Hilda Pauline Little White
Hilda Pauline Little White, 80, of Crossett died Saturday, February 19, 2000, at the Ashley County Medical Center. Born May 26, 1919, to Armon and Rosa Lee Taunton Little, she was a homemaker and a member of the Beech Street Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim White.
Survivors are two daughters, Barbara Wesson of Blytheville and Cheryl Wilcoxon of Crossett; three brothers, Raymond Little of Strong, Cortez Little of Farmerville, LA, and Murphy Little of Crossett; two sisters, Avis White and Annie White, both of Crossett; five grandchildren, Jim Wesson of Harlingen, TX, David Wesson of Hamburg, Barry and Bryan Wilcoxon of Plaquemine, LA, and Brad Wilcoxon of Flagstaff, AZ; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Monday, February 21, in the Beech Street Baptist Church with Revs. Bob Vest and Gayle Riles officiating. Pallbearers were Jim and David Wesson, Barry, Brad and Bryan Wilcoxon and Ben White.
Burial followed services at Pinewood Memorial Park, directed by Jones Funeral Home of Crossett. Memorials may be made to the Beech Street Baptist Church, 500 Beech Street, Crossett, AR 71635.

Brandon Ryan Ashcroft
Brandon Ryan Ashcroft, infant son of Rev. David and Terry Anthony Ashcroft of Grady, died Monday, February 7, 2000, at the Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello.
Survivors in addition to his parents are three brothers, Dylan, Matthew and Christian Lukas Ashcroft; his maternal grandparents, Sonny and Sue Anthony of Crossett; his paternal grandparents, Herman and Willie Ashcroft of Hot Springs; and several uncles, aunts and cousins.
Grave-side services were at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 12, at the Zion Cemetery with Revs. F. Gladwin Connell and Pat Wilkerson officiating. Arrangements were by Jones Funeral Home of Hamburg.

Mary Holland Deal
Mary Holland Deal, 94, died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2000. She was the widow of Jesse J. Deal. They lived in Fountain Hill until recent years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Fountain Hill and a homemaker. Other than her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, A.B. and Minnie Holland; two brothers, Joel Holland and Buren Holland; and one sister, Lorene Sims.
Survivors include one son, Conrad Deal of Warren; three daughters, Frances Cleveland of Maumelle, Jo Ann Phillips and Jean Kilcrease of Crossett; two sisters, Clyda Fay Welsh of Cherry Log, GA, and Madge King of Crossett; two brothers, Pierson Holland of Lucas, Ohio, and Charles F. Holland of Oceanside, CA; nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 12 at 10 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Fountain Hill with the Reverend Bill Elton officiating. Burial followed at Flat Creek Cemetery under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett. Pallbearers were grandsons and great-grandsons Mark Deal, Terry Phillips, Kevin Kilcrease, Kent Kilcrease, David Cleveland, John Denton and Neal Phillips. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Fountain Hill or to a favorite charity.

Mrs. Mable Lee Edwards
Mrs. Mable Lee Edwards, 87, of Wilmot died Monday, February 7, 2000, at Morehouse General Hospital in Bastrop, LA. Mrs. Edwards was a lifelong resident of Wilmot, a retired school teacher and farmer and a member of Shady Grove A.M.E. Church. She retired from teaching after 36 years and farming after 50 years.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Myrtle Marie Watt of Wilmot, a grandson, Dewayne Watt of Wilmot, and a host of other relatives.
Funeral services were held Friday, February 11 at 1:00 p.m. at Shady Grove A.M.E. with the Rev. Nolan Watson officiating. Pallbearers were David Hill, Andrew Metcalf, Lorenzo Woods, William Jackson, Curtis Hillary and Charles Raino. Honorary pallbearers were Warren Fenceroy, William Wood, John Perkins and Cain Wilder.
Interment was in the Gospel Temple Cemetery under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home.

Mr. Martin Gutierrez
Mr. Martin Gutierrez, 26, of Hamburg died Tuesday, February 8, 2000, in Desha County. He was a native of Leon, Guanajuato, Mexico, a resident of Hamburg for the past three months, a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church, and a saw operator for Lauhon Logging Company.
Survivors include his wife, Ofelia Medrano Gutierrez; a son, Martin Guadalupe Gutierrez Medrano; a daughter, Carmela Gutierrez Medrano; his parents, Juvencio and Maria Gutierrez; six brothers, Juan Francisco, Miguel Antonio, Pascual, Bernardino, Juan Jose and Marcus Gutierrez; and two sisters, Rosalena and Belen Gutierrez, all of Leon, Guanajuato, Mexico.
A funeral mass was at 7 p.m. Sunday, February 13, in the chapel of Jones Funeral Home of Hamburg with Father Neil Pezzulo officiating. Interment will be February 18 in the Municipal Horte Cemetery in Leon, Guanajuato, Mexico, with arrangements by Jones Funeral Home of Hamburg.
