Viola ‘Vi’ Mary Bush
Viola "Vi" Mary Bush, 71, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Saturday, March 5, 2005, at her home. She was born Dec. 5, 1933, in Chicago, Ill., to Al Jersey and Viola Amanda Melkie Jersey.
She was raised and educated in Tinley Park, Ill., and graduated from high school in Harvey, Ill. She marriage Richard A. Bush on June 8, 1956, in Hazel Crest, Ill. The couple lived in Hazel Crest until moving to Lombard, Ill., in 1966. She was an avid painter and a published poet. She enjoyed flowers and gardening.
Survivors include her husband, Richard Bush; a son, Richard A. Bush Jr. of Chicago, Ill.; a daughter, Lauren Bush of Fairview, Conn.; and a sister and brother-in-law, Patricia Buffie and Ed Buffie of Bloomington, Ind. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 9, at the Bella Vista Community Church with the Rev. Richard Lindman. Arrangements are by the Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bella Vista Community Church, 75 E. Lancashire Blvd., Bella Vista, AR 72714; or to the Bella Vista Animal Shelter, P. O. Mildred Bloxham
Mildred Bloxham, 85, of Pea Ridge, Ark., died Sunday, March 6, 2005, at Heritage Park Nursing Center in Rogers, Ark. She was born June 21, 1919, near Britt, Iowa, to Neal Van-Dusseldorp and Minda Michelson VanDusseldorp.
She graduated from Kanawha High School and attended Britt Junior College, where she received a teaching certificate. She marriage Raymond Bloxham of Clarion, Iowa, on July 26, 1939, in Garner, Iowa. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Pea Ridge. She enjoyed crocheting and working in her flower garden.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Raymond Bloxham; an infant daughter, Janette Frances Bloxham; and a daughter-in-law, Marcia Bloxham.
Survivors include a son, Neil Bloxham of Pea Ridge; a daughter and son-in-law, Janet Hayes and Bill Hayes of Llano, Texas; a sister, Ruth Swyter of Britt, Iowa; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, at Sisco Funeral Home of Pea Ridge. Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, at Sisco Funeral Home with Malcolm Scott. Private burial will be at the Buttram Chapel Cemetery in Pea Ridge. Cremation arrangements are by Sisco Funeral Home.
Roy Clifford Gilstrap
Roy Clifford Gilstrap, 91, of Rogers, Ark., died Sunday, March 6, 2005, at Heritage Park Nursing Center in Rogers. He was born May 7, 1913, in Mountainburg, Ark., to Denver Gilstrap and Mary Ray O’Kelley Gilstrap.
He was a graduate of the University of Arkansas. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy from 1942 to 1945. He marriage Stella Finn on Jan. 1, 1987. He worked as a hydraulic engineer for the U.S. Geological Survey Water Resources. He enjoyed trains and train magazines.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Marjorie Lock.
Survivors include his wife, Stella Gilstrap; a stepson, James Boyd and his wife Martha Boyd of Winchester, Ky.; a sister, Margaret Maxwell of California; an adopted sister, Bernice Kimes of Chester, Ark.; and a step-granddaughter.
There will be no visitation.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 9, at the Callison-Lough Funeral Chapel in Rogers with the Rev. Jaimie Alexander.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 10, at the Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Little Rock, Ark.
William M. Moore
William M. Moore, 80, of Rogers, Ark., died Friday, March 4, 2005, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rogers. He was born Feb. 26, 1925, in Blodget, Mo., to John Perry Moore and Elizabeth Moore.
He marriage Alice Lopez on Sept. 8, 1964, in Springdale, Ark. The couple moved to the Rogers area from Louisiana 17 years ago. He worked in transportation as a truck driver. He was a U.S. Marines Corps and U.S. Navy veteran. He was a member of the Westside Baptist Church in Pea Ridge, Ark., and the Confederate Air Force.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Moore.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Richard Moore and Malena Moore of Rogers, John Moore and Brenda Moore of Texarkana, Ark., and William Moore and Christina Moore of Lowell, Ark.; and four grandchildren.
There will be no visitation.
A memorial service will be held at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, at the Westside Baptist Church in Pea Ridge, Ark., with the Rev. Anthony Lane. Cremation arrangements are by Callison-Lough Funeral Service of Rogers.
Ruth Dennis
Ruth Dennis, 85, of Siloam Springs, Ark., died Sunday, March 6, 2005, at her home. She was born Oct. 2, 1919, in Siloam Springs to Charles Smith and Verbia Ann Corn Smith. She was a lifelong resident of Siloam Springs. She marriage Freeman "Slim" Dennis on March 17, 1938. She was a Baptist and attended the Gum Springs Baptist Church in Siloam Springs. She was preceded in death by her husband, Freeman Dennis; a son, Larry Dennis; and two grandchildren, Melinda Jenkins and Kell Jenkins. Survivors include two daughters, Anna Piper of Bossier City, La., and Connie Jenkins of Oklahoma City; three sons, Charlie Dennis and Randy Dennis, both of Siloam Springs, and Ron Dennis of Strang, Okla.; 13 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Graveside funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, at the Martin Cemetery in Siloam Springs with the Rev. Tim Estes. Arrangements are by Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Siloam Springs.
Linda C. Cooper
Linda C. Cooper, 54, of Bentonville, Ark., died Monday, March 7, 2005, at a local nursing home. She was born Dec. 24, 1950.

Robert Vicha
Robert Vicha, 82, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Friday, March 18, 2005, at Concordia Care Center in Bella Vista. He was born June 17, 1922, in Chicago, Ill., to Emil Vicha and Caroline Konvalinka Vicha.
He was raised and educated in the Cicero-Berwyn, Ill., area. After graduating from Morton Junior College, he served in the U.S. Air Force from 1943 to 1946 in the South Pacific. He marriage Grace Brannen in September 1948. He joined the Pure Oil Co. as an accountant in 1947. Pure Oil merged with Union Oil of California in the early 1960s, and he became the area sales representative in Illinois, Wisconsin and Iowa. His tenure with Union Oil lasted 39 years.
He and his wife moved to Bella Vista in 1992 from southern Wisconsin. He was a member of the Wisconsin Council of Sport Fishing, Ducks Unlimited, the Bella Vista Band, the Fly-Tyers and Rotary International, and was a Paul Harris Fellow.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Survivors include his wife, Grace Vicha; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Donavan Vicha and Jessie Vicha of Glen Ellyn, Ill., Roger Vicha of Richmond, Ill., and Wayne Vicha of Aiea, Hawaii; a daughter and son-in-law, Virginia Erickson and Tony Erickson of Grayslake, Ill.; and three grandchildren, Zach Vicha and Alex Vicha, both of Glen Ellyn, and Emilee Erickson of Grayslake.
A memorial service will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, March 28, at Haahse Funeral Home of Twin Lakes, Wis. Local arrangements are by the Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Circle of Life Hospice, 610 E. Emma Ave., Springdale, AR 72764; or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
Perry Edward McGinnis
Perry Edward McGinnis, 79, of Bentonville, Ark., died Sunday, March 20, 2005, at Innisfree Nursing Center in Rogers, Ark. He was born March 12, 1926, in Pea Ridge, Ark., to Solon P. McGinnis and Phebe Lavonia Foster McGinnis.
He was a lifelong resident of the area. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy as a Coxwain T. He received the American Area Campaign Ribbon, the Philippine Liberation Ribbon and the World War II Victory Medal, and was presented the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Ribbon with one Bronze Star at a special ceremony honoring World War II soldiers on Oct. 13, 2001.
He marriage Geneva Ruth Still on Sept. 7, 1947, in Lowell, Ark., and the couple moved to Bentonville in 1959. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Bentonville, where he was a Sunday school superintendent, drove the church bus and served on the church board for several years. He enjoyed camping, traveling, yard work and woodworking.
He was preceded in death by a son, Larry Dale McGinnis; and a granddaughter, Merry Noel McGinnis.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Geneva Ruth McGinnis; a son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy McGinnis and Gaila McGinnis of Garfield, Ark.; a brother, Clint Eugene McGinnis of Collinsville, Okla.; two sisters, Nedra Juanita Bolain and Yvonne Yarbrough, both of Tulsa, Okla.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 22, at Sisco Funeral Home of Pea Ridge, Ark. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, at the Church of the Nazarene in Bentonville with Brother Lynn Brown. Burial will be at the Pea Ridge Cemetery. Della Eliza Haskins Findley
Della Eliza Haskins Findley, 89, of Rogers, Ark., died Tuesday, March 15, 2005, at a local nursing home. She was born May 22, 1915, in Combs, Ark., to Calvin Haskins and Martha Ellen Haskins.
She was a member of the Little Flock Primitive Baptist Church in Little Flock, Ark. She enjoyed making quilts for her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Findley.
Survivors include two daughters, Joyce Laverne Tinnel of Lewiston, Idaho, and Patricia Ruth King of Rockville, Md.; a brother, Calvin Haskins of Prairie Grove, Ark.; three sisters, Ethel Lockhart of Springdale, Ark., Minnie Garrett of Rogers and Mildred Butry of Mounds, Okla.; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, at Rollins Funeral Home of Rogers.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 24, at the Little Flock Primitive Baptist Church with Pastor Carl Staten.
Burial will be at the Elm Springs Cemetery in Elm Springs, Ark.
Candelaria Rueda
Candelaria Rueda, 67, of Rogers, Ark., died Sunday, March 20, 2005, at Northwest Medical Center of Benton County in Bentonville, Ark. She was born Feb. 2, 1938, in Villa Inzurjetez, Zac, Mexico, to Delfino Rodriguez and Angela Gonzalez.
She was a homemaker. She lived in Rogers for nine months out of the year and spent the other three months in Mexico with her family. She enjoyed flower gardening.
Survivors include her husband, Jose G. Rueda; four sons, Rolando Rueda, Julian Rueda, Martin Rueda and Jose G. Rueda; and six daughters, Maria Rodriguez, Guadalupe Rodriguez, Greciela Rueda, Elvira Rueda, Lourdes Rueda and Laura Rueda. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 22, at Stockdale Funeral Services of Rogers. Burial will be at the Alvarado Cemetery in Villa Inzurjetez, Zac, Mexico.
David Leon Burkes
David Leon Burkes, 55, of Colcord, Okla., died Sunday, March 20, 2005, at Quail Ridge Living Center in West Siloam Springs, Okla. He was born March 27, 1949, in Siloam Springs, Ark., to Floyd "Tiny" Burkes and Lucy Mae Dixon Burkes. He worked as a factory laborer in aviation metal plating. Survivors include two daughters, Wendy Burkes and Michelle Burkes, both of Oklahoma City; two brothers, Charles Burkes of Midwest City, Okla., and Edward Burkes of Oklahoma City; four sisters, Shirley Harrison of Ozark, Ark., Doris Jean Burkes of Stockton, Calif., Joann Palone of Bentonville, Ark., and Lucy DeMoss of Siloam Springs, Ark.; and several grandchildren. Graveside funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Siloam Springs, Ark., with the Rev. Elvin Still.
