Kyle Wesley Bollen
Kyle Wesley Bollen, 16, of Sherwood, died Sunday, Nov. 23, 2003.
He was a student at North Little Rock High School West Campus, member of the
North Little Rock High School Soccer Team and the Club Internacionale Soccer
Team. He was also a member of Fellowship Bible Church in North Little Rock. He
is survived by his parents, Dr. Lindy and Janet Bollen, Jr., of Sherwood; two sisters,
Mary Kendall Bollen, of Sherwood; and Jennifer Joy Fairley, of Moscow, Idaho;
grandparents, Dr. Lindy and Bettye Bollen, Sr, of Little Rock. Memorials may be

William R. Robinson
William R. Robinson, 77, of Sherwood, died March 30, 2004.
Bill attended Little Rock Public Schools, Little Rock Jr. College, and University of
Arkansas and received his LLB from Arkansas Law School and his Juris Doctorate
from UALR. He was a member of the Arkansas Bar Association for over 50
years. A Veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member
and Past Master of Western Star Masonic lodge #2 F. & A. M. for over 50 years
and was a member of First United Methodist Church of North Little Rock.
He is survived by his wife, Lorine Heard Robinson; two sons, Tim Robinson of
Greenbrier and Chris Robinson of Cabot; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild;
one brother, James Robinson of Malvern; and two sisters, Grace Albertson of
Washington and Bess Ambort of Louisiana.
A gathering was held Thursday, April 1, at Griffin-Leggett-Rest Hills Funeral
Home.
Graveside services were Friday, at Rest Hills Memorial Park with Reverend Sam
Parker and Western Star #2 Lodge officiating.

Hazel Louise Rogers Beck of Sherwood died Tuesday, March 30, 2004. She was
76.
She is survived by Al Beck, her husband of 53 years; children, Ken Beck of
Lebanon, Tenn., Don Beck of Russellville, Sherry Walls of Collierville, Tenn., Terry
Beck of Sherwood, and Roger Beck of Harvest, Ala.; 15 grandchildren; two
great-grandchildren; siblings Jean Mathews, Joyce Harris and Martha Rogers of
Pensacola, Fla., Ovie Hollis, Joe Rogers and Jackie Rogers of Woodbury, Tenn.,
Lynda Strickland of Nashville, Tenn., Joan Bryson of Lebanon, Tenn., Cathy

She was a member of the Sylvan Hills Church of Christ.
She was buried in the Curlee Church of Christ Cemetery in Readyville, Tenn.
Laura Arlene Drew
Laura Arlene Drew, 94, of Sherwood died March 31, 2004.
Survivors include her son, Daniel L. Drew, Jr., of Sherwood; a daughter, Laura B.
Drew-Reed of Portland, Ore.; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was a life member of Eastern Star.

Ruth S. Gonzalez
Ruth Simmons Gonzalez, 87, of Sherwood died Saturday, April 3, 2004.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
Survivors are five sons, Bob Gonzalez of Diamondhead, Miss.; Jim Gonzalez of
Picayune, Miss.; Tony Gonzalez of Sherwood; Mike Gonzalez of Cabot; and Peter
T. Gonzalez of Hemet, Calif.; one daughter, Mary Hum of Sherwood; one sister,
Maxie Baines of Houston; 32 grandchildren; and 58 great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial was held Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic
Church and burial was in Rest Hills Memorial Park. North Little Rock Funeral

S.L. "Pat" Kelley, age 89, of Sherwood died Monday, April 5, 2004.
He was a retired sheet metal worker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in
North Little Rock.
Survivors include a sister, Opal Berryman of Alexander; five grandchildren; 18
great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, 10 a.m. in Roller-Owens Funeral Home
Chapel. Burial will follow in Oak Bowery Cemetery.

Celeste S. Parish
Celeste Stanley Parish, age 89, died Monday, April 5, 2004, in Sherwood.
She was a retired bookkeeper for R.T. Hickerson, Inc., a member of the Florence
Chapter OES in North Little Rock, and a lifetime member of First Presbyterian
Church, North Little Rock. She was also an active worker in Alcoholics Anonymous
for almost 25 years.
Her son, Ross Stanley; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two
great-great-grandchildren survive her.
Funeral Services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, April 8, 2004, at First Presbyterian
Church, North Little Rock, with interment to follow at Edgewood Memorial Park,
North Little Rock.
Frances Rennard
Frances E. Rennard, 81, died Thursday, April 15, 2004.
She had been a member of Sylvan Hills First Baptist since 1963 and was a Sunday
School teacher.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph Rennard; two sons, Donald Rennard and
Dennis Rennard; daughters, Sandra Hogan and Lori Bearden and; a brother, Bill
Jones; a sister, Mary Lynn Hale; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

J.C. Brown Sr., 64, of Sherwood, former owner and operator of J.C. Brown Service
Co., died Sunday, April 18, 2004.
He was a member of Local 155 Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Union and a member of
Park View Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Frankie Reddin Brown of Sherwood; two
sons, John C. Brown Jr. and Gordon Jason Brown of Little Rock; one daughter,
Vicki Brown Morgan of Sherwood; one sister, Brenda Hogan of Ft. Worth, Texas;
and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were April 21, at Roller-Owens Funeral Home Chapel with
entombment at Rest Hills Memorial Park.
William J. Hartmeier
William J. "B.G." Hartmeier, 74, of North Little Rock died April 18, 2004.
He was a retired Marine Major who served his country in Korea and Vietnam. He
was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church and the Moose Lodge #942.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Pat Hartmeier; son, Eddie Hartmeier of
North Little Rock and daughter, Nancy Loney and husband Byron of Sherwood,
brother, Thomas Hartmeier of Tulsa, Okla.; and two grandchildren.
Funeral was Tuesday, April 20, at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home. The
interment was at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Cemetery.

Katherine Lynch Davis, 69, of England, died Sunday, April 18, 2004.
She was a member of First Baptist Church. She was retired from Maybelline
Cosmetics, where she worked for 15 years.

Danny Lynch, Scott, Michael Davis, Pasadena, Texas, Robert Davis, Shreveport,
La., and Daniel Davis, Ft. Worth, Texas: two daughters, Gayla Crook, North Little
Rock, and Michelle Shinault, Frierson, La.; one brother, Billy Corley, White Hall; 13
grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Roger Lloyd Keathley, age 65, of Des Arc died Tuesday. Survivors include his wife,

Keleta Livesay of Griffithville, Mary Jean Alford of Cabot; and three grandchildren.

James Harmon
James Robert Harmon, 84, of North Little Rock, died Thursday, April 15, 2004. He
was an Army veteran of WWII. He retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone
Company in 1982. He is survived by his wife, Dymple Harmon of North Little Rock;
a brother, Vernon Harmon of Little Rock; a daughter, Sharon Matte of Irving,
Texas; four sons, Bob Harmon of Sherwood, Randy Harmon of North Little Rock,

Evangeline O Dell Lewis, 86, a long-time resident of the Buena Vista community
and Ouachita County, died April 13, 2004. She was a member of Buena Vista
United Methodist Church. She is survived by her son, Van O Dell of North Little

Damon Royce
Damon Vernerd Royce, age 85, of Little Rock died April 14, 2004. He was a retired
director of research with Reynolds Aluminum. He was a Presbyterian Elder, and he
was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife, Janet
Willard Royce; his son, David Willard Royce of Granby, Mo.; two daughters, Shirley
Royce Irby of Sherwood, Wendy Gail Turner of Eureka Springs; his sister, Marjorie
Hill of Broomfield, Colo.; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. A Memorial
service was held at Presbyterian Village on Friday, April 16.
Edward Schmitt
Edward D. Schmitt, 88, of Sherwood died Monday, Sept. 6, 2004.
He was Mayor of Jacksonville from 1956-1962. He was a Pulaski County Deputy
Sheriff for several years. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife, Flossie Frazier Schmitt; daughter, Geraldean Phillips;
grandson; brothers, Hettie Wharton, Loyce Frazier.

Glynn L. Bernard
Glynn L. Bernard, 77, of Paducah, Ky., formerly of Sherwood were held Friday,
Sept. 3, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home in Paducah. Burial was at Brooks Memorial
Park of Paducah.
A retired finance supervisor, he owned Mail-Boxes Plus in Lone Oak and was a
member of Twelve Oaks Baptist Church and the U.S. Tennis Association. He was
a veteran of the U.S. Army and the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War.
Surviving are his wife, Judy Anderson Bernard; a daughter, Debra LaNear of St.
Louis; a stepdaughter, Cindy Collins of Paducah; three sons, Robert Bernard of Hot
Springs, Richard Bernard of Booneville, and Steve Bernard of Sherwood; a stepson,
Michael Thomason of Paducah; seven grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; four
great-grandchildren.

grandfather, Roy Strange of Bauxite.

Barbara Elaine Caldarera, 51, of North Little Rock died Oct. 6, 2002.
She was a member of Brockington Road Nazarene Church.
She is survived by her son, Joseph Caldarera Jr. of North Little Rock; daughter,
Christa Burrows of Ward; mother, Mary Brown of North Little Rock; sister,

Ellen Josephine Brady, 89, passed away Oct. 3, 2002. She is survived by two

several special friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnie Brady; a
