December 2, 1906 in Brownington, MO. Preceded in death by husband Doss H. Beaver, parents George W. Swopes, II and Emma Ann King Swopes, five brothers; Bart, Vernon, Virgil, Vester, and Luther Swopes and four sisters; Wanda Brown, Grace Shoemaker, Clora Kercheval and Minnie Beaver.
Mabel was a charter member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Fayetteville, AR and was a member of the Order of The Eastern Star, although not active at the time of her death. She was retired from the Veterans Administration Hospital. She will be missed by many friends as well as numerous nieces and nephews, who were blessed by having her in their lives.
Visitation will be held Sunday, October 19, 2003 from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 20, 2003 at 10:30 AM in the Farmington Cemetery Pavilion with Rev. Pete Kimball officiating. Burial will follow in Farmington Cemetery.

Mr. Kevin K.C. Michl, 46 of West Fork, AR passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2003 in Fayetteville, AR. He was born November 24, 1956 in Sacramento, CA to Thomas George and LaRae A. (Kesler) Michl. He was a computer lab technician at the University of Arkansas Walton School of Business.
He is survived by his parents of Booneville, AR, wife Su S. Sedgman-Michl, and three sisters; Mary A. Michl of Chicago, IL, Nichole T. Michl of Manhatten, New York, Kim T. Dai of Fort Smith, AR.

Donald Dale Slaughter
Donald Dale Slaughter, 91, 0f Springdale, Arkansas, died Wednesday November 12, 2003 at his home.
He was born December 8, 1911 in Independence, Iowa the son of Charles and rose Slaughter.
Mr. Slaughter marriage Lois Sayles on October 28, 1939. They lived in Decorah, Iowa for twenty years where Dale was a manager of an independent oil company.
The couple moved to Fayetteville in 1959 and owned and operated the Motor Lodge Motel in Fayetteville. Dale worked as an accountant for Steele Canning Company and on retirement moved to Springdale.
Dale volunteered at the Bread of Life. He was an avid fisherman and hunter all of his life.
Survivors include his wife of sixty-four years Lois Slaughter of the home, two daughters, Marsha Allen of Broomfield, Colorado and Linda Dykes of Arlington, Texas, one son Bob Slaughter of Copan, Oklahoma. Six grandchildren, Major Mark Allen, USAF, Greg Allen of Aurora, Colorado, Kimberly Frydrychowicz of Gulf Breeze, Florida, Stacey Slaughter of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Melissa Slaughter of Dewey, Oklahoma and Alec Slaughter of Copan, Oklahoma.

Helen Corrine Baker
Our beloved wife and mother Helen Corrine Harris Baker departed this life in her home on November 14, 2003 of a Heart Disease at the age 76. She was born February 20, 1927 in Watts, Oklahoma the daughter of Elmer and Beulah Harris.
Helen taught school in a one-room schoolhouse in Mineral Springs for two years and one year at Mountain Home, Arkansas. Then she taught soldiers in Germany for two years. She was a cook at the Fayetteville Country Club for two years in 1970 to 1971, then at the Sigma Nu House for six years. She loved cooking, fishing and was devoted to her family.
She is survived by her husband, Waymon Baker of the home, two daughters, Nell Waydine Baker of Westville, Oklahoma, and Jerilyn Sue Baker of West Fork, Arkansas, ten grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren, a sister, Janelle Spencer of Arizona.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Gweuda Ann Varner, one sister, Nadine Whitehouse, two brothers, Adron Harris an Clint Harris.
Funeral services will be 12:00 PM, Tuesday, November 18, 2003 at the Unity Freewill Baptist Church near West Fork, with Rev. Randy Burris and Brian Bowerman officiating. Burial will follow at 2:00 PM at the Fayetteville National Cemetery.
Visitation will be 1:00 PM till 9:00 PM Monday, November 17, 2003, with the family-receiving friends from 6:00 PM till 8:00 PM.

Mrs. Patricia Hollingsworth Donohue, 52 year old beloved wife and mother passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2003 Washington Regional Medical Center. She was born October 17, 1951 in McCook, NE to John Robert and Barbara (Davis) Hollingsworth. She was employed in the marketing department for Procter & Gamble, and a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Fayetteville.
She is survived by her husband; Stephen Frank Donohue, three daughters; Katherine Elizabeth Donohue, Laura Elizabeth Donohue, Margaret Emily Donohue all of Fayetteville, Her mother Barbara Davis Hollingsworth of Fairfield, PA, three sisters; Jeanne Hollingsworth of Lincolnville, ME, Mary Hollingsworth of Redding, MA, Elizabeth Rigby of Norcross, GA, and one brother; Robert Hollingsworth of Fairfield, PA.

Lola B. Ramsey
Mrs. Lola B. Ramsey, 82 of Fayetteville, AR passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2003 in Fayetteville. She was born February 12, 1921 in Lewistown, MO to D.T. and Florence (Hetzler) Burford. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Iota, a national sorority for teachers; Phi Delta Kappa, a professional fraternity in education; and a Methodist.
Her husband Irvin L. Ramsey preceded her in death.
One sister; Ruby Conover of Oroville, CA, one son; Dale K Ramsey and his wife Therese Ramsey of Overland Park, KS, and two grandchildren; Lisa Diane and Tyler Joseph Ramsey both of Overland Park, KS survive her.

Avnish Patel, 17 of Springdale, AR passed away Thursday, November 27 in Fayetteville, AR. He was born May 7, 1986 in Bombay, India to Piyush R. and Lata P. (Manu) Patel. He was a senior at Fayetteville High School.
He is survived by his parents of Springdale, AR, two brothers; Nipul and Avkash Patel both of Springdale, AR, his paternal grandmother; Sitaben Patel of California, and his maternal grandparents; Mr. And Mrs. Manu K. Krushiker of Springdale, AR.

William David (Bill) Tuck
Mr. William David Tuck (Bill), 90 of Fayetteville, AR passed to eternal life Wednesday, November 26, 2003 in Fayetteville. He was born August 13, 1913 in Fayetteville, AR to Charles David and Mary Lucinda (Hutchinson) Tuck.
He retired after 43 years from Frisco Railroad where he was a switchman. He enjoyed coonhunting and the outdoors. He lived in the area all his life. He was a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his wives Mattie Davis Tuck and Martha Davis Cartwright Tuck, his daughter Betty Tuck Embrey Walden and son-in-law Roy Walden.
Survivors include two sons; Bill Tuck and wife Rosie of Fayetteville, AR, Charles Tuck and wife Beverly of Lincoln, AR, two brothers; Lee Tuck of Fayetteville, AR, Ike Tuck of Rogers, two sisters; Ruth Tunstill of Fayetteville, AR, Agnes Groharing of New Port Beach, CA, six grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.

Carol Schlund, 66, of Springdale, Arkansas died, Friday November 28, 2003 in Springdale. She was born December 14, 1936 in Harrisonville, Missouri, the daughter of Ralph and Viola VanScoy VanCamp. She was a homemaker and in Telephone Sales Service and formally of Harrisonville, Missouri.
She is survived by her husband; Albert G. Schlund Jr., of Springdale, Arkansas, two sons, Clifford Schlund of Huntsville, Arkansas, Allen Schlund of Tennessee, two daughters; Alecia Schlund of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Elaine Schlund of Tennessee, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, December 2, 2003, at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
