on September 28, 1937, to Horace and Thelma Ramage Thompson, he was a retired foreman for Champion Papers.
Survivors include his wife, Janet K. Thompson of Decatur, AL; and a sister, Jerri Ann Thompson of Crossett.
Grave-side services were at 2 p.m. Friday, December 29, at Pinewood Memorial Park with arrangements by Jones Funeral Home of Crossett.
Junior Edward Weeks
Junior Edward Weeks, 62, of Lake Village died Thursday, December 28, 2000, at his home. He retired after 25 years in the service department of Farm Equipment Company and was a member of the Lake Village Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Weeks.
Survivors include five brothers, Bill and Bobby Weeks of Lake Village, James Weeks of Cullman, AL, Perry Weeks of Altus, OK, and Burley Weeks of Jasper, TX; and a sister, Louise Card of Greenville, MS.
Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 30, in the Bishop Funeral Home chapel with Lake Village with Rev. Brandon Massey officiating. Burial followed services at the Jennie Cemetery.
Barbara Jeanette Brown
Barbara Jeanette Brown, 57, of Homer, LA, died Tuesday, June 19, 2001, at her home. Born December 31, 1943, in Eudora, she was a homemaker and was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Nikki Hernandez, and a brother, Alfred Graves.
Survivors include three sons, Kent Vercher of Hammond, LA, Keith Vercher of Mobile, AL, and Kyle Brown of Homer, LA; two daughters, Kim Vercher of Crossett and Kara Brigman of Bastrop, LA; her parents, Harold and Darling Leona Etue Graves of Homer, LA; one brother, Preston Graves of Alexandria, LA; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 21, in the chapel of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett with Rev. Robert McGaha officiating. Pallbearers were Kenneth and Lou Brigman, Kyle Brown, Kent and Keith Vercher and Wayne Hernandez. Burial followed services at the Unity Cemetery.
Delois Campbell
Delois Campbell, 48, of Crossett died Monday, June 18, 2001, at her home. A lifelong resident of Crossett and an employee of the Georgia-Pacific extrusion plant, she was a member of the New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church and a 1971 graduate of T. W. Daniels High School. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lou Wallace and Lucille Douglass Dawkins.
Survivors include two sons, Derrick and Jamaal Campbell of Crossett; a daughter-in-law, Carol Campbell; two brothers, Sherman and James Dawkins of Crossett; a sister, Georgetta Waters of Crossett; and two grandchildren, Derius and Cierra Campbell.
Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Friday, June 22, in the New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. B. J. Jackson officiating. Pallbearers were Curtis Boston, Sr., Archie Jones, Jimmy Ray Gilbert, Jerry McDonald, Dennis Williams and Scotty McCay. Burial followed services at the Westview Cemetery, directed by Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg.
