Michael Alan Tomlinson
Michael Alan Tomlinson, 49, of Bentonville, Ark., died Jan. 4, 2005, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Ark. He was born July 26, 1955, in Mankato, Minn., to Royal Neal Tomlinson and Jean Redburn Tomlinson.
He moved to the area 30 years ago and had been employed by Tyson Foods Inc. the past 18 years. He married Jamia Snow on June 21, 2001. He was an avid reader and enjoyed hockey and playing softball and golf.
He was preceded in death by his father, Royal Neal Tomlinson.
Survivors include his wife, Jamia Tomlinson; a son, Phillip Moss Tomlinson of Springdale, Ark.; a daughter, Anna Rae Tomlinson of Springdale; a stepson, Tyler Fields of Bentonville; two stepdaughters, Arin Brewer of West Fork, Ark., and Lacy Fields of Bentonville; his mother, Jean Tomlinson of Bella Vista, Ark.; a brother, Dennis Tomlinson of Prior Lake, Minn.; a sister, Pat Johnson of Cotton, Minn.; two grandchildren, Layton Mitchell Brewer and Corbin Ried Brewer, both of West Fork; and his first wife, Jann Tomlinson of Springdale.
Funeral services were held Jan. 6 at the Sisco Funeral Chapel with Pat Pickett and Doug Wickman.
Cremation arrangements are by the Sisco Funeral Chapel.
David Thad Bachelder
David Thad Bachelder, 70, of Bentonville, Ark., died May 11, 2005, at the Missouri Trap Association Gun Club. He was born Oct. 7, 1934 in Clinton, Iowa to Glenn Bachelder and Margie Dolak Bachelder.
He graduated from high school in Tooele, Utah. He married Jacquie Roudebush and they had three children. The couple was later divorced. He married Connie Wilson on July 18, 1966.
During most of his career, he lived in California. He was a plumbing superintendent for large construction corporations. Following his retirement the couple moved to Arkansas.
He was a member of the United Association of Plumbers and Pipefitters since 1951. He belonged to the Elks Club in Sonora, Calif. and the National Rifle Association. He was also the vice president of the Bella Vista Gun Club for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Connie Bachelder; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Michael Bachelder and Allison Bachelder of Belle Plaine, Iowa, and Jeff Bachelder of Des Moines, Iowa; a daughter and son-in-law, Cindy Fitzpatrick and Kevin Fitzpatrick of Churdan, Iowa; two brothers and sisters-in-law, James Bachelder and Shirley Bachelder of Brentwood, Calif., and Richard Bachelder and Barbara Bachelder of Iowa City, Iowa; and nine grandchildren.
Funeral services were held May 16 at United Methodist Church in West Concord with Rev. Mary Kitchell.
Burial was at Concord Cemetery in West Concord.
Memorials may be made to American Heart Association, United Methodist Church of West Concord, or donor's choice.
Harold Birchfield
Harold Birchfield, 42, of Bella Vista, Ark., died May 14, 2005. Funeral arrangements are pending and will be announced by Stockdale Funeral Services of Rogers.
Rosemary Catherine Christiansen
Rosemary Catherine Christiansen, 78, of Bella Vista, Ark., died May 12, 2005, at her home. She was born Dec. 13, 1926, in Chicago, Ill., to Thomas O'Connell and Mary Wright O'Connell.
She moved to Bella Vista in 1991 from Illinois. She was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by ten brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her husband, Ralph Louis Christiansen; a son and daughter-in-law, Steven M. Christiansen and Ginger Christiansen of Lombard, Ill.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon Bhaimia and Mahmood Bhaimia of Glen Ellyn, Ill., and Stacie Lange and Tom Lange of Sioux Falls, S.D.; four grandchildren, Shannon Clements, Cally Christiansen, Yusuf Bhaimia and Eric Bhaimia; and great-grandson, Zachary Clements.
A Mass of the Resurrection was held May 14 at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Bella Vista.
Arrangements were by the Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory of Bella Vista.

Bernice C. Donoghue
She had worked at Anchor Hocking Glass Co. and as a certified nursing assistant for Hospice of Harrison County (W.Va.) She was a Lutheran and attended Bella Vista Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her husband, Vincent J. Donoghue; a daughter and son-in-law, Kelli M. Hart and Jamie Hart of Bella Vista; a son and daughter-in-law, Matthew A. Davis and Jessica Davis of Clarksburg, W.Va.; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Verna Welch and the Rev. Cecil Welch of Hinton, W.Va., Ella Jean Saffle of Bridgeport, W.Va., and Pauline Ganoe of Clarksburg, W.Va.; a brother and sister-in-law, Paul Y. McElroy and Alicia McElroy of San Antonio, Texas; two grandsons, Luke Davis and Caden Davis of Clarksburg, W.Va.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held in Clarksburg, W.Va., with arrangements by Davis Funeral Home of Clarksburg.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Bella Vista Lutheran Church.
Local arrangements were by the Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory.

Mildred 'Midge' Ruttan
Mildred "Midge" Ruttan, 82, of Bella Vista, Ark., formerly of Paradise, Calif., died May 8, 2005. She was born June 25, 1922, in Bakersfield, Calif., to Ralph Agey and Harriett Agey.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Bill Ruttan; a son; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held May 14 at the Presbyterian Church of Bella Vista. A reception followed.

Enid Joan Holle
Enid Joan Holle, 77, of Bella Vista, Ark., died May 11, 2005, at Northwest Medical Center of Washington County in Springdale, Ark. She was born June 6, 1927, in Sioux Rapids, Iowa, to Louis F. Pingel and Jennie Pingel.
She was a graduate of Miss Wood's Kindergarten Academy in Minneapolis, Minn. She spent many years as a full-time and substitute teacher.
She and her husband retired to Bella Vista in 1985 from Bettendorf, Iowa. She was a member of the United Lutheran Church. She was a 60-year member of the P.E.O. with Chapter IC in Davenport, Iowa, and Chapter BY in Bella Vista.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, William Charles Holle Jr.; and a son, David Holle.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey C. Holle and Helen Holle of Ankeny, Iowa; two daughters and a son-in-law, Susan Bergthold of Midlothian, Va., and Nancy Ledvina and Joe Ledvina of LaCrosse, Wis.; a sister and brother-in-law, Catherine Sokol and George Sokol of Bella Vista; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held May 14 at the United Lutheran Church in Bella Vista with Pastor Fred Nelson.
Arrangements were by the Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory.
