Oct. 15, 1949, in Colcord, she was the daughter of Albert (An) Anderson Kirby and Velma Elizabeth Sisson.
Kirby-Wright was a special education teacher for 21 years at Kenwood School and various other schools. She was a member of the Oklahoma Teachers Association and the National Teachers Association.
She was preceded in death by her previous husband, Evert Jay Wilkerson; two fathers-in-law, Jay Wilkerson and Doyle Wright; and a sister, Myrtle Jewel Kirby.
Survivors include a son, Carlos Wright of the home; two sisters, Mayce Larmon and husband Danny, and Annavee Kirby-Denny, all of Colcord; four brothers-in-law, Barney, Billy Ray, Kenneth Wilkerson and Buz Larmon, all of Colcord; and two sisters-in-law, Maxine Larmon and Barbara Whitmire.
A funeral service took place June 7 at the Draper Community Center in Colcord. Larry Ellis officiated the service, which was followed by burial at Sunset Cemetery.

Erman Dell Wood
Erman Dell Wood, 89, of Colcord, Okla., died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2004, in Tulsa, Okla., after an extended illness. She was born April 15, 1915, near Colcord to Frank Gibson and Bertha Gibson.
She attended school at Minni Ha Ha through the eighth grade. She was a homemaker and a longtime resident of Colcord. She attended Faith Baptist Church in Sandusky, Okla. She enjoyed reading and crocheting.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Richard Leno "Lee" Wood, in 1979; an infant son, Franklin John Wood; a daughter, Betty Reynolds; two granddaughters; and a great-granddaughter.
Survivors include four sons and two daughters-in-law, Richard Calvin of Tulsa, Okla., Lowell Wood and Wanda Wood of Colcord, Clyde Wood and Betty Jo Wood of Rogers, Ark., and Dennis Wood of Watts, Okla.; four daughters and two sons-in-law, Eula Bernard of Tulsa, Hazel Dentis of Gravette, Ark., Velva Hernden and Bill Hernden of Neodesha, Kan., and Reba Cobb and Don Cobb of Springdale, Ark.; two sisters, Betty Scales and Doris Sherman, both of Clatskanie, Ore.; 17 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 5, at Wasson Funeral Home of Siloam Springs, Ark. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, at the Faith Baptist Church in Sandusky, Okla., with Brother Mike Whiteley. Burial will be at the Row Cemetery in Colcord.
Paul "Smokey" Boles
Paul "Smokey" Boles, 87, of Pineville, Mo., died Monday, Nov. 1, 2004, at Freeman Neosho Hospital in Neosho, Mo. He was born Aug. 12, 1917, in Howell, Ark., to William Boles and Cleda Emery Boles.
He worked as a lineman for the Santa Fe Railroad and as one of the first policemen in Owasso, Okla. He later worked construction for Douglas Aviation in Tulsa, Okla. He and his wife moved to the Grove, Okla., area from Tulsa in 1978 and had lived in Pineville for 10 years. He enjoyed camping, fishing and playing his guitar.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Carolyn May Boles.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Laura Crippen Boles; a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara Baker and Harold Baker of Pineville; a sister, Alma Stroud of Baytown, Texas; two half brothers, Alvie Boles and Ed Boles, both of Rosedale, Okla.; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 4, at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home of Grove, Okla., with the Rev. Jerry Seigel.
Burial will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 4, at the Collinsville Cemetery in Collinsville, Okla.
