Mildred ‘Midge’ Ruttan
Mildred "Midge" Ruttan, 82, of Bella Vista, Ark., formerly of Paradise, Calif., died Sunday, May 8, 2005. She was born June 25, 1922, in Bakersfield, Calif., to Ralph Agey and Harriett Agey.
She was a homemaker and a golfer, winning many golf championships in California and Oregon. She was a driving force behind the development of the championship-course Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club, host of five U.S. Golf Association championships.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Bill Ruttan; a son; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 14, at the Presbyterian Church of Bella Vista. A reception will follow. Memorials may be made to the Children’s Golf Course, 19825 River Road, Gladstone, Ore.; attention, Board of Directors.
Sandra Lynn Faulkenbury
Sandra Lynn Faulkenbury, 40, of Fayetteville, Ark., died Saturday, May 7, 2005, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. She was born Jan. 12, 1965, in Mastic Beach, N. Y. She was a massage therapist and volunteered with the Disabled American Veterans and the American Red Cross. Survivors include her husband, Duane Faulkenbury; a son, Donovan Thayer Faulkenbury of the home; her father, Lenney Frosinia; and a sister, Sharon Lanford of Rogers, Ark. A memorial service was held Tuesday, May 10, at the House of Worship in Springdale, Ark. Cremation arrangements are by Rollins Funeral Home of Rogers, Ark.
Luyen Thi Lott
Luyen Thi Lott, 53, of Gateway, Ark., died Monday, May 9, 2005, after suffering a massive stroke. She was born April 15, 1952, in what soon became the Republic of South Vietnam to Ban Nguyen and Le Thi Nguyen.
After graduating from Catholic school, she met her future husband, Mikel Lott, an American soldier. The couple were marriage on Sept. 23, 1972, in Siloam Springs, Ark. She was an active member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Rogers, Ark. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, cooking and doing seamstress work.
Survivors include her husband of nearly 33 years, Mikel Lott; three daughters, Serena Lott, Athene Lott and Renee Lott; four brothers, Minh Nguyen, Long Nguyen, Thanh Nguyen and Cong Nguyen; and four sisters, Lien Thuy Thi Nguyen, Nguyet Thu Thi Nguyen, Tuyet Anh Thi Nguyen and Van Thu Thi Nguyen. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 12, at the Callison-Lough Funeral Chapel of Rogers, Ark. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, May 13, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Rogers. Burial will be at the Springtown Cemetery in Springtown, Ark.
Dolores Ann Gibson
Dolores Ann Gibson, 68, of Rogers, Ark., died Sunday, May 8, 2005, at her home. She was born Feb. 20, 1937, in New York, N. Y., to John Hanly and Alice M. Fenton Hanly.
She worked as an assistant administrator for a nursing home and had worked at Green Country RV Park in Lowell. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Rogers and the Boat Club and the Elks Club in Rogers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, L. D. Gibson; a daughter, Katherine Marie Gibson; her stepfather, Olaf Lindstrom; and a stepsister, Sharon Lauva.
Survivors include two daughters, Donna Hall of Rogers and Jacqueline Lewis Baker of Blytheville, Ark.; her stepmother, Carolyn Hanly of Newton, N. C.; a brother, Richard Lindstrom of Long Beach, Calif.; a special friend, Bud Bottorff of Rogers; a niece, Colleen Pelossky; a nephew, John Lauva; and three grandchildren.
Memorial graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, at the National Cemetery in Fayetteville, Ark., with the Rev. Theo Okpara.

Betty H. Kelsey
Betty H. Kelsey, 77, of Rogers, Ark., died Monday, May 9, 2005, at a local nursing home. She was born Oct. 15, 1927.

Lola Irene Morse Meador
Lola Irene Morse Meador, 94, of Siloam Springs, Ark., died Monday, May 9, 2005, at Quail Ridge Living Center in West Siloam Springs, Okla. She was born April 13, 1911, in Shelbyville, Ill., to Ben Tull and Vada Niles Tull.
She was a homemaker and worked as a private duty nurse at Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Gentry, Ark.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ralph Morse, in 1984; and her second husband, Curtis Meador, in 1993.
Survivors include two daughters, Joan Misener of Siloam Springs and Loretta Chaffee of Redmond, Ore.; a stepson, Raymond Morse of El Paso, Texas; two brothers, Howard Tull and Robert Tull, both of Shelbyville, Ill.; a sister, Zelma Gairusso of Lompoc, Calif.; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, at Wasson Funeral Home of Siloam Springs.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 12, at the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Gentry, Ark., with Elder Orlin McLean and Pastor Ray House.
Burial will be at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Siloam Springs.
Sonia Lee Robbins
Sonia Lee Robbins, 63, of Bentonville, Ark., died Wednesday, June 8, 2005. She was born Dec. 14, 1941, in Rogers, Ark., to Theo Everett Robbins and Mamie Marie Doughitt Robbins.
She was a homemaker and a member of Radiant Life Church in Bentonville.
She is preceded in death by a brother, Everett "Tiny" Robbins.
Survivors include a sisterin-law Jeannie Robbins of Bentonville; two nieces, Donna Presnell and her husband Cris Presnell of Centerton, Ark., and Sharon Breedlove and her husband Jim Breedlove of Bentonville; a nephew, James Robbins and his wife Nicole Robbins of Gravette, Ark.; and six great-nieces and great-nephews, Joey, Josh, Chetley, Jesse, Breanna and Casey.

Harold L. Askew
Harold L. Askew, 100, of Bella Vista, Ark., formerly of Bentonville, Ark., died Monday, June 6, 2005, at Concordia Care Center in Bella Vista. He was born April 21, 1905, in Lincolnshire, England.
He moved with his family to Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, at the age of 6, then moved to California as a teenager. He spent much of his life in San Pedro, Calif., where he operated a building construction business until his retirement in 1989 at the age of 84. He moved to northwest Arkansas in 1989.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Josephine Askew, to whom he was marriage for more than 50 years. He marriage Viola Venters of Cave Springs, Ark., in June 1989, and she preceded him in death in March 2002.
He was a Christian Scientist and in later years attended the Abundant Life Church in Bella Vista. He was active in the Kiwanis Club, the Civitan Club and the Elks Club in California. He served on the board of The Salvation Army. He enjoyed horses; tennis; and the arts, especially opera, ballet and music.
Survivors include a daughter, Elizabeth Forbes of New Auburn, Wis.; two stepsons, Wally Venters of Bentonville, Ark., and Jerry Venters of Kansas City, Mo.; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, June 12, at the Abundant Life Ministries in Bentonville, Ark., with the Rev. Chuck Worth.

Elaine Britting
Elaine Britting, 67, of Rogers, Ark., died Wednesday, June 8, 2005, at her home. She was born May 19, 1938, in Buffalo, N. Y., to Gordon Robinson and Emeline Coney Robinson. She lived in Evans, N. Y., and graduated from Lakeshore Central High School in 1955. She marriage Donald Britting in 1955. She moved to Rogers in 1972 from Eden, N. Y. While living in New York, she worked as a payroll clerk and was a leader in the 4-H Saddle Horse Club. She was a graduate of the Power and Light Gospel School of Evangelism. She attended the First Assembly of God Church in Bentonville, Ark. She enjoyed painting, camping, leather craft and classical music.
Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Donald Britting; two sons, Daniel M. Britting of Charleston, Ark., and William L. Britting of Rogers; a sister, Gail K. Sargent of Ohio; her stepmother, Eugenia Robinson of Buffalo, N. Y.; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, June 10, at the First Assembly of God Church in Bentonville, Ark., with Pastor James Longmate.
Burial will be at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Rogers. Pallbearers will be Fred McBride, Dennis Cameron, Rob Kintz, Gary Zielke, Luke Waldrip and Bob Holyfield. Alternate pallbearers will be Debbie Guthrie, Gavan Johnson and Paul White. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Brawley and Dwight Sullinger. Henry F. Menke
Henry F. Menke, 86, of St. Louis, Mo., formerly of Rogers, Ark., died Tuesday, June 7, 2005.
He was a World War II veteran and a Pearl Harbor survivor.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Menke; a son and daughter-in-law, Richard Menke and Connie Menke; three daughters and sons-in-law, Madeline Weghorst and Ray Weghorst, Gretchen Anderson and Steve Anderson, and Kristin Dye and John Dye; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Marie Martin and Charles Martin, and Hannah McKay; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Gracie Lynn Smith
Gracie Lynn Smith, infant daughter of Bryan Ray Smith and Krystal Jean Hickson Smith of Sulphur Springs, Ark., was stillborn Monday, June 6, 2005, at Northwest Medical Center of Benton County in Bentonville, Ark.
Survivors include her parents; her maternal grandfather, Ron Hickson of Gravette, Ark.; her maternal grandmother, Karen Poynor and her husband Jason Poyner of Gentry, Ark.; and her paternal grandparents, Gayle and Raegean Smith of Sulphur Springs.
Private services were held Thursday, June 9, at the Falling Springs Cemetery near Decatur, Ark., with Pastor Richard Hart.
