Lillian Moore Pearson
Lillian Moore Pearson, 83, of Crossett died Saturday, May 6, 2000, at her home. A homemaker and a member of the Gates Chapel A. M. E. Church, she was preceded in death by her husband, L. D. Pearson.
Survivors are two brothers, Ellis Moore and wife Agnes and James E. Moore; a sister-in-law, Mildred Moore, all of Crossett; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial services were planned for 4 p.m. Tuesday, May 16, in the Gates Chapel A. M. E. Church with Rev. Tyrone Broomfield officiating. Burial followed at the Westview Cemetery with arrangements by Jones Funeral Home of Crossett.

Mr. Roger H. Williams
Mr. Roger H. Williams, 78, died Wednesday, May 10, 2000, at his residence in Boydell. Mr. Williams was a native of Desha County; a resident of Boydell for the past 6 months and for many years a resident of Mesa, AZ. He retired from the state of Arizona after 35 years of employment. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army, a Baptist and an avid animal watcher. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clayton & Fannie Bell Mason Williams, four sisters and one brother.
He is survived by a son, Jim Clayton Williams of Mesa, AZ; two daughters, Martha Kate Hill of Benton, AR and Carolyn Sue Cusick of Boydell; his former wife, Dottie Beaton of Boydell; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services and interment were at 3 p.m., Friday, May 12, at the Scott Cemetery outside Winchester with Rev. E.W. Ricks officiating. Honorary pallbearers were Gary Pardon, Garrett & Allen Burney, Nathan Vernon, Randy & David Barton. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Hamburg.

Mr. Eddie M. Anthony, Sr.
Eddie M. Anthony, Sr., 65, of Wilmot died Wednesday, May 3, 2000, at the Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. He was a retired chief inspector for Williams Pipeline and a member of the Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Anthony of Wilmot; a son, Eddie M. Anthony, Jr. of Monticello; two half-brothers, Bobby Porter and Jimmy Porter of Bastrop, LA; two half-sisters, Ola Mae Murphy of Bastrop and Ruby Nell Hoke of Kansas; and two grandchildren, Matthew Stephen Anthony of Wichita Falls, TX, and Thomas Andrew Anthony of Monticello.
Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 5, in the chapel of Bishop Funeral Home at Lake Village with Rev. Cecil Harvey officiating. Grave-side services were at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Carter Cemetery in Bastrop.

Mr. Harold Junior Caine
Mr Harold Junior Caine, 42, of the Snyder community died Saturday, May 6, 2000, at his residence. A life-long resident of Ashley County, he was a disabled truck driver and a member of the Pentecostal Church. He was preceded in death by his father, J. C. Harold Caine, and two brothers, James and Willie Clarence Caine.
Survivors include his mother, Ruby Slaughter Caine of Snyder; a brother, Dale Caine of Snyder; three sisters, Patricia Cherry and Gail Williamson of Crossett and Glenda Thomas of Shreveport, LA.
Funeral services were planned for 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 9, in the Cromwell Funeral Home chapel with Revs. Will Lambert and Harold Yandell officiating. Pallbearers were to be Jackie Johnson, Bruce Johnson, Mike Shaver, Frankie White, Steve Naff and Roger Naff.
Burial was to follow services at the Snyder Cemetery.
