Mrs. Irene Bealer
Mrs. Irene Bealer, 68, of Montrose, died Sunday, September 30, 2001, at the Chicot Memorial Hospital in Lake Village. Mrs. Bealer was a native of Grady and a resident of Montrose for the past 40 years. She was a homemaker and a member of the New Light Baptist Church in Portland. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. B. Bealer in 1999; her father, George Hilliard, her mother, Ida Murphy and one brother.
She is survived by a son, Larry Bealer of Little Rock; three daughters, Ruthie Bealer Dunlap of Little Rock, Ira Jean Hall and Dorothy Mae Hatten both of Detroit, MI; a brother, George Hilliard of West Memphis; four sisters, Georgia, Alene & Pearlene Hilliard all of Rochester, NY, and Rosie Kazee of St. Louis, MO; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6 until 8 p.m., Friday, October 5, at the funeral home. Funeral services are at 1 p.m. Saturday, October 6, at the New Light Baptist Church with Rev. Eugene Mitchell officiating. Interment will be in the Montrose Cemetery under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Hamburg.
Maudine Clerget Kordsmeier
Maudine Clerget Kordsmeier, 84, of Crossett died Saturday, September 29, 2001, at her home. Born March 22, 1917, in Morrilton to Frank Xavier and Ocie Mabel Wood Clerget, she was a retired x-ray technician and an active member of the Holy Cross Catholic Church. She enjoyed arranging flowers and playing games such as cards and dominoes. She will be remembered as a person who loved visiting with people.
Survivors include her sister, Jean Clerget Dickenhorst of Monroe, LA; four nieces and nephews, many great- nieces and nephews and a host of special friends.
Funeral mass was celebrated at 11 a..m Monday, October 1, in the Holy Cross Catholic Church with Father Neil Pazzulo officiating. Burial followed services at Pinewood Memorial Park, directed by Jones Funeral Home of Crossett.
Tommy E. Lee
Tommy E. Lee, 68, of Crossett died Saturday, September 29, 2001, at his home. Born March 28, 1933, to Wesley and Maggie Lucille Braswell Lee in Crossett, he was an Air Force veteran, a retired bleach plant operator for Georgia-Pacific, a member of the Beech Street Baptist Church and was an avid coon and deer hunter.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra Snearly Lee of Crossett; two sons, Kenny Lee of Mountain Home and Chris Lee of Crossett; two daughters, Kim Coburn of Shreveport, LA, and Belinda Holland of Crossett; four brothers, Normie Glen Lee of Crossett, Harold Wayne Lee of Palataka, FL, Tony Lee of Crossett and Charles Bruce Lee of Little Rock; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Monday, October 1, in the Beech Street Baptist Church with Revs. Horace Dunn and Steve Franklin officiating. Burial followed services at the Simms Cemetery, directed by Jones Funeral Home of Crossett.
Edith Mae Nimmo
Edith Mae Nimmo, 85, of Crossett died Friday, September 28, 2001, at the Ashley County Medical Center. Born December 20, 1915, in Van Buren to Charles Wesley and Mindy McAfee Yong, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell R. Nimmo, and one daughter, Judy Henry.
Survivors include a son, Russell Nimmo of Crossett; a sister, Tressie White of Wilmot; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Grave-side services were at 10 a.m. Monday, October 1, at Pinewood Memorial Park with Bro. Roy Craig officiating. Services were directed by Jones Funeral Home of Crossett.
