VERDA MAE JENKINS

Funeral services for Verda Mae Jenkins, 73, of Crossett were held at 2 p.m. on Jan. 24 at West Crossett Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. John Marlar’s and the Rev. Jeremy Martin’s officiating. Burial was at Pugh Cemetery under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home in Hamburg.

Jenkins died on Jan. 22 at her residence. She was a lifelong resident of Crossett and was retired from Georgia-Pacific Plywood. She was a member of West Crossett Missionary Baptist.

The was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Cordell Jenkins; a sister, Norma Jean Fleming; and a great-granddaughter.

She is survived by a son, Christopher D. Jenkins of Jacksonville; a daughter, Sandra M. Gammel of Crossett; a brother; three sisters; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Pallberarers were Tim Barnett, Louis Maxwell, Billy Faye Jeffreys, Tony Lee, Martin and Parrish Griffin.

KATHRYN MICHELLE KELLEY BORGHI

Funeral services for Kathryn Michelle Kelley Borghi, 51, were at 5 p.m. on Tuesday at the Promise Land Cemetery with the Rev. Jim Ingram and the Rev. L.H. McCullough officiating. Interment followed under the direction of Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home in Hamburg.

Borghi died Saturday at her residence.She graduated from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. She was an advertising executive and a mamber of the First Baptist Church in Bastrop, La.

She is survived by her mother, Joan Sumner Kelley; a brother, Michael Kelley, both of Richmond, Va., ; and two nephews, David Kelley and Shawn Kelley.

LARRY ALLEN BROWN

Funeral services for Larry Allen “Terry” Brown, 62, of Hamburg, will be Thursday at Epistles of God Church of Deliverance with Mary Arnold officiating. Burial will follow in Johnson Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg.

Brown died Saturday at Golden Living Center in Crossett. He was a retired timber worker.

He was preceded in death by one son, Danny Brown; one brother, Dan Brown; and one sister, Versie Mae Colbert.

He is survived by two sons, David of Fredericksburg, Va., and Larry Allen Brown Jr. of Hamburg; one daughter, Leslie Brown of Fordyce; two brothers, Willie Charles Brown of Magnolia and Ronney Brown of North Little Rock; four sisters, Ruby Jewel Robinson and Kattie Bell of Little Rock, Sandra Faye Bedford of Magnolia and Shellia Ann of Crossett; and seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be James Colbert, James Lowe, Cal Tucker, Timothy Downs, Steve Brown and Gary Williamson.

JAMES ROBERT CHANCELLOR

Funeral services for James Robert “Bo” Chancellor, 69, were at 10 a.m. on Thursday at Frazer’s Chapel in Warren with the Rev. Joe McCelellan officiating. Interment followed in Shady Grove Cemetery new New Edinburg by Frazer’s Funeral Home.

Chancellor died March 3 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff.

He is survived by three bothers, Therrell Chancellor of Warren, and Wayne Chancellor and Tom Jeff Chancellor both of El Dorado; five sisters, Sarah Hamil of Warren, Nadine Pruitt of Monticello, Jewel Bryant of Crossett, Sue Shields of El Dorado and Louise Lewis of Warren.

Pallbearers were Randall Lewis, Ricky Lewis, Jim Toon, Scott Turner, Matthew Chancellor, Kurtrell Chancellor and A.J. Ayala.

TRAVIS LEE DUFF SR.

Funeral services for Travis Lee Duff Sr., 54, of Crossett, will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Living Word Church of God in Christ with Joe Mason officiating. Interment will follow in Quinn Cemetery under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg.

Duff died Sunday at his residence in Crossett. He was a former factory woker.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Duff; one son, Charlie Demetrius Duff; his parents, Charlie Taylor and Alberta Charles Duff; and one brother, Dennis James Duff.

He is survived by four sons, Marcellus and Anthony Duff both of Crossett and Travis Lee Duff Jr. and Corey Duff both of Chicago, Ill.; three bothers, Albert Duff of Strong, Robert Duff of Dallas, Texas, and William Duff of Chicago, Ill.; eight sisters, Gloria Bell, Lillian Lepole, Gail Ward, Sylvia Howard, Eugenia Robinson and Patricia Robinson of Crossett, Aubretta Armstead of Chicago, Ill., and Ida Mae Taylor of Greenville, Miss., and fourteen grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Robert Johnson, Albert Ray Gibbs, Terrian Keys, Rico Duff, Willie Lee Girtman and Michael Rivers.

KATHLEEN GAIL TRAXLER LONPACHER

Funeral services for Kathleen Gail Traxler Lonpacher, 45, of Crossett, were Saturday at 11 a.m. at Magnolia Baptist Church with Michael Griffith officiating. Interment followed in Carlock Cemetery unde rthe directions of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg.

Leonpacher died March 2 at St. Joseph’s Mercy Hopstial in Hot Springs. She was a member of Magnolia Baptist Church.

She is survived by a son, Christopher Allen Leonpacher of League City, Texas; a daughter, Brandy Gayle Leonpacher of League City, Texas; two brothers, Robert Traxler of Dallas, Texas, and Edward Traxler of Columbia, S.C.; one sister, Mary Nour of Blythewood, S.C.

Pallbearers were Lloyd Dean Leonard, Bill McLeod, Harold Bruley, Wayne Fox, Frank McMahan and John Swilley.

W.D. Self

Funeral services for W.D. “Buster” Self, 91, were Monday at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Jonesboro, La., with Malcolm Self and Charles Wesley officiating. Interment followed at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Jonesboro, La., under the direction of Edmonds Funderal Home in Jonesboro, La. Visitation was at Edmonds Funeral Home on Sunday from 4 to 9 p.m.

Self died Saturday at St. Francis Medical Center. He was a former road foreman for the Jackson Parish police jury.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Derra Mae Martin Self; three brothers, Johnny Self, J.A. Self and George Self; and one grandson.

He is survived by two daughters, Glenda Beebe of Jonesboro, La., and Ramona Terrill of Shreveport, La.; three sons, the Rev Malcolm Self and John Dell Self both of Jonesboro, La., and Ronny Self of Crossett; three brothers, Herbert Self of Orange, Texas, Huey Self of Pineville, La., and Vernon Self of Jonesboro, La.; and 15 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Craig Self, Doug Self, Johnathan Self, Brad Self, Robbie Carter and Chris Terrill.
