Margaret Ann Stangl
Margaret Ann Stangl, 65, of Carroll, Iowa, formerly of Bella Vista, Ark., died May 7, 2005, at the Orchard View Apartments in Carroll. She was born Jan. 3, 1940, in Carroll to John Becker and Theresa Loeffelholz Becker.
She spent her younger years in the Mount Carmel, Iowa, area, attended Our Lady of Mount Carmel Schools and graduated from Our Lady of Mount Carmel High School in 1957. She married Jack Stangl on Oct. 3, 1959, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. The couple lived in Carroll and Audubon, Iowa, until 1974, when they moved to Dedham, Iowa. They managed the Commercial Savings Bank and Stangl Insurance in Dedham until retiring in 1995.
They then lived in Papillion, Neb., a short time before moving to Bella Vista, Ark., in 1998. After the death of her husband, she moved back to Carroll in 2003. She was a member of the Holy Spirit Parish in Carroll. She enjoyed traveling, golfing and playing cards.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Stangl.
Survivors include four sons and daughters-in-law, Mark Stangl and Laura Stangl of Odebolt, Iowa, Jeff Stangl and Jane Stangl of Papillion, Neb., Scott Stangl and Theresa Stangl of Fort Calhoun, Neb., and Todd Stangl and Mona Stangl of Council Bluffs, Iowa; two daughters and sons-in-law, Cynthia Hummel and Thomas Hummel of Des Moines, Iowa, and Julia Harrill and Scott Harrill of Council Bluffs; a sister and brother-in-law, Irene Feilmeier and Alfred Feilmeier of Westside, Iowa; 23 grandchildren; a great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated May 11 at the Holy Spirit Church in Carroll with Father James McCormick and Carlene Dorpinghaus.
Gift bearers were her grandchildren, Jon Stangl, Amy Stangl, Margaret Hummel, Bryan Hummel, Haley Harrill and Mary Harrill.
Casket bearers were Chad Stangl, Chris Stangl, Mike Feilmeier, Jeff Feilmeier, Thomas Hummel and Scott Harrill.
Graveside rites were held May 11 at the Oak Hills Cemetery near Coon Rapids, Iowa.
Arrangements were by Sharp Funeral Home of Carroll.
Carrie Christine Bruce
Carrie Christine Bruce, 88, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Nov. 23, 2005 at Highland Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Bella Vista. She was born Aug. 18, 1917, in Hickman County, Ky., to Clarence E. Young and Floy Reinhardt Young.
A memorial service was held Dec. 4 at Heritage Baptist Church in Bella Vista with the Rev. Dale E. Schatz.
Arrangements were by the Benton County Funeral Home of Rogers, Ark.

Terry E. Davis
Terry E. Davis, 58, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Nov. 26, 2005. He was born Sept. 16, 1947, in Rexburg, Idaho, to Elmo Cheney Davis and Loa Bagley Davis.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in Vietnam in 1968 and 1969. He continued his service for 16 years, attaining the rank of E7 sergeant first class. After the service, he worked as a truck driver and fleet manager with J.B. Hunt for 18 years.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Loa Davis.
Survivors include his wife, Debra Davis; three daughters and a son-in-law, Dina Lester and Robert Lester of Bella Vista, Amy Reese of Centerton, Ark., and Kellie Davis of the home; his parents, Elmo C. Davis and Reta Davis of Idaho; a brother and sister-in-law, Brian Davis and Jolynn Davis of Idaho; and a granddaughter, Amelia Militello.
Graveside funeral services were held Nov. 30 at the National Cemetery in Fayetteville, Ark.
Memorials may be made to a cerebral palsy organization of the donor's choice.
Camille Duncan
Camille Duncan, 87, of Hiwasse, Ark., died Nov. 25, 2005 at Northwest Medical Center of Benton County in Bentonville, Ark. She was born Sept. 4, 1918, in Hiwasse to Roy P. Bates and Virgie Mae Cowgur Bates.
She was a lifelong resident of Hiwasse. She was active in community affairs and was an active member of the Hiwasse Christian Church.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, James R. Duncan and Lois Duncan of Gravette, Ark., and John B. Duncan and Virginia Duncan of Hiwasse; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Graveside funeral services were held Nov. 29 at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Hiwasse.
Arrangements were by the Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory of Bella Vista, Ark.
Henry 'Hank' Boyd Everhart
Henry "Hank" Boyd Everhart, 81, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Nov. 28, 2005 at Northwest Medical Center of Benton County in Bentonville, Ark. He was born Feb. 25, 1924, in Baltimore, Md., to Robert Lee Everhart and Phoebe Ritz Everhart.
He was raised and educated in Maryland. He served in the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II.
He married Dolores Maxwell on June 3, 1951 in Baltimore. They lived in Southern California and Houston, Texas, where he was employed by several Engineering Firms until retiring in 1993 as a Structural Engineer. Upon retirement they moved to Bella Vista.
He was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister.
Survivors include his wife, Dolores Everhart; and a son, Dwight Everhart of San Diego, Calif.
Ellen 'Jody' Joanne Hollingworth
Ellen "Jody" Joanne Hollingworth, 71, of Powell, Mo., died Nov. 30, 2005 at her home. She was born Oct. 24, 1934, in Portsmouth, Ohio, to Robert McCall and Beulah Diffen McCall.
She married Jack Hollingworth on June 6, 1957, in Oklahoma City, Okla. The couple moved to McDonald County, Mo., in 1970 from Kansas City, Mo. She received a bachelor of science degree in home economics from Oklahoma State University and a master's degree in elementary education from the University of Arkansas. She began her teaching career in 1956 in the Oklahoma School System, teaching in Dewey, Okla., and several other schools. She retired from the Rogers School District in 1995 after teaching 25 years. She co-developed the district's teacher mentoring program, which is still being implemented today. She was a member of several education associations and the Bella Vista First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening.
Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Jack Hollingworth; two daughters and sons-in-law, Stacy Vollet and Scott Vollet of Lexington, Ky., and Lisa Tillman and Paul Tillman of St. Louis, Mo.; a sister and brother-in-law, Mary Virginia Burns and Ron Burns of Springfield, Ill.; a sister-in-law, Faye Hubbard of Edmond, Okla.; eight grandchildren Hannah, Haley, Andrew, Alexis, Emma, Colin, Maggie and Madison; a cousin, Shirley Olsen of Laurel, Mont.; and several nieces and nephews.

Kathryn A. Nowlin
Kathryn A. Nowlin, 90, of Tahlequah, Okla., formerly of Bella Vista, Ark., died Nov. 30, 2005. She was born May 29, 1915, in Ann Arbor, Mich., to John Stuart and Ruth Ford Stuart.
She and her first husband, Carl Hallquist, retired to Bella Vista in 1975. He preceded her in death in 1981. She married Win Nowlin in 1984. The couple moved to Go-Ye-Village in Tahlequah in 1991. He preceded her in death in 1995.
She had worked as a library secretary at Northern Natural Gas in Omaha, Neb. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, was a Brownie troop leader, and taught Sunday school and Bible school. She enjoyed gardening and volunteering at church and at Go-Ye-Village.
She was also preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Roy Hallquist of Rockville, Md., and John Hallquist and Margaret Hallquist of Knoxville, Tenn.; a daughter and son-in-law, Linda Stouffer and Ted Stouffer of Omaha, Neb.; a sister, Helen Tracy of Denver, Colo.; a stepdaughter, Leahwanna Kile and her husband Bobby Kile; and a stepson, Winfred Rock and his wife Patricia Rock.
Funeral services were held Dec. 3 at the First Baptist Church Chapel in Tahlequah with the Rev. Ron Rice.
Burial was Dec. 5 at the Bentonville Cemetery in Bentonville, Ark.
Arrangements were by Green Country Funeral Home of Tahlequah.
