and staff of Forest Manor Nursing Home.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Sylvan Methodist Church Cemetery Fund.

FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla. - Carey Ann Stallworth, 61, 364 #8 Schneider Drive, formally of Moundville, died August 5, 2001 at her residence. Services will be held at Magnolia Chapel South, on Thursday, August 9, 2001 at 2 p.m., with Rev. Edwin King officiating. Burial will follow in Oakhill Cemetery. Visitation is tonight from 6-8 at the funeral home. Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South is directing.
Survivors include her daughter, Kelley Stallworth, Homewood; sister, Bobbie Collins, Moundville; brothers, Andy Kelley, Moundville, Drury Kelley, Moundville; grandchildren, Lauren Elizabeth Miller, Homewood.

Charles Thomas Redding
TUSCALOOSA - Charles Thomas Redding, 56, 4117 67th Ave., was called to be with the Lord on August 6, 2001 at his residence.
He is preceded in death by his father, Johnny Redding.
He is survived by his daughter, Cindy Redding of Lynn, Ala. His mother, Sarah Redding of Tuscaloosa, Ala. He has three grandchildren, Diana, Jimmy and Lisa Redding all of Lynn, Ala. He has one great granddaughter, Racheal Redding of Lynn, Ala. He has one brother Johnny (Billy) Redding (Jackie) of Moundville, two sisters Shirley McCraw (Bill) of Foster s, Betty Crumley (Otis) of Moundville. He has nine nieces and nephews and 15 great –nieces and nephews, three uncles and one aunt.
Pallbearers will be Barry Stephens, Chris Crumley, Jason Stephens, Eddie Holbrook, Chris Shaw, Tony Redding.
Honorary pallbearers are Friends of Unity Baptist Church, Bro. Ray Hallman, Hospice of West Alabama Staff and nurses, friends and neighbors of Unity Community, Dr. Brian Wilhite, Dr. Curtis Tucker, The Cancer Center and Jim Myers Drug.
Ollie M. Owens
REFORM - Ollie M. Owens, 87, 512 2nd Ave. NW, died August 6, 2001 at Salem Nursing & Rehab Center. Services will be held at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel today at 11 a.m., with Rev. Michael Trull officiating. Burial will follow in Owens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m.

Mrs. Owens was the widow of the Late Archie Owens. She attended Oakridge Baptist Church and she was a retired farmer and a life long resident of Pickens County.

Willie Miles King, Sr.
TUSCALOOSA - Willie Miles (Boots) King, Sr., 1037 Crescent Ridge Road, NE, died Monday, August 6, 2001 at DCH Regional Medical Center. Family hour will be Wednesday, August 8, 6:00-7:00 p.m., at Rollins Mortuary. Graveside rites will be Thursday, August 9, 2001 at 11:00 a.m., at Cedar Oaks Memorial Park with Rollins' Mortuary directing.
Mr. King was a Fourth Generation Member of Tabernacle A.M.E. Zion Church serving as Chairman, Board of Trustees; Leader of Class Leaders, Church School Teacher of Men's Bible Class and President, Lay Councils.
He attended Tuscaloosa City Schools and Hampton Institute. He was drafted into the Navy where he served honorably during World War II. He later served in the Army Reserve.
He was a Private Contractor, a General Contractor and a City Building Inspector. He retired as Assistant Building Official. For several years he was the Veterans King, sons: Willie M. King, Jr., Atlanta, Ga., Rodney Martin King, Tuscaloosa; sister, Rosa Lee Hamner, Detroit Michigan; four grandchildren, three great grandchildren; three nieces and three nephews an other relatives.Affairs Home Building Inspector for this area.

COLUMBUS, Miss. - Dessie P. Hollis, 66, died August 6, 2001 at her daughter's residence-Cleveland, Miss. Services will be held at Memorial Funeral Home, Columbus, Miss., today at 2 p.m., with Rev. She is preceded in death by her brother, Bobie O'Neal Perrigin.

COTTONDALE - David M. Smart, 68, of 5717 Clearview Street, died August 11, 2001 at his residence. Services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at Memory Chapel. Rev. Milton Booth will officiate. Burial will follow in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park. Visitation is tonight from 6-8 p.m. at Memory Chapel Funeral Home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Nancy Williams Smart; three sisters, Bonnie Smart Evans, Blanche Smart, and Marguerite Smart Breland.
Survivors include his wife, Faye McDaniel Smart; his daughters, Sherry Harvey (Harold), and Lisa Robertson (Rex); his son, David Smart (Anita); his grandchildren, Lee Hutchins, Martin Harvey, Jonathan Smart, Hannah Grace Robertson, and Robert Robertson; two special nieces, Mary Ann Evans, and Peggy Breland Snider, and one nephew, Jerry Breland.
Mr. Smart served in the U.S. Airforce during the Korean War.

Vonda Carter Sellers
TUSCALOOSA - Vonda Carter Sellers, 70, died August 7, 2001 at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be held Monday, at 2 p.m., at Sunset Chapel. The Rev. Gil McKee will be officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Presbyterian Church Cemetery, with Sunset Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be from 12-2 p.m., Monday.
Survivors include her daughters, Bonnie Evans, Northport, and Kaye King, Coaling; a son, Barry Simpson, Warrior; sisters, Dorothy Morgan, Ellen Johnson, Edith Weathers, and Agnes Collins; six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Vonda Sellers was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She worked for a number of years as an LPN, caring for others.
Pallbearers will be Joshua Evans, and Jeff Evans, both of Northport, Justin Evans, La Place, La., Cole King, and Dennis King, both of Coaling, Shannon Simpson, Tuscaloosa, and Todd Simpson, Warrior.
