Louise M. Beckman

Louise M. Beckman, 98, of Rogers, Ark., formerly of Burlington, Iowa, died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2004, at her home. She was born Feb. 2, 1906, in Burlington to Albert Sauermann and Margaret Quigley Sauermann. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Rogers. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Dr. Lester Leroy Anderson, on April 20, 1962; and Linus T. Beckman, on Sept. 18, 1990; and a brother, Norton Sauermann.

Survivors include three stepsons, Stephen Beckman and his wife Ellie Beckman, Thomas Beckman and his wife Margaret Beckman, and Dr. Jerome Beckman and his wife Ann Beckman; a stepdaughter, Margaret Mary Zucco and her husband Joseph Zucco; a brother and sister-in-law, Don Sauermann and Mary Lee Sauermann; two nephews, Albert Sauermann and Michael Sauermann; a great-niece; and a great-nephew.

A vigil service will be held at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 5, at Benton County Funeral Home of Rogers with Father Theophius Okpara.

Graveside funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 8, at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Burlington, Iowa.

Daniel "Dan" Duane Griffith

Daniel "Dan" Duane Griffith, 67, of Rogers, Ark., died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2004, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Ark. He was born Dec. 14, 1936, in Denver, Colo., to Glenn Griffith and Josephine Evelyn Griffith.

He served in the U.S. Navy from 1953 until 1957. He had lived in northwest Arkansas since 1976, moving from Nevada. He had worked with Wal-Mart Stores Inc. in the Layout Room in Bentonville, Ark., for more than 10 years. He was an avid runner, completing the Los Angeles Marathon twice. He enjoyed music and golf.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, Anna Mae Griffith, in 1993; a brother; and a sister.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Gary D. Bowling and Brenda Bowling of Austin, Texas; two daughters and a son-in-law, Shauna Lazenby and Ken Lazenby of Rogers, and Janet S. Wooley of Reno, Nev.; two brothers, Marshall Griffith of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Darrell Griffith of San Diego, Calif.; a sister and brother-in-law, Polly Christenson and Chris Christenson of Las Vegas, Nev.; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at noon Thursday, Nov. 4, at the Bella Vista Country Club, in Bella Vista, Ark., on the terrace. In case of rain, the service will be held at noon at the Metfield Club in Bella Vista.

Cremation arrangements are by Stockdale Funeral Services of Rogers.

Flowers may be delivered to Shauna Lazenby, 3301 Seminole Road, Rogers, Ark., prior to the memorial service.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1599 Clifton Road N. E., Atlanta, GA 30329.

Charles Eugene McChristian

Charles Eugene McChristian, 64, of Rogers, Ark., died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2004, in Rogers. He was born June 10, 1940, in Lowell, Ark., to Noble Edward McChristian and Hannah T. Trotter McChristian.

He was a lifelong resident of northwest Arkansas. He was a cabinet maker and enjoyed woodworking.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Billy McChristian and Coy McChristian.

Survivors include a son, Johnny McChristian of Rogers; two daughters, Cindy Loftin of Avoca, Ark., and Tina Robertson of Rogers; a sister, LeVean Smith of Rogers; a sister-in-law, Betty McChristian of Rogers; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 4, at Callison-Lough Funeral Service of Rogers.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 5, at the Callison-Lough Funeral Chapel.

Burial will be at the Rogers Cemetery.

Marvin Roller

Marvin Roller, 69, of Rogers, Ark., died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2004, at his home. He was born June 20, 1935, in Brightwater, Ark., to Claude Roller and Ella Roller.

He was a member of the Midway Freewill Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, John Roller and George Roller; and a sister, Lena Morrison.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Roller; six sons, Glen Roller of Lowell, Ark., David Roller, Lee Jennings and James Roller, all of Rogers, Clea Jennings of Gentry, Ark., and Johnny Roller of Grove, Okla.; a daughter, Karen Morgan of Jane, Mo.; two brothers, Harold Roller and Bill Roller, both of Rogers; two sisters, Lou Meredith of Dallas, Texas, and Inez Milligan of Claremore, Okla.; and 10 grandchildren. There will be no visitation. Graveside funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 5, at the Tuck’s Chapel Cemetery near Rogers. Arrangements are by Callison-Lough Funeral Service of Rogers. Betty J. Scudder Betty J. Scudder, 73, of Rogers, Ark., died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2004, in Rogers. Arrangements are pending with Callison-Lough Funeral Service of Rogers.

Steven Lloyd Cole

Steven Lloyd Cole, 41, of Seligman, Mo., died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2004, at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Mo. He was born July 25, 1963, in Durant, Okla., to Lonnie Lee Cole and Dorothy Odella Kennedy Cole.

He was a painter and a member of the Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Misty Michelle Cole; his parents, Lonnie and Dorothy Cole; a brother, Lonnie Dale Cole; and a sister, Irene Whisenhunt.

Survivors include his partner, Delores Trotter of Seligman; two sons, Steven Cole and Joshua Lee Cole, both of Denison, Texas; a brother, Fred D. Cole of Shallowater, Texas; three sisters, Vicky Ray Cole of Achille, Okla., Glenda Lee Davis of Benton, Ark., and Fredia Sorters of Palestine, Texas; and a granddaughter. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are by Benton County Funeral Home of Rogers, Ark.

Joshua Blake DeMoss

Joshua Blake DeMoss, 5-month-old son of Joshua Eric DeMoss and Felicia Marie DeMoss of Siloam Springs, Ark., died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2004, at Northwest Medical Center of Washington County in Springdale, Ark. He was born June 10, 2004, in Fayetteville, Ark.

Survivors include his parents; a sister, Jessica Nicole DeMoss of the home; his paternal grandparents, Carl DeMoss of Fayetteville, Ark., and Wayne and Terry Collins of Siloam Springs; his maternal grandparents, Sherri Johnson of Oxford, Ala., and Roger Robbins of Mena, Ark.; his paternal great-grandparents, Hugh and Wanda Woolard of Siloam Springs, and Beatrice DeMoss of Colcord, Okla.; his maternal great-grandmother, Yvonne Robbins of Tulsa, Okla.; his paternal great-great-grandmother, Frona Misener of Siloam Springs; and an aunt, Carrie DeMoss of Siloam Springs.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 4, at Wasson Funeral Home of Siloam Springs.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 5, at the House of Prayer Church in Siloam Springs with Brother Bob Bolin and Brother Hugh Woolard.

Burial will be at the Fairmount Cemetery near Gentry, Ark.

Norma Jean Mills

Norma Jean Mills, 68, of Tulsa, Okla., died Sunday, Nov. 21, 2004, in Tulsa. She was born Dec. 13, 1935, in Siloam Springs, Ark., to Gid Williamson and Pearl Williamson.

She was a customer service representative for the Tulsa World newspaper. She was a member of the Bethel Baptist Temple in Tulsa.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Carl Williamson; and a son, Charles David Turner.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Karla Christy and Chuck Christy of Tulsa; two sons and daughters-in-law, Keith Turner and Chris Turner of Tulsa, and Ken Turner and Linda Turner of Lowell, Ark.; her former husband, Alfred Mills of Berryhill, Okla.; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara McCarty and Robert McCarty of Tulsa, Inez Davis and Floyd Davis of Sperry, Okla., Faye Luther and Ray Luther of Muskogee, Okla., and Helen Kinzey and Curtis Kinzey of Siloam Springs; two brothers, James Williamson of Skiatook, Okla., and Charles Williamson of Yukon, Okla.; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24, at the Bethel Baptist Temple in Tulsa with the Rev. Keith Blake and the Rev. Floyd Davis.

Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24, at the Norwood Cemetery near Siloam Springs, Ark.

Arrangements are by Mark Griffith Memorial Funeral Home’s Westwood Chapel in Tulsa. Bella Vista Lois Mary Robinson Drum Lois Mary Robinson Drum, 83, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Monday, Nov. 22, 2004, at her home. She was born April 10, 1921, in La Crosse, Kan. She marriage John V. Drum on July 12, 1941. Survivors include her husband, John Drum; two children; and four grandchildren. Private family services are pending. Arrangements are by the Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory.

Marjorie Sherman Baggett

Marjorie Sherman Baggett, 78, of Bentonville, Ark., died Sunday, Nov. 7, 2004, while visiting her grandson and family in Brentwood, Calif. She was born Nov. 8, 1925.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Roger Sherman and Rose Sherman, and Robert and Robin; a grandson, Michael Wolcott; a granddaughter, Sarah Sherman; and a great-granddaughter, Aiko Phan Sherman.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 27, at the First Presbyterian Church in Bentonville.

Arrangements are by Callison-Lough Funeral Service of Bentonville.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Stephen Penfield Kressen

Stephen Penfield Kressen, 52, of Rogers, Ark., died Sunday, Oct. 31, 2004, at his home. He was born Jan. 10, 1952.

Arrangements are pending with Benton County Funeral Home of Rogers.

Memorials may be made to a scholarship fund established for the Kressen Children, in care of Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. Fourth St., Rogers AR 72756.

Eva Lorraine Patton

Eva Lorraine Patton, 49, of Rogers, Ark., died Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2004, at her home. She was born Feb. 16, 1955, in Bossier, La., to William Charles Howe and Eva Marie Eberhardt Howe.

She was employed by Rental Service Corp. of Rogers.

Survivors include her caregiver, Greg Steiner of Rogers; a daughter, Elisha Sherlene Barry of Fort Smith, Ark.; and three grandchildren, Kaila Barry, Dylan Barry and Devin Barry.

Cremation arrangements are by Rollins Funeral Home of Rogers.
