Howard Lee Moore Sr.
Howard Lee Moore Sr., 77, of Lowell, Ark., died Sunday, May 21, 2006, at St. Mary’s.
He retired as plant engineer with Shipley’s Baking Co. in Fayetteville, Ark.
He was preceded in death by a brother, William Harold Moore. Survivors include his wife, Marietta Mae Sikes Moore; two sons and daughters-in-law, Donnie G. Moore and Gloria Moore of Rogers, Ark., and Howard L. Moore Jr. and Kelly Moore of Springdale, Ark.; a daughter and son-in-law, Carmen M. Smith and Mick Smith of Rogers; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 24, at Stockdale Funeral Home with Pastor Red Dixon. Burial was at the Zion Cemetery in Fayetteville, Ark. Arrangements were by Stockdale Funeral Home of Rogers, Ark. Kenneth Kirgan on Nov. 14, 1939. She was a homemaker and a florist at Rippers Florist in Pekin. She was a lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and the Bethlehem Society. She was also a member of the Bland Chapel United Methodist Church in Rogers.
Pallbearers were Mick Smith, Glenn Logan III, Chris Logan, Alan Moore, Christopher Smith and Gavin Collins.

Duane F. Bull Jr.
Duane F. Bull Jr., 76, of Claremore, Okla., formerly of Rogers, Ark., died Saturday, June 3, 2006, at the Claremore Veterans Center. He was born Jan. 31, 1930, in Wichita, Kan, to Duane F. Bull and Ruby Billingsly Bull.
As a young man, he moved with his family to Rogers, where he attended school and graduated in 1948. After graduation, he worked as a short-order cook and enlisted in the U.S. Army reserves. Shortly after joining the reserves, he was called to active duty to serve in the Korean War. He received the Good Conduct Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Service Medal with Bronze Star and the United Nations Service Medal. He was discharged on April 18, 1952, and returned to Rogers.
He marriage Jeanetta Holyfield on June 10, 1953, in Rogers. The couple moved to Chicago, where he attended technical school to repair televisions. They then returned to Rogers for a short time before moving to Claremore. He began working for Davis TV Repair, then bought the business a few years later. He later worked for Radio Inc., retiring after 19 years of service.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, the Disabled American Veterans, the World Bowling Association, the Northeast Oklahoma Anglers Association and the Claremore Pioneer Group. He enjoyed fishing, bird hunting, bowling and reading Western novels.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Bull.
Survivors include two daughters, Stephanie Bull Swinney of Springdale, Ark., and M. Rene Bull of Claremore; a son, John Dwyatt Bull of Lake Worth, Fla.; a granddaughter, Joanna Martin of Claremore; and a great-grandson, James Martin of Claremore.
A memorial service was held Tuesday, June 6, at the Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Chapel in Claremore. Graveside services were held at the Benton County Memorial Park in Rogers, Ark.

Joseph Gonzales
Joseph Gonzales, 74, of Rogers, Ark., died Monday, June 5, 2006, at his home. He was born Sept. 21, 1931, in Franklin, N. J., to Leo Gonzales and Susie Concoy Gonzales.
He worked for Ford Motor Co. for 26 years before moving to northwest Arkansas to work as a security guard for Tyson Foods.
He was preceded in death by a son, Joe Gonzales.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Gonzales; a daughter, Lori Brewer of Rogers; two brothers, Ed Gonzales of Hamburg, N. J., and Lawrence Gonzales of Maui, Hawaii; two sisters, Diane Cahill of Franklin, N. J., and Deloris Trussell of California; and two grandchildren.
Cremation arrangements were by Rollins Funeral Home of Rogers.
Richard Alan Mercer
Richard Alan Mercer, 36, of Lowell, Ark., died Saturday, June 3, 2006, at Summit Medical Center in Van Buren, Ark. He was born April 7, 1970, in Houston, Texas, to Sherrel Mercer and Cecelia Glass Mercer.
He was a controls designer for Delta Systems and a real-estate agent in Rogers, Ark. He was an honors graduate of Edna High School in Edna, Texas, in 1988. He earned an associate of arts degree from Florida College in 1991.
Survivors include his wife, Jennifer Searight Mercer; two daughters, Alexandria Lauren Mercer and Rebecca Katelyn Mercer; a son, Austin Michael Mercer; his parents, Sherrel Mercer and Cecelia Glass Mercer; his grandparents, T. S. Glass and his wife Audrey Glass of Vinton, Va., and Mrs. W. H. Mercer Sr. of Edna, Texas; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Elizabeth Mercer Thompson and Jason Thompson of Edna, and Laura Mercer Paulsel and Jason Paulsel of Peachtree City, Ga.
Funeral services were held Thursday, June 8, at the Rollins Funeral Chapel with Kevin Maxey. Burial was at the Red Hill Cemetery in Marshall, Ark. Arrangements were by the Rollins Funeral Chapel in Rogers, Ark.
Pallbearers were Jason Paulsel, Jeff Ling, Bud Terrell, Nathan Searight, James Frazier, Les Davis, Pat Mercer and Andy Marshall.

Bonnie Ruth Moore
Bonnie Ruth Moore, 58, of Anderson, Mo., died Tuesday, June 6, 2006, at St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Joplin, Mo., following a sudden illness. She was born Oct. 8, 1947, in Many, La., to Herbert Savil Laidlaw and Esther Ruth Erickson Laidlaw.
She marriage James E. Moore on Feb. 24, 1964, in Joaquin, Texas. The couple moved to Anderson seven years ago from Springdale, Ark. In her early years, she played keyboard and sang with her family’s gospel group for weddings, funerals and youth groups. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, puzzle books, cooking, baking and collecting family pictures and the new state quarters.
Survivors include her husband of 42 years, James E. Moore; five sons and three daughters-in-law, Joseph E. Moore, John David Moore, and James T. Moore and Tonia Moore, all of Anderson, Daniel Ray Moore and Teresa Moore of Springdale, Ark., and Mark Savil Moore and Marcella Moore of Lowell, Ark.; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Dan Laidlaw and Debbie Laidlaw of Brentwood, Tenn., and Tom Laidlaw of Baton Rouge, La.; and six grandchildren, Devyn, Skyler, Mitchell, Levi, Cheyenne and Naoma.
Graveside funeral services were held Friday, June 9, at the Tracy Cemetery, east of Anderson. Arrangements were by Walker-Dowd Funeral Home of Anderson.
Pallbearers were her sons and her eldest grandson.

Fay Albert Putman
Fay Albert Putman, 80, of Noel, Mo., died Saturday, June 3, 2006. He was born May 16, 1926, in Pea Ridge, Ark., to Albert Putman and Lela Putman.
He attended Pea Ridge High School and, at age 17, enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1943. As a sergeant, he fought in World War II from 1943 to 1945 and again in the Korean War from 1950 to 1953. He was seriously injured in battle and received two Purple Hearts and a variety of other combat medals. He served on the USS Independence (CVL-22).
He marriage Norma Jean Young on June 23, 1950, in Gravette, Ark. After serving in the military, he worked for the government as a guard at Camp Crowder near Neosho, Mo., and at a Neosho-based government cave warehouse. He then became a U.S. Department of Agriculture meat inspector. He worked in civil service for more than 30 years. He served on the Noel City Council for 15 years and was a member of the American Legion for more than 50 years. He enjoyed working puzzles and feeding the more than 100 hummingbirds that visited his home each summer.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Bobbie Putman, Joe Putman and Rex Putman.
Survivors include his wife, Norma Putman; a son and daughter-in-law, Jim Putman and Chris Putman of Bixby, Okla.; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerry Putman and Marie Putman of Little Flock, Ark., and Vance Putman and Marie Putman of Brentwood, Calif.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 7, at the Ozark Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Thomas Murphy. Burial with full military honors was held at the Noel Cemetery. Arrangements were by the Ozark Funeral Home Chapel in Noel.
Members of the American Legion Post in Sulphur Springs, Ark., served as pallbearers.

Donaciano Daniel Sisneros
Donaciano Daniel Sisneros, 40, of Rogers, Ark., died Monday, June 5, 2006, at his home. He was born July 5, 1965, in Santa Fe, N. M., to Jose Marcelino Sisneros and Clara Garcia Munoz.
He worked for Mosier Corp. and enjoyed helping others.
Survivors include his parents, Jose Marcelino Sisneros and Clara Garcia Munoz; a daughter, Toni Sisneros of Carlsbad, N. M.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Joe Sisneros and Barbara Sisneros of Rogers and Patrick Sisneros and Tammy Sisneros of Roswell, N. M.; and his grandparents, Eddie and Mella Garcia of Santa Fe, N. M.
Arrangements were by Rollins Funeral Home of Rogers.
George Lee Stair Jr.
George Lee Stair Jr., 64, of Rogers, Ark., died at home on June 8, 2006. He was born on July 21, 1941, in Springfield, Mo., to Lee and Kathryn (Looney) Stair.
He attended public schools in Rogers, graduating from Rogers High School in 1959, and then enjoyed four years at the College of the Ozarks from 1959 to 1963. He attended New Mexico Highlands University from 1963 to 1964 and received a master’s degree in history.
He began his teaching career at Lamar High School in Lamar, Mo., in 1964. He moved to Clarksville, Ark., and taught there from 1966 until 1970. He taught for 33 years in the Rogers school system, retiring in 2003 with Teacher of the Year honors. World History, American History and Frontier History were the main subjects he taught.
Survivors include a sister, Nancy Siversen and husband John; a brother, Joe Stair and wife Phyllis; two nephews, Luke Siversen and Thomas Stair; one niece, Heide Stair; and one great-niece, Rain Lily Siversen.
A memorial service was held Monday, June 12, at the Presbyterian Church of Rogers, with Rev. Darwin Wolfe officiating.

Devin Scott Whitcomb
Devin Scott Whitcomb, the infant son of Tina Marie Hall and Mitchell Lee Whitcomb of Rogers, was born and died Wednesday, June 7, 2006, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rogers.
Survivors include his parents; a brother, Dayten Lee Whitcomb of the home; his maternal grandparents, Ronnie Hall and Carol Hall of Rogers; and his paternal grandparents, Terry Limbocker and Anita Limbocker of Rogers.
Graveside funeral services were held Friday, June 9, in Babyland at the Rogers Cemetery. Arrangements were by the Benton County Funeral Home of Rogers.
