Mr. Ray Anthony Rogers
Mr. Ray Anthony Rogers, 35, of Wilmot died Monday, January 24, 2000, at the Delta Regional Medical Center in Greenville, MS. A life-long resident of Wilmot, he was an employee of Justice Pecan Company and a member of the Morning Star Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his mother, Rosie Rogers, on December 1, 1987.
Survivors include his wife, Jennie Diggs Rogers of Hamburg; four sons, Robert, Christopher and Corderra Diggs of Hamburg and Jeffrey Jermaine Stanley of Wilmot; two daughters, Christina Rogers of Hamburg and Azeria Cobbs of Parkdale; his stepfather, Troy Stanley of Wilmot; four bothers, Nathan, Dewayne "Charlie," and Troy Stanley, Jr., of Wilmot and James O'Nell of Little Rock; three sisters, Sheila M. Stanley, Gloria Jean Penn and Beverlyn R. Heard of Wilmot; and his grandmother, Fannie Raino of Wilmot.
Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Monday, January 31, in the First Baptist Church in Wilmot with Rev. George Grisley officiating. Pallbearers were Henry Moore, Bennie Diggs, Calvin Brown, Jasper Rainey, Curtis Haskins, Jr., and William Whitaker. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Wilmot High School 1982 class. Burial followed services at the St. Martha Cemetery, directed by Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg.

Mr. Shirley Swan
Mr. Shirley Swan, 80, of Hamburg died Monday, January 24, 2000, at the Ashley County Medical Center. A native of Hamburg and life-time resident of the Pine Hill community, he was a member of the Trinity Freewill Baptist Church and an U. S. Army veteran of World War II.. He retired from the Georgia-Pacific plywood mill in 1978 after 30 years of service. He was preceded in death by a son, Charles "Buster" Swan in 1995; a daughter, Cathy Swan, in 1953; his parents, John W. and Hattie Jordan Swan; three brothers, Louis, Radford and Lonnie Swan; three sisters, including his twin, Verlie Swan, and Addine Leigh and Nathalee Bozeman Martin.
Survivors include his wife, Iva Kate Norrell Swan; a daughter, Susan Kay Swan of Longview, TX; a daughter-in-law, Kathryn Norrell Swan of Hamburg; a brother, Rayford Swan of Hamburg; a sister, Donnie Pennington of Crossett; a grandson, Jason Lovett of Hamburg; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 26, in the Trinity Freewill Baptist Church with Revs. Paul McKissick and Lawrence Amos officiating. Pallbearers were Johnny and Billy Mark Swan, Kenneth and Johnnie Leigh, Wesley and Jerry Swan and Ronnie Bozeman. Burial followed services at the Carlock Cemetery, directed by Jones Funeral Home of Hamburg. Memorials may be made to the Trinity Christian Academy, 803 Ashley Road 95, Hamburg, AR 71646.

Mrs. Dell Corder Tucker
Mrs. Dell Corder Tucker, 58, of Hamburg died Wednesday, January 26, 2000, at the Ashley County Medical Center. A native of Ashley County, she lived in Portland until 1958 and had lived in Hamburg for 40 years. She retired in 1992 after 30 years as a case worker for the Department of Human Services. She attended the Gardner Baptist Church, and she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy E. Tucker, in 1994.
Survivors are a daughter, Kim Pounds and husband Mark of Hamburg; her parents, Clifford and Carrie Woods Corder, formerly of Portland; a brother, Charles W. Corder of Blanchard, LA; a sister, Sue Russell of El Dorado; a grandson, Jonathan Pounds; two nephews, Toby Russell of El Dorado and Chuck Corder of Blanchard, LA; and a niece, Lisa Hay of Blanchard, LA.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 30, in the chapel of Jones Funeral Home in Hamburg with Revs. Charles Pullin and Gayle Riles officiating. Pallbearers were Eddie Mack Murphy, Jeff Foster, Coley Lovett, Tommy Clark, Todd Callaway and Gale Hill. Honorary pallbearers were Toby Russell and Chuck Corder. Burial followed services at the Hamburg Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Hamburg High School Honors Scholarship Fund, c/o Mrs. Dot Higginbotham, 518 South Main, Hamburg, AR 71646.

Ira Lane Bays
Ira Lane Bays, 70, of Crossett died Tuesday, January 18, 2000, at his home. Born July 20, 1929, in Crossett to Leland and Gladys Hagood Bays, he was a retired millwright for the Crossett Lumber Company and a member of the Crossroads Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred Dixon Bays of Crossett; three sons, Dennis Lane Bays of Dayton, TX, Danny Lamar Bays and David Ramond Bays of Crossett; eight granddaughters, Dana Bays Sawyer of Monticello, E. Dianne Bays Davis of Little Rock, Anna Lane Bays, Carrie Spurlock, Rita Dixon, Rhonda Curran, Tina Carter and Stacy Cope, all of Crossett; two grandsons, Tyler Spurlock and Darrel Nellums of Crossett; and a great-granddaughter, Ashley Nicole Davis of Little Rock.
Grave-side services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 19, at the Carlock
Cemetery with Rev. Farrell Breshears officiating. Pallbearers were Jerry Wayne Jeffers, Bryan Bays, LaDon Martin, Jimmy Dixon, Mike Cone and Darcy Jeffers. Arrangements were by Jones Funeral Home of Crossett.
