Agnes W. Moore, 87, of Avondale, Ariz., formerly of Rogers, Ark., died Saturday, Oct. 29, 2005, in Youngtown, Ariz. She was born Nov. 5, 1917, in Durham, N. C. Survivors include two sons, William James Moore and Sidney Porter Moore; a daughter, Mary Joyce Buchholz; a brother, Earl Adams; and two sisters, Frances Sullivan and Grace Beshears. Memorial graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, at the Benton County Memorial Park in Rogers, Ark., with the Rev. Jaimie Alexander. Arrangements are by Callison-Lough Funeral Home of Rogers.
Harold Emmert
Harold Emmert, 89, of Bentonville, Ark., died Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2005, in Rogers, Ark. He was born June 22, 1916, in Nunda, S. D., to A. A. Emmert and Rose Cortland Emmert.
He was a delivery driver. He had lived in Nevada, Mo., before moving to Bentonville. He helped distribute food for the Heartland Shares food program in Bentonville.
Survivors include a stepson, Terry Jellies of Brandon, S. D.; and his caretakers, Mary Ann Rinken, Bill and Sally Thomas, Deann Sisk, Gladys Morris and Janet Winkler, all of Bentonville.

Thomas Burle Lee
Thomas Burle Lee, 76, of Bentonville, Ark., died Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2005, in Bentonville. He was born Oct. 2, 1929, in Opsted, Minn., to Herbert H. Lee and Leone B. Hicks Lee.
He was the former owner of Lee’s Transfer and Storage Co. and Lee’s Excavation Co. He was a retired truck driver. He attended Gospel of Peace Tabernacle Church in Springdale, Ark. He enjoyed traveling, fishing and dancing.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sadie E. Lee, in 1997; a grandson, Ritchie Lee; a daughter-in-law, Melody Lee; and a sister, Betty Medlin.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Lee; four sons, Frank Lee of Gates, N. Y., Virgil Lee of Springdale, Ark., Gerald Lee of Hot Springs, Ark., and Ricky Lee of Lonsdale, Ark.; three daughters, Brenda Miller of Bixby, Okla., Carlan Pine of Elkins, Ark., and Patricia Luecht of Rogers, Ark.; four stepchildren, Edna Cook of St. Joseph, Mo., Donna Branham and Tammy Fletcher, both of Pea Ridge, Ark., and Sammie Branham of Goodman, Ark.; two brothers, Robert E. Lee and Donald Lee, both of Springdale; two sisters, Muriel Murrell of Springdale and Esther Parson of Bentonville; 20 grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3, at Memorial Funeral Home of Springdale, Ark.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 4, at Gospel of Peace Tabernacle Church in Springdale, Ark., with the Rev. Robert Ward.
Burial will be at the White Oak Cemetery in the Harmon community in Washington County, Ark.
Pallbearers will be Frank Lee, Gerald Lee, Ricky Lee, Virgil Lee, Tracy Bailey, Mike Bailey and Dusty Pine. Honorary pallbearers will be Kevin Bailey, Jacob Lee and Chris Lee.
Bobby R. Engelman
Bobby R. Engelman, 76, of Gentry, Ark., died Monday, Oct. 31, 2005, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Fayetteville, Ark. He was born Aug. 21, 1929, in Centerton, Ark., to Jake L. Engelman and Vira Shell Engelman. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Bentonville, Ark.
Laveta Igene Whitfield Garman
Laveta Igene Whitfield Garman, 81, of Marshall, Minn., formerly of Bentonville, Ark., died Monday, Oct. 31, 2005, at Prairie Home Hospice House in Marshall. She was born July 12, 1924, in Sawyer, Kan., to George Whitfield and Lula Mae McLaughlin Whitfield.
She grew up and graduated from school in Kansas. She then completed a two-year accounting degree. She marriage Arnold J. Garman on Sept. 4, 1949, in Barber County, Kan. The couple moved to California, where her husband completed his schooling and she worked at Kaiser Hospital. The family later moved to the suburbs of Chicago, then to Marshall, where they lived from 1969 to 1977. In Marshall, she worked as the kitchen supervisor at Weiner Memorial Hospital. The couple later moved to Clinton, Iowa, and Frederick, Okla. After retirement in 1987, they settled in Bentonville, where she lived until recently moving back to Marshall.
She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary in Bentonville, the Grace United Methodist Church Circle and the Red Hat Society. She was an avid reader and enjoyed playing cards, singing in the choir and bird watching.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Garman; a son, Bruce Garman; three brothers; and three sisters.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, David Garman and Nancy Garman of Corpus Christi, Texas, and James Garman and Suzanne Garman of Seymour, Conn.; a daughter and son-in-law, Gail DeSmet and Duane DeSmet of Lake Shetek, Minn., a sister and brother-in-law, Marlene Donaldson and Earl Donaldson of Russell, Kan.; eight grandchildren, Jamie DeSmet, Bethany Garman, Holly DeSmet, Katy Garman, Jason Garman, Colleen Garman, Wayne Garman and Alison Garman; a great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3, at Rehkamp–Horvath Funeral Home of Marshall.

James Allen Hutcheson, 77, of Bentonville, Ark., died Monday, Nov. 8, 2004, at his home. Arrangements are pending with Rollins Funeral Home of Rogers, Ark.
Nora Smalley Ewing
Nora Smalley Ewing, 81, of Berryville, Ark., died Saturday, Nov. 6, 2004, in Rogers, Ark. She was born Jan. 20, 1923, in Carr Lane, Mo., to John Daniel Smalley and Elzenna Angeline Scroggs Smalley.
She worked as a secretary for an insurance agency until her retirement. She marriage Gene Siefert, who preceded her in death. She later marriage George Ewing, who also preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by five brothers, Evertt Smalley, Clarence Smalley, Chester Smalley, Paul Smalley and Carter Smalley; and three sisters, Pearl, Clara Utt and Mabel Doss.
Survivors include a sister, Ruth Williams of Berryville; a brother, Jesse Smalley of Green Forest, Ark.; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Graveside funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9, at the Hale Cemetery in Oak Grove, Ark., with the Rev. Leslie Robinson.
Arrangements are by Nelson Funeral Service of Berryville.
He was preceded in death by his father, John V. Tedford.

Glenn V. Tedford
Glenn V. Tedford, 61, of Garfield, Ark., died Sunday, Nov. 7, 2004, at Northwest Medical Center of Benton County in Bentonville, Ark. He was born June 19, 1943, in Chickasha, Okla., to John V. Tedford and Viola Banks Tedford.
He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, gardening and Dewayne Tedford, both of Rogers; two sisters, Brenda Ullmann of Minden, Nev., and Fern Carter of Highfill, Ark.; and 17 grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9, at Rollins Funeral Home of Rogers, Ark. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10, at the Rollins Funeral Home Chapel. Charles Alton Hughes
Charles Alton Hughes, 62, of Rogers, Ark., died Sunday, Nov. 7, 2004, at his home. He was born March 4, 1942, in Green Forest, Ark., to Preston Hughes and Mary Hughes.
He graduated from Green Forest High School in 1962. He had lived in the area since 1963, moving from Green Forest. He was involved with the building of Beaver Dam in 1962. He retired from R. T. W. after 30 years of service. He attended the Prairie Creek Assembly of God. He was a life member of the National Rifle Association and a past president of the local Model A Club. He enjoyed cars, guns and sign collecting.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Hughes; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Helen Fultz of Tulsa, Okla., and Dorotha Cullen and John Cullen of Little Rock, Ark.; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9, at Rollins Funeral Home of Rogers.
Graveside funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10, at the Benton County Memorial Park Cemetery in Rogers with Bud Keith and Johnny Hardbarger.

Evelyn M. Landers
Evelyn M. Landers, 93, of Rogers, Ark., died Monday, Nov. 8, 2004, at Innisfree Nursing Center in Rogers. She was born Aug. 12, 1911, in Marinette, Wis., to Peter Stallman and Thelma Blankenburg Stallman.
She moved to Rogers in 1989 from Fairhope, Ala. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Rogers and the Friends of the Library in Rogers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Landers, in 1987.
Survivors include a daughter, Ann Williams of Bella Vista, Ark.; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10, at the First Presbyterian Church of Rogers with the Rev. Jerry Rice.
Cremation arrangements are by Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Bentonville, Ark.
