Frank M. Moore
Frank M. Moore, 44, of Crossett died Thursday, September 7, 2000, in the St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe, LA. Born July 6, 1956, in Crossett to A. B. Moore, Jr., and the late Marguerite Potts Moore, he was a graduate of Crossett High School and was employed by the Bemis Company, Inc., of Crossett. A member of the Crossett First United Methodist Church, he was an avid fisherman and hunter and enjoyed raising a garden and playing with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Barbara J. Moore of Crossett; a daughter, Mrs. Chuck (Traci) Allen of Crossett; a son, Kerry Philips of San Antonio, TX; his father, A. B. Moore, Jr., of Crossett; a sister, Marian H. Moore of Crossett; two brothers, Albert B. Moore III and wife Roberta of Crossett and William F. Moore and wife Patricia of Richmond, VA; two grandchildren, Jacob and Kennedy Allen of Crossett; and nieces and nephews Amanda Rich of Salem, OR, Eric Albert Moore of Wildhaus, Switzerland, and William Allen Moore and Erin Colette Moore of Richmond, VA. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday, September 10, in the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Bill Williams, Stephen Hillman and Zale Lewis officiating. Pallbearers were Jack Allen, Dennis Ellis, Charlie Griever, Walter Hillman, Trent Knight, Johnny Lovett, Jack Reynolds and Jim Rich. Burial followed services at Pinewood Memorial Park with arrangements by Jones Funeral Home of Hamburg. Memorials may be made to the Paul Sullins Library, the Crossett Centennial Park or the memorial garden fund at the First United Methodist Church of Crossett.

Arvell Nalls, Sr.
Arvell Nalls, Sr., 67, of Crossett died Wednesday, September 6, 2000, at the Jefferson Regional Medical Center. A lifelong resident of Ashley County, he was retired from the Georgia-Pacific plywood mill and was a member of the Pentecostal Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Louise Nalls; his parents, John Allen and Izora Bryant Nalls; five brothers and one sister. Survivors include four sons, Arvell Nalls, Jr., of Jacksonville, TX, Jerry and wife Lisa and Gary and Kelvin Nalls, all of Monticello; a daughter, Temara and husband Byron Portis of Baton Rouge, LA; a brother, Zola Nalls of Oakland, CA; two sisters, Novella Lewis of Crossett and Veola Buffington of San Francisco, CA; and six grandchildren. Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Monday, September 11, in the Cromwell Funeral Home chapel with Bishop R. E. Matheney officiating. Pallbearers were Edgar Nalls, Percell Freeman, James Mitchell, Ricky Matheney, Marseleno Reed and Melvin Nalls. Burial followed services at the Westview Cemetery.

Thomas William Noble
Thomas William "T.W." Noble, 79, of Monticello, died Thursday, August 31, 2000, at this home. He was born February 20, 1921 in Hamburg to the late Robert P. and Mattie Tumlison Noble. Mr. Noble was retired from the Arkansas Highway Dept. and was a farmer. He was a World War II Navy veteran and a member of the Church of Christ but attended Mount Zion Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his wife, Ouida B. Yount Noble of Monticello; two daughters, Crystal Noble of Monticello and Karen Belknap of Dallas, TX; and one sister, Robbye Haggard of El Dorado. Grave-side services were on Saturday, September 2, at 9:00 a.m. with the Rev. Mike Garvey officiating at the Mount Zion Cemetery. Services were directed by Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home of Monticello.

S. T. Taylor, Jr.
S. T. Taylor, Jr., 91, of Crossett died Tuesday, September 5, 2000, at his home. Born February 15, 1909, to Solom T. Sr., and Edna Haynes Taylor, he worked for the Crossett Lumber company from 1929 until 1942 as a grader. He then went into the U. S. Army and served as a diesel operator, maintaining and operating a diesel engine that was part of the radar unit on the aircraft warning system. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Charlie E. and Clinton O. Taylor; and two stepbrothers, Clyde and James Standridge. Survivors include a niece, Noma Thompson of Hamburg. Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Friday, September 8, in the Jones Funeral Home chapel in Crossett with Rev. Roy Craig and Dan Webb officiating. Pallbearers were Billy Taunton, Aubrey Lephiew, James Watt, Josh Taunton, Donald Mathews, and Jeremy Taunton. Honorary pallbearers were Jessie "Jap" Watt, Luke Clack and Billy Mack Watt. Burial followed services at the Mount Zion Cemetery.
