Ruby Lee Cutberth

Ruby Lee Cutberth, 88, of Seligman, Mo., died Sunday, April 24, 2005, at Northwest Medical Center of Benton County in Bentonville, Ark. He was born June 5, 1916, in Little Indian Creek near Lampe, Mo., to William M. Cutberth and Nancy Ann Hammers Cutberth.

He was a life-long resident of this area. He was a farmer, drove a school bus for Southwest R5 School District of Washburn, Mo., for 30 years. At age 75, he began dancing at Silver Dollar City and for the following 10 years he was known as the "Mambo King." He also performed on the showboat Branson Belle and made 60 appearances in one year.

He enjoyed traveling, listening to the Grand Ole Opry and music. He was a member of the Sugar Creek Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth Cutberth; and a second wife, Velta Cutberth; two daughters, Frances Cutberth and Maxine Cutberth; and a son, Paul Cutberth.

Survivors include four sons, Ray Cutberth and Charles Cutberth, both of Seligman, Tony Cutberth of Bentonville and Dale Cutberth of Bella Vista, Ark.; two daughters, Elsie Cutberth of Eagle Rock, Mo., and Joyce Ward of Bentonville; 17 grand children and 25 great-grandchildren. Visitation is 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 26 at Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 27 at Sisco Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Johnny Holt. Burial will be at Antioch Cemetery, north of Pea Ridge.

Matta Jean McDonald

Matta Jean McDonald, 83, of Siloam Springs, Ark., died Sunday, April 24, 2005, in Siloam Springs. She was born Aug. 10, 1921, in Gentry, Ark., to Clarence Ratcliff and Mary Grace Taylor Ratcliff.

She was a former longtime resident of Huntsville, Ark., where she taught at the secondary level in the Huntsville Public Schools for 32 years until she retired. She was a graduate of the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville where she earned a masters degree. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Huntsville. She was also a member of the Arkansas Education Association, National Education Association and the Daughters of the American Revolution.

She marriage John W. Mc-Donald on Jan. 26, 1941, in Gentry.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. McDonald in 1967; a brother, Charles T. Ratcliff and a special friend, Hill Everett.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Jean Ann Moles and J. Louis Moles of Benton, Ark., Sue Ellen Montgomery and Ronald Montgomery of Siloam Springs; two granddaughters and grand sons-in-law, Whitney Allen and Dr. James Allen of Broken Arrow, Okla., and Casey Van Asche and Randy Van Asche of Siloam Springs; four great grandsons, Dalton Allen and Drake Allen of Broken Arrow; and Ransom Van Asche and Will Van Asche of Siloam Springs; two great granddaughters, Annabelle Van Asche of Siloam Springs and Riley Allen of Broken Arrow; a sister-in-law, Lela Myers of Siloam Springs; an aunt, Eva Barnett of Siloam Springs; two nephews, Marty Ratcliff and Rob Ratcliff; and two nieces, Tammy Bell and Kary Johnston. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 26 at the Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 27 at Wasson Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Leslie Elam. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Huntsville Cemetery.

Irene Marie Brackney

Irene Marie Brackney, 93, of Sulphur Springs, Ark., died Saturday, April 23, 2005, at the Gravette Medical Center in Gravette, Ark. She was born March 28, 1911, in Kansas City, Mo., to Louis K. and Dora May (Anines) Hebeler.

She was raised in Kansas City and graduated from high school there. In 1934 she marriage Marma Duke Brackney. Shortly after they were married, the couple moved to Sulphur Springs and raised a family. She was a licensed practical nurse and started her career at the former Noel Hospital in Noel, Mo. After the Noel Hospital closed, she went to work at the Cardwell Memorial Hospital in Stella, Mo.

For several years she worked at the Noel Clinic for Drs. Silas and Lillian Fountain. She retired with 52 years of service in the medical field. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Sulphur Springs. She was a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Gravette.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marma Duke Brackney in 1958; two sons, Kenneth Brackney and Lt. Col. Paul Brackney; two grandsons, Bruce Brackney and David Allen Brackney; a great great grandson, Casey Murray; and three brothers, Grant Hebeler, Walter Hebeler and Edward Hebeler.

Survivors include five grandchildren, Sue Foster of St. Louis, Mo., Sally Rosalles of Bossier City, La., June Murray, Donald Brackney and Douglas Brackney, all of Sulphur Springs; 15 great grandchildren, 15 great great grandchildren; two daughters-in-law, Martha Brackney of Bossier City and Grace Brackney Prelle of Sulphur Springs; two sisters-in-law, Velma Hebeler of Houston, Texas and Thess Hebeler of California; and a host of other family and friends.

Graveside funeral services will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, April 26, at the Butler Creek Cemetery near Sulphur Springs with the Rev. Ray Larkin.

Memorials can be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, P. O. Box 191, Sulphur Springs, AR 72768.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Ozark Funeral Home of Noel.

Harold Hultman

Harold Hultman, 87, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Sunday, April 3, 2005, at Northwest Medical Center of Washington County in Springdale, Ark. He was born Nov. 22, 1917, in Burt County, Neb., to Frank E. Hultman and Cynthia Borg Hultman.

He was educated in Lyons, Neb. He graduated with a bachelor of arts degree from Wayne (Neb.) State Teachers College in 1940. He marriage Virginia Cram on Aug. 23, 1940 in Blair, Neb. He taught school until entering the U.S. Navy in 1944, serving during World War II. He was discharged in 1946. He was superintendent of schools in Millard, Neb., until 1947. He went into securities sales and worked 41 years, retiring in 1988. He was manager of Piper-Jaffrey-Hopwood in Omaha, Neb.

He won the 2002 Alumni Achievement Award from Wayne State Teachers College. He was a charter member and president of the Lions Club in Millard, Neb. He was grand master of the Masons in Nebraska and was a 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge.

He moved to Bella Vista in 1988 from Omaha. He was a member of the Bella Vista Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and golf.

He is preceded in death by two brothers, Merle Hultman and Gail Hultman; and a sister, Fern Little.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia Hultman; two sons and daughters-in-law, Steven Hultman and Mary Anne Kuhr of Crescent, Iowa, and Todd Hultman and Sally Hultman of Omaha, Neb.; two daughters and a son-in-law, Janelle Hultman of Phoenix, Ariz., and Julie Goodley and Charles Goodley of Gilroy, Calif.; a sister and brother-in-law, Rae Loisel and John Loisel of Richardson, Texas; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Thursday, April 7, at the Bella Vista Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 7, at the Bella Vista Baptist Church with the Rev. Michael McCauley.

Burial will be Friday, April 8, at the Evergreen Cemetery in Omaha, Neb., with arrangements by Kahler-Dolce Funeral Home of Papillion, Neb.

Local arrangements are by the Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bella Vista Baptist Church, 50 E. Lancashire Blvd., Bella Vista AR 72714; to the Fly Tyers Club, in care of David Anderson, 10 Stirling Place, Bella Vista AR 72715; or to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Martha Schell

Martha Schell, 99, of Bentonville, Ark., died Tuesday, April 5, 2005, at Bentonville Manor Nursing Home. She was born July 27, 1905, in Jacket Mo., to Samuel Joshua Schell Sr. and Seanie Ellen Hall Schell.

She was 19 years old when her mother died one month after giving birth to twin girls. She remained at home to care for the babies, four other siblings and her father until his death. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Pea Ridge, Ark. She enjoyed gardening, fishing and crocheting.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Waldo Schell and Samuel J. Schell Jr.; and a sister, Nola Hall.

Survivors include two brothers, Orville Schell of Bellingham, Wash., and Vaun Schell of Bentonville; two sisters, Juanita Coffee and Bonita Harris, both of Bentonville; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 7, at the Church of Christ in Pea Ridge, Ark.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, April 8, at the Church of Christ with Wil Rhodes and Rod Rhodes.

Burial will be at the Antioch Cemetery, north of Pea Ridge.

Arrangements are by Sisco Funeral Home of Pea Ridge. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Antioch Cemetery, in care of Vaun Schell, 9635 Price Coffee Road, Bentonville, AR 72712.

Hubert Reginald Hart Jr.

Hubert Reginald Hart Jr., 50, of Bryan, Texas, formerly of Springdale, Ark., died Saturday, April 2, 2005, in Bryan from injuries received in an auto accident. He was born May 2, 1954, in Amarillo, Texas, to Hubert Reginald Hart Sr. and Martha Wynelle Adams Hart.

He traveled with his family and had lived in Amarillo; Tucumcari, N. M.; Springdale, Ark., and later in Bryan. He attended Caprock High School in Amarillo.

He was a welder and later specialized in air-conditioning and apartment-complex maintenance. He was a certified HVAC specialist.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Martha Hart and Hubert Hart Sr.

Survivors include a son, Reginald Scott Hart, serving in Iraq; a daughter, Chanda Hart of Indiana; two brothers, Nolen Darrell Hart of Garfield, Ark., and Kenneth Dean Hart of Bella Vista, Ark.; eight sisters, Charlotte Losey and Geneva Borum, both of Rogers, Ark., Connie Furgerson of Canyon, Texas, Marion Peralez, Cheryl Encina and Margaret Hart all of Amarillo, Texas, and Jeannie Eslinger and Linda Vaughn, both of Orange Grove, Texas; two uncles, Lawrence Adams of Sun City West, Ariz., and Alan Adams of Lawton, Okla.; and two aunts, Eloise Kizer of Hollis, Okla., and Ganola Adams of Bryan.

Graveside funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, April 8, at the Letitia Cemetery, east of Lawton, Okla., with Jim Antwine.

Arrangements are by Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the March of Dimes, Wichita Mountain Division, 1511 West Gore Blvd., Lawton, OK 73501. Centerton Tammy C. Morris Tammy C. Morris, 46, of Centerton, Ark., died Tuesday, April 5, 2005, at her home. She was born Sept. 13, 1958. Arrangements are pending with Stockdale Funeral Services of Rogers, Ark.

Steven Donald Gratiot

Steven Donald Gratiot, 45, of Decatur, Ark., died Thursday, March 31, 2005, at Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital in Siloam Springs, Ark. He was born Oct. 15, 1959, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Calvin Donald Gratiot and Gwendalyn Holmgren Gratiot.

He was a Persian Gulf War veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy Seals as a diver. He worked as a machinist for NASA Aerospace.

He marriage Stacie Danellee Scotten on July 8, 1996.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Rick Gratiot.

Survivors include his wife, Stacie Gratiot; a daughter, Kelsey Gratiot of Idaho Falls, Idaho; three stepsons, Robert Burham, Richard Burham and Ryan Burham all of Boise, Idaho; and two sisters and a brother-in-law, Sandy Harris and Robert Harris of Big Lake, Alaska, and Becky Bales of Idaho Falls. No services are planned at this time. Arrangements are by Wasson Funeral Home of Siloam Springs, Ark.

Mary P. Holland Welborn

Mary P. Holland Welborn, 86, of Farmington, Ark., died Saturday, April 2, 2005, in Rogers, Ark. She was born Dec. 2, 1918, in Fayetteville, Ark., to William Newton Holland and Helen Cox Holland.

She was a lifetime member of the Farmington Baptist Church. She retired from Campbell Soup after 25 years. She enjoyed music, reading and crocheting.

Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Thomas A. Welborn; a daughter, Nancy Shaver of Rogers, Ark.; a son and daughter-in-law, Sam Welborn and Kathy Welborn of Rogers; four grandchildren, Sammy Welborn of Rogers, Jennifer Welborn of Nashua, N. H., Brenda DeShields of Centerton, Ark., and Johnny Rush of Fayetteville, Ark.; and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 6, at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville, Ark., with the family receiving friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 7, at the Farmington Baptist Church with Pastor Preston Beeks. Burial will be at the Farmington Cemetery.
