Ivanette Arey
Ivanette Gault Arey, age 82, of Benton (Haskell community) died Friday, Feb.
28, 2003.
She was a retired LPTN from the Benton Service Center and was one of the
first classes of LPTNs trained and employed by Benton Service Center in
1957. She was a member of the Mt. Harmony Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors: son Jesse Glen Arey, Weatherford, Texas; daughters, Anna Janice
Hulsizer of Florence, Ala., Dianna Arey Denton, Morrilton; sons, Shawn of
Conway, and Jerod Nashville, Tenn.; several grandchildren; two brothers,
George and J.W. Gault, and a sister Ruth Whitley, all of Saline County.
Services were Monday at the Mt. Harmony Missionary Baptist Church with
burial at Mt. Harmony Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Conway County Public Library and the Mt.
Harmony Missionary Baptist Church.
Patricia Stringfellow
Patricia Stringfellow died Feb. 23, 2003, in Plano, Texas.
Survivors are her husband, Willie Stringfellow of Plano, Texas; two sons,
Russell Tyler of Sacramento, Calif., and Juan Tyler of Little Rock; two
daughters, Kim Guy and Sharrone Cox both of Jacksonville; seven
grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Randell of Vinton, La., and Marjorie
Thompson of Los Angeles, Calif.
Services were March 3, in Vinton, La., at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's
Witnesses. Services entrusted to James Funeral Home, Lake Charles, La.
Eva Bailey King
Eva Bailey King, 81, of Jacksonville died March 25, 2003.
Survived by one son Chuck King of Sherwood; three grandchildren; four
great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were Thursday at Mt. Bethel Cemetery, Rose Bud by
Roller-Daniel Funeral Home.
Elsie Lowry Kumpe
Elsie "Mollie" Lowry Kumpe 77, of Little Rock died Tuesday, March 25,
2003.
She was a member of Sunset Lane Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Carl Kumpe; her daughter, Judy
Smith of Little Rock; her son, Charles "Chuck" Kumpe of Jacksonville; three
grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
The funeral service was Friday, March 28, in the Roller-Drummond Southwest
Chapel with interment at Forest Hills Memorial Park.
Robert Louis Fisher
Robert Louis Fisher, 84, of Clarksville, publisher of the Johnson County
Graphic for 32 years, died on March 30, 2003.
He was a former managing editor of the Jacksonville Daily News. He served
as president of the Arkansas Press Association in 1955. He was honored as a
50-year recipient of the Press Association Distinguished Service Award. He
was a former mayor of Danville.
He is survived by his wife, Christene Fisher; two sons, David Fisher of
Danville, and Bobby Fisher of Plano, Texas; a sister, Betty Roe of Oklahoma,
City; a brother, Dick Fisher of Oklahoma City; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, April 3, at the First Baptist Church
of Clarksville with burial at the Oakland Cemetery.
Roger W. Fleeger
Roger Wayne Fleeger of Jacksonville, died March 29, 2003, at the age of 72.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Fleeger; his son, Gene Fleeger;
daughters, Karen Huxen, Kathy Smith, and Kristy Fleeger-Lawrence.

Frederick Paradise of Hazen, was born Dec. 4, 1949. He died March 26,

William "Bud" Frizzell Sr., 74, of Malvern, died March 28, 2003.
He was a retired millwright with International Paper and a Master Mason and
a long-term member of Brotherhood of Millwrights Union and past officer. He
was a Navy veteran of World War II.
He is survived by two sons, Bubba Frizzell and Tony Frizzell, both of
Monticello; three daughters, Diane Smith of Sheridan, Wendy Ross and Mary
Carter, both of Malvern; one brother, Bennie Douglas Frizzell of Jacksonville;
16 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held Tuesday, April 1, in Tulip Cemetery with
arrangements by Atkinson Funeral Home of Malvern.

Jerry Thomas Dokes Jr., 64, of Norfolk died March 21, 2003.
He served with the U.S. Navy as a Corpsman in Vietnam and was retired
from Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Naval Station, Norfolk.
He is survived by his wife, Alice Burford Dokes; a son, Pierre Dokes of
Virginia Beach; four brothers, Calvin Dokes Sr. of Jacksonville, Frank Dokes
and Ronald Dokes of North Little Rock, and Rev. Marcus Dokes of
Springfield, Mo.; six sisters, Otha Frazier, Mary Long, Evelyn Hattison, Nancy
Stroud, and Cleaster Davis of North Little Rock, and Freddie Ready of Detroit,
Mich.

Robert Michael Morris Jr., 39, of Jacksonville died Saturday, March 22, 2003.
He was a frame carpenter.
He is survived by his mother, Peggy Holladay Hallett of Las Vegas, Nev.; his
father, Robert Morris Sr.; and two sisters, Jessica Pirtle of Conway and Susan
Montmony of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.

Pernecie M. Weir, age 92, of Jacksonville died Monday, March 24, 2003.
She retired from McRae Public School Cafeteria and was a member of the
First Free Will Baptist Church of Jacksonville.
She is survived by one daughter, Earlene Fuller of Jacksonville; one grandson;
one great-granddaughter; one brother, Quitman Stracener of Florida; one sister,
Rudie Rice of Little Rock.

Angeline A. Buser, 84, of Ward died Monday, March 24, 2003.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond Buser of the home; two sons, Jerald
Arthur Buser and Steven R. Buser; two daughters, Karen Lecker and Bonnie
Hansen; three sisters, Mary Pfiefer, Cecelia Onesti and Amelia Dexter; nine
grandchildren and seven greatgrandchildren.

Martha Jean Cothran, 72, of Bryant died March 26, 2003.
She was a member of Agape Church of Little Rock and an active member of
the Arkansas Migrant Program. She was also a retired teacher in the Public
School System.

James Earl Myers, 75, of Jacksonville died April 4, 2003.

Randy Myers; and Roger Reeves; sister, Geneva Grigsby; 17 grandchildren ;
