July 30, 1933, to Thomas Wesley and Mary Bob Tuggle Willis in Collins, she worked as a secretary for the public schools for many years and loved genealogy. A member of the First Baptist Church of Crossett, she was preceded in death by her father.
Survivors include her husband, Jackie Burchfield; a son, Barry Burchfield and wife Dawn of Crossett; a daughter Jennifer Burchfield of North Little Rock; her mother, Mary Willis and a sister, Rose Marie Willis, both of North Little Rock; and two granddaughters, Jordan Bailey Burchfield and Maci Grace Burchfield of Crossett.
Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 23, in the First Baptist Church of Crossett with Dr. David Newberry and Bro. R. V. White officiating. Pallbearers were L. C. Cooper III, Mike Jones, Michael Ray, Jack Allen, Jimmie Lewis, and Jimmy Rice. Honorary pallbearers were Mike and Steve Jones, Gary Don Madden, Chris and Brett Collins, Greg and Jeff Knight, David Fowler, Mike Pennington and Eddie Tew.
Burial followed services at the Pinewood Memorial Park, directed by Jones Funeral Home of Crossett. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, 701 Main Street, Crossett, AR 71635.
Mr. Joe Kusturin
Mr. Joe Kusturin, 78, of Little Rock, died Sunday, May 27, 2001, at the Southwest Medical Center in Little Rock. A native of Filbert, West Virginia, he was raised in Hamburg and was a resident of Little Rock for the past 47 years. He was a retired plumber; an U. S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II and. a Catholic. He was preceded in death by his parents, John & Verona Cherry Kusturin; three brothers, Johnny, Matt & George Kusturin and two sisters, Mary & Paula Kusturin.
He is survived by two daughters, Nelda Hodges of Shannon Hills and Cynthia Anderson of Cabot; two brothers, Albert Kusturin of Hamburg and Martin Kusturin of Boone, NC; a sister, Lennie Mahan of Corpus Christi, TX; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m., Wednesday, May 30, at the funeral home. Funeral services are at 10 a.m., Thursday, May 31, in the chapel of Jones Funeral Home of Hamburg with Rev. Charles Pullin officiating. Interment will be in the Hamburg Cemetery under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Hamburg. Ethel "Irene" Langley
Ethel "Irene" Langley, 92, of Crossett died Sunday, May 27, 2001, at the Ashley County Medical Center. Born August 10, 1909, in Crossett to William Walter and Alabama Rickman Lochala, she was a member of the Assembly of God for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Alymer Langley.
Survivors include two sons, William Charles Langley of Houston, TX, and Donald D. Langley of Crossett; three daughters, Alma Jean Pinkston of Crossett, JoAnn Johnson of Jacksonville, FL, and Christine Graves of Crossett; three sisters, Gladys Murphy, Onie Rickman and Eloise Young, all of Crossett; twelve grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Grave-side services were planned for 10 a. m. Tuesday, May 29, at Pinewood Memorial Park with Bro. Larry Hickman officiating. Services were directed by Jones Funeral Home of Crossett.
