Roy Hugh Mulford, 62, of Springdale, Ark., died Monday, Nov. 21, 2005, at his home. He was born Jan. 13, 1943, in Harrison, Ark., to Roy Jackson Mulford and Flora Obera Goff Mulford.
He was a retired truck driver and a mechanic. He enjoyed camping and fishing.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 26, at the Eastside Assembly of God in Bentonville, Ark., with Pastor Robert Ward. Burial was at the Bentonville Cemetery. Arrangements were by Rollins Funeral Home of Rogers, Ark.
Pallbearers were David Gilly, Jimmy Myers, Jimmy Richardson, Danny Joe Carter, Danny Carter and Joe Carter.
Bennie Ralph Ragland
Bennie Ralph Ragland, 74, of Bentonville, Ark., died Friday, Nov. 25, 2005, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rogers. He was born Jan. 2, 1931 in Leflore, Okla. to Luther Jefferson Ragland and Lucy Irene Webb Ragland.
He was marriage Oct. 17, 1953, at Seligman, Mo., to Mary Lou Browning. The couple resided at Ardmore, Okla., while he was a member of the U.S. Air Force. He served four years during the Korean conflict. After receiving a teaching degree from Southwest Missouri State University, the couple resided in New Haven, Mo. Beginning in 1956, he served as a teacher for four years and school superintendent for 27 years.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou Ragland; a son and daughter-in-law, Rickey Ragland and Betty Ragland of Shell Knob, Mo.; a brother, Jim Ragland of Rogers; four sisters, Melba Gardner of Rogers, Betty Wilbanks of Monett, Mo., Delores Young of Cassville, Mo., and Barbara Mooney of Seligman; and a grandson, Craig of Springdale, Ark.
Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 28, at the First Baptist Church in Bentonville with Pastor Phillip Smith. Burial was in the Seligman Cemetery in Seligman, Mo., with full military honors by the Bella Vista Honor Guard. Arrangements were under the direction of the Rollins Funeral Home.
Elsie Knittel Schatz
Elsie Knittel Schatz, 88, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Saturday, Oct. 29, 2005, in Bella Vista. She was born Dec. 4, 1916, in Berlin Township, Ohio, to George Knittel and Flossie Mae Abell Knittel.
She attended Berlin schools. She marriage Lawrence John Schatz on Sept. 1, 1934, in Berlin Heights, Ohio. She was a homemaker. After retiring with her husband in 1977, the couple moved to Florida for 10 years before returning to their home in Ohio.
The couple moved to Bella Vista in 2001. She was a member of Heritage Baptist Church in Bella Vista. She and her husband were active in starting new churches and ministering in the children's ministry. They taught Sunday school and vacation Bible school. While living in Florida, they taught in the sixth and seventh-grade Awana. She enjoyed playing Skip-Bo at the Village House in Bella Vista and crocheting.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Darryl J. Schatz and Alice Schatz, and Roger D. Schatz and Gaynelle Schatz, all of Amherst, Ohio, and the Rev. Dale E. Schatz and Gwen Schatz of Bella Vista; two daughters and sons-in-law, Ryllis J. Bores and Bob Bores of Norwalk, Ohio, and Rhoda G. Entwistle and Matt Entwistle of Berlin Heights, Ohio; a half brother, George Knittel; a half sister, June; 15 grandchildren, including Daniel Shewmaker and Dayle Shewmaker, both of Bentonville, Ark., Dawn Black and Steve Black, both of Branson, Mo., and Craig Schatz and Andrea Schatz, both of Rogers, Ark.; 24 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held Sunday, Dec. 4, at Heritage Baptist Church in Bella Vista with the Rev. Dale Schatz. Arrangements were by the Benton County Funeral Home of Rogers, Ark.

Margaret Elizabeth Condrey Singleton
Margaret Elizabeth Condrey Singleton, 87, of East Wenatchee, Wash., died Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2005, in Seattle, Wash. She was born June 24, 1918, in Springtown, Ark., to Thomas Hendrix Condrey and Nancy Parthenia Edwards Condrey.
She marriage Lindsey Singleton of Decatur, Ark., on July 8, 1939.
Survivors include a son, Carl Singleton of Olympia, Wash.; three daughters, Reba Sipe and Lavonne Zodrow, both of East Wenatchee, and Eva Vorderbrueggen of Lacrosse, Wash.; a niece, Dolores White of Rogers, Ark.; two nephews, Ron Condrey and Jack Condrey; 11 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 21, at the Eastmont Baptist Church in East Wenatchee. Burial was at the Wenatchee Cemetery. Arrangements were by Telford's Chapel of the Valley of East Wenatchee.
William 'Stan' Stanley Smith
William "Stan" Stanley Smith, 81, of Rogers, Ark., died Friday, Nov. 25, 2005, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rogers. He was born Jan. 24, 1924, in Rogers to Dorothy Bryant and J. Frank Smith.
He is preceded in death by a son, Scott P. Smith.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Lola "Marie" Smith, whom he marriage July 10, 1963 in Memphis, Tenn., of the home; a son, William Stanley "Stan" Jr. of Branson, Mo.; a daughter and son-in-law, Jeanay Price and Roger Price of Exeter, Mo.; a brother, J. Frank Smith Jr. of Rogers; three grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 28, at Stockdale Funeral Services in Rogers with the Rev. Ben Rowell. Internment will be at a later date at the Rogers Cemetery in Rogers.
Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren, Jasa Price, Patrick Price and Alex Smith.
Memorials may be sent to the First Baptist Church Building Fund in Rogers or the Tree of Life Clinic, formerly known as Poplar House, in Rogers.
Jane H. Gault
Jane H. Gault, 87, of Rogers, Ark., died Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2006, at Innisfree Nursing Center in Rogers. She was born May 5, 1918, in Wamsley, Ohio, to Alva Hampton and Laura Jones Hampton. She moved to the Rogers area in 1975 from Dallas, Texas, where she was a past president of the United Church Women of Houston, treasurer and migrantministry chairwoman of the United Church Women of Texas and national director of Women in Construction. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Rogers, where she was a board and session member. She was also a board member of the First Presbyterian Church Foundation and Meals on Wheels, treasurer of the Beaver Lake Literacy Council and a volunteer for the Red Cross and the Rogers Historical Museum. She enjoyed birding, reading, gardening and genealogy. She was preceded in death by her husband, James M. Gault. - Wednesday, January 18, 2006
Ella Mae Abercrombie
Ella Mae Abercrombie, 86, of Noel, Mo., died Monday, Jan. 2, 2006, at Freeman Hospital in Neosho, Mo. She was born Nov. 22, 1919, in Lincoln, Neb., to Gilliam Rogers and Lillie L. Trout Rogers. She moved to the Noel and Southwest City, Mo., area as a child. She marriage Walter William Abercrombie on Nov. 2, 1938. She was a homemaker and also worked for several years for Ralston Purina Foods in Noel, for Sibley Engineering in Sulphur Springs, Ark., and for Emerson Electric in Rogers, Ark. She was a member of the Patterson Heights Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting, baking, reading and bird watching. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Walter W. Abercrombie, on April 8, 1999; two brothers, Harvey Rogers and Jim Rogers; a sister, Nancy Grace; and three grandchildren, Jeremy Abercrombie, Gina Abercrombie and Daniel Abercrombie; Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry Abercrombie and Linda Abercrombie of Southwest City, Mo., and Roy Abercrombie and Jann Abercrombie
Thetta Adams
Thetta Adams, 89, of Pea Ridge, Ark., Dec. 26, 2005, at Innisfree Nursing Home in Rogers. She was born Dec. 26, 1916, in Brightwater, Ark., to Harry Lynch and Vista Elizabeth Cox Lynch. She was a lifelong area resident. She worked for Munsingwear in Rogers, Ark., for more than 20 years and was a cook for the Pea Ridge School District. She was a member of the Westside Baptist Church in Pea Ridge. She was preceded in death by four sisters, Virginia Hickman, Lorene Burroughs, Jewell Tiner and Faye Howell; two brothers, Wade Lynch and Joe Lynch; and her husband, Don Adams in 1990. Theresa Alcorn, 91, of Rogers, Ark., died Sunday, Dec. 18, 2005, at Beverly Health Care Center in Rogers. Michael Gerard Finnegan, 53, of Garfield, Ark., died Friday, Nov. 25, 2005, at his home. He was born Sept. 24, 1953, in Conway, Ark. He was a graduate of St. Joseph’s Catholic School in Conway. He worked as a caretaker with the Lifestyles Community in Fayetteville. He was also a wood craftsman and made walking canes. He enjoyed fishing and reading. John Lavern Adams, 55, of Rogers, Ark., died Monday, Nov. 21, 2005, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Ark. He was born Oct. 5, 1950, in Boulder, Colo., to John Carl Adams and Shirley Etter Adams. Susan D. Bender, 44, of Rogers, Ark., died Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2005, in Rogers. She was born April 29, 1961, in Bossier City, La., to Thomas J. Bennett Jr. and Peggy Binnion Bennett. She graduated from Jefferson High School in Jefferson, Texas, and had attended Northwest Arkansas Community College in Bentonville, Ark. She worked in the human resource department at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rogers. She was a member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Rogers. Survivors include a daughter, Jessica Bender of the home; a son, Joshua Bender of the home; her mother, Peggy Bennett of Springdale, Ark.; two sisters, Teresa Bennett and Debra Ballard, both of Springdale; a brother, Thomas Bennett of Springdale ; and two nephews, Jason Ballard and his wife Ashley Ballard of Nacogdoches, Texas, and Joshua Ballard of Springdale. James P. Nisbett, 90, of Rogers, Ark., died Wednesday, May 21, 2008, in Rogers. He was born April 3, 1918, to William W. Nisbett and Della Sharp Nisbett. He marriage Aileen MacFarland on Jan. 1, 1941. He retired from the U.S. Army after 30 years of service. Survivors include his wife, Aileen MacFarland Nisbett; two sons and daughters-in-law, James Edward Nisbett and Kimberly Nisbett of Lawton, Okla., and Lindel William Nisbett and Patricia Nisbett of Norman, Okla.; a daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn Arlene Forester and Sam Forester of Rogers; a brother and sister-in-law, Robert Nisbett and Olene Nisbett of Las Vegas, Nev.; 15 grandchildren, Eddie, Sharon, Randy, Michelle, Courtney, Michael, Heather, Gwen, Brian, Alicia, Victoria, Toby, Corey, Sean and Yolunda; seven great-grandchildren, Justin, Misty, Jordan, Blake, Delaney, Kelsey and Kinsley; and a great-great-grandson, Jake. James Lynwood Allen
James Lynwood Allen, 63, of Rogers, Ark., died Saturday, Sept. 29, 2007, in Rogers. He was born Feb. 20, 1944, in Gulf Port, Miss., to the late Owen and Agnes Allen. He was a Navy Veteran, serving in the Vietnam War. After retiring from California State University, Long Beach, Public Safety Department, he moved to northwest Arkansas. He was Catholic and enjoyed fishing. He was preceded in death by a sister, Frances Jarrett. Survivors include his wife, Mari Kay Allen, of the home; a daughter, Jordan Jean Allen of Twentynine Palms, Calif.; a son, Terral “Kenny” Allen of Rogers; six brothers, Harold Allen, Phillip Allen, Louis Allen, Gary Allen, Robert Allen and Ronald Allen; a sister, Mary Margaret Peterson; a aunt, Mary Annie “Manny” Hatem; and goddaughter, Tammy Finkes. Harold Leon Barr
Harold Leon Barr, 68, of Rogers, Ark., died Monday, July 13, 2009, at Mercy Medical Center in Rogers. He was born Sept. 7, 1940, in Kahoka, Mo., to Harold Eugene Barr and Wanetta Hobbs. He had lived in northwest Arkansas for more than 30 years.
James Revino Hufford
James Revino Hufford, 73, of Rogers, Ark., died Sunday, May 7, 2006, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rogers. He was born Sept. 11, 1932, in Kansas, Okla., to Harrison Hufford and May Thomas Hufford.
He marriage Faye Bigham on May 22, 1975. He worked for the cities of Bentonville and Rogers for many years and was a long-haul truck driver. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and raising and showing coon dogs.
He was preceded in death by a stepson, three sisters and two brothers.
Survivors include his wife, Faye Bigham Hufford; a son and daughter-in-law, Steve Hufford and Stephany Hufford of Centerton, Ark.; a daughter, Brenda Cash of Ada, Okla.; a stepdaughter, Karen Patton and her husband Wayne Patton of Pea Ridge, Ark.; a brother and sister-in-law, Georald Hufford and Esther Hufford of Bentonville, Ark.; a sister and brother-in-law, Stella Mae Henderson and Junior Henderson of Morrilton, Ark.; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 10, at the Rollins Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Self. Burial was at the Bentonville Cemetery in Bentonville, Ark. Arrangements were by Rollins Funeral Home of Rogers.
Pallbearers were Josh Patton, Kevin Severs, Scott Payne, John Smercich, Sandy Creech and Matt Hufford.
