LIVINGSTON - Marion Lambert Tucker, 79, died Jan. 15, 2001, at UAB Hospital. Services will be held at Livingston United Methodist Church on Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Jim DuFriend officiating. Burial will be in Livingston Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8. Bumpers Funeral Home of York is directing.
Mr. Tucker was the owner of Farm & Builders Supply in Livingston.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Pope Tucker of Livingston; son, Darryl Tucker of Livingston; daughter, Melanie Spidle of Livingston; brother, Douglas Tucker of Linden; sisters Margaret Cross and Sadie Merle Whitcomb of Linden; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Treavor Homer Jones
TUSCALOOSA - Treavor Homer Jones, 21, died August 21, 2001. Services will be held at Circlewood Baptist Church on Saturday, August 25, 2001 at 10 a.m., with Bro. Herb Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens. Visitation will be tonight from 6-8 p.m., at Circlewood Baptist Church. The body will lie in state from 9-10 a.m., at the church. Sunset Funeral Home is directing.
Survivors include his parents, Mike and Debbie Jones; brothers, Bo Jones, Dusty Jones, Chase Jones; grandparents, Home and Carolyn Lamb, Melvin and Barbara Jones; great grandmothers, Pauline Jones Elmore, Vista Jones; other survivors include numerous uncles, aunts and cousins. Family and Friends.
He was a graduate of Central High School Class of 1998. He was an active member of Circlewood Baptist Church and he was employed by Gulf State Paper Corp.
Pallbearers will be Dusty Jones, Lindsey Lamb, Mischka Lamb, Shain Lamb, Bryan Malone, Jeremy Burrage, Nick Thurston, David Kizziah, Alan Wiggins, Troy Simpson.
Honorary pallbearers are Mike Kearney, Roger Myers, Mike Green , Scott Reynolds, Tim Simpson, Dr. John Dishuck, Pediatric Nurses of the 7th Floor DCH, Youth and College Depts. Of Circlewood Baptist and First Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Treavor Jones Memorial Fund at Merchant and Farmers Bank.
Rufus G. Massey
TUSCALOOSA - Rufus G. "Shorty" Massey, 99, died Jan. 16, 2001, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be held at Memory Chapel Funeral Home on Friday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Brannon Pinion officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Gardens. Visitation is tonight from 7 to 9. Memory Chapel Funeral Home is directing.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Zella M. Massey; daughter, Thelma White Neuman; and grandson, David White.
He is survived by his sister, Nellie M. Sanford of Ralph; grandchildren, Sharon Robertson (Buck) of Tuscaloosa, Brenda Caballero (Lloyd) of Maurice, La., Terry White of Syracuse, N.Y., Randy White (Charlotte) of Milton, Fla., Charles Neuman (Kim) of Van Buren, Ark., Christina Neuman of Milton, Fla., Teresa Adkinson (Ashley) of Milton, Fla.; 17 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers are the staff of Park Manor Nursing Home and friends from Rosedale Baptist Church.
Arnold Albert Chesnutt
TUSCALOOSA - Arnold Albert Chesnutt, 74, 3513 16th Street N. E., died August 23, 2001 at UAB Hospital. Mr. Chesnutt was the founder of Chesnutt Furniture, and was involved in the furniture business for 50 years.
A graveyard service will be held at 2 p.m., on Sunday, August 26, 2001 at Bethel Presbyterian Church with the Reverend Albert Lyles officiating. Visitation will be at Memory Chapel Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., tonight.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles C. Chesnutt and Elma Herring Chesnutt, and his three brothers, Charles Chesnutt, Herschel Chesnutt, and Leon Chesnutt.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Frances King Chesnutt; daughters, Teresa Chesnutt Mitchell (Jerry) of Tuscaloosa, Sherri Edwards (Andy) of Tuscaloosa, and Connie Thurstin (Hal) of Birmingham. Sons, Larry Chesnutt (Pam) of Tuscaloosa and Michael Chesnutt (Terry) of Clearwater, Florida. One brother, James Chesnutt (Doris) of Birmingham, and one sister, Bucilla Stephenson of Tuscaloosa. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Cole Shirley, Steve Cobbs, Ryan Chesnutt, Alan Chesnutt, Tyler Chesnutt, Russell Calhoun, Hal Thurstin, and Andy Edwards.
Honorary pallbearers will be friends and neighbors in the Holt and Tuscaloosa community and all past and present customers of Chesnutt Furniture.
Landon Harrison Harward
KAYSVILLE, Utah - Landon Harrison Harward returned home to his Father in Heaven on Monday, Jan. 15, 2001.
Landon was born April 3, 2000, in Murray, Utah, to Melvin V. and Catherine "Buffy" Givens Harward. He resided with his mom, dad, brothers and sisters in Kaysville.
Landon was a mommy's boy. He loved his mommy and was always with her. He brought a very special love to his brothers and sisters. Landon was a special gift from our Heavenly Father with the eyes of an angel.
He is survived by his parents; three brothers, Nicholas Harward, Alexander Harward and Dylan Duehlmeier, all of Kaysville, Utah; three sisters, Stephanie Sharp (Mickel) of Ogden, Utah, Kristen Harward and Hannahlyn Harward of Kaysville; grandparents, Verl F. and Lois-Fay Harward of Tuscaloosa, and Provo and Catherine Givens of Tuscaloosa.
