William B. ‘Bill’ Dunham

William B. "Bill" Dunham, 77, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Feb. 28, 2006. He was born Jan. 21, 1929, in Rogers, Ark., to William Clay Dunham and Harriett "Jessie" Sizemore Dunham.

He was the owner of Bill’s Salon. He was also a builder and carpenter. He served in the U.S. Navy. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed telling jokes, traveling to Las Vegas and playing gin rummy.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda Louise Dunham; a daughter, Mary Neal McKee of Tulsa, Okla.; four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Herman Dunham and Pat Dunham of Lakewood, Calif., George Dunham of Hemet, Calif., and Walter Dunham and Louise Dunham, and Robert Dunham and Kay Dunham, all of Rogers; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Mary Louise Chandler and Marie Eiselein, both of Rogers, and Lucy Ruth Powell and Bennett Powell of Mountain View, Ark.; two grandsons, Dwayne Neal of Tulsa, Okla., and Lance McKee of Rogers; and two great-grandchildren, Clarissa Mc-Kee and Jim McKee, both of Rogers.

Funeral services were held March 7.

Burial was at the Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, Okla.

Arrangements were by Johnson Funeral Home of Sperry.

Iris Jane Flenniken

Iris Jane Flenniken, 80, of Bella Vista, Ark., died March 6, 2006, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rogers, Ark. She was born Jan. 19, 1926, in Neligh, Neb., to Oswald L. Reinke and Stephanie Shavlik Reinke.

She moved to Bella Vista in October 1981 from Neligh. She was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church in Bella Vista, the St. Bernard Women’s Club and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Owen "Bob" Flenniken, on June 29, 2004; and a brother, Lyle Reinke, in August 1990.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Patrick Flenniken and Song Flenniken of Harrison, Ark.; a daughter and son-in-law, Kay Flenniken-Wagner and Rick Wagner of Rogers, Ark.; two brothers, Samuel Reinke of Kearney, Neb., and David Reinke of Neligh, Neb.; and two grandchildren, Kimberly Flenniken and Michael Flenniken both of Fayetteville, Ark. A Mass of the Resurrection was celebrated March 9 at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Bella Vista with Father Andrew Smith. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Bernard Catholic Church, 1 St. Bernard Lane, Bella Vista, AR 72715.

Michael Ray Hawkins

Michael Ray Hawkins, 51, of Rogers, Ark., died March 6, 2006, in Bella Vista, Ark. He was born Oct. 8, 1954. Arrangements are pending with Stockdale Funeral Services of Rogers.

Roger Lane Hutchinson Roger Lane Hutchinson, 74, of Bella Vista, Ark., died March 4, 2006, at his home. He was born Aug. 8, 1931, in Mount Pleasant, Iowa, to Howard Hayden Hutchinson and Helen Hobbs Hutchinson.

He was raised and educated in Iowa and attended North Iowa University in Cedar Falls. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1949 to 1953. He marriage Arline Stroope on Sept. 29, 1951, in Marion, Iowa. He was employed in the computer industry his entire working career, retiring in 1994 from United Technologies as management information system director. He was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Bella Vista. He volunteered at the Pea Ridge National Military Park and at Helping Hands in Bentonville, Ark.

Survivors include his wife, Arline Hutchinson; a son and daughter-in-law, Roger L. Hutchinson II and Cynthia Hutchinson of Memphis, Tenn.; a daughter and son-in-law, Debra King and J. B. King Jr. of Lawrence, Kan.; a brother and sister-in-law, Richard Neil Hutchinson and Mary Hutchinson of Louisville, Ky.; a sister, Janice Ream of Denver, Colo.; and two grandchildren, Alex King and Caitlin King.

A memorial service was held March 8 at the First United Methodist Church of Bella Vista, with the Rev. David Fleming and the Rev. Wayne Bartruff.

Arrangements were by the Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pea Ridge National Military Park; or to the First United Methodist Church, 20 Boyce Drive, Bella Vista, AR 72715.

Patricia ‘Patrice’ Leimkuhler

Patricia "Patrice" Leimkuhler, 66, of Bella Vista, Ark., died March 9, 2006, at her home. She was born Dec. 23, 1939, in England, Ark., to Woodrow Lawrence and Nina E. Murphy Lawrence. She moved from Olathe, Kan., to Bella Vista in 1984. She worked as a sales clerk at L. K. Petite’s in Bentonville for several years. She was a member of the United Lutheran Church in Bella Vista and a past member of the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed art and tap-dancing with the Highsteppers and the Sophisticated Ladies dance groups for several years.

Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Elmer D. Leimkuhler; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Michael Leimkuhler of Bella Vista and Scott Leimkuhler and Malisa Leimkuhler of Bentonville, Ark.; a brother, Bobby Lawrence of San Diego, Calif.; and a granddaughter, Danielle Marie Leimkuhler of Fort Worth, Texas.

Funeral services were held March 14 at the Bella Vista Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Richard Jebsen.

Graveside services were at the Bella Vista Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Hospice, 1001 W. Walnut St., Suite 3, Rogers, AR 72756. the Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory.

John Ernest Nelson John Ernest Nelson, 84, of Bella Vista, Ark., died March 7, 2006, at his home. He was born Sept. 21, 1921, in Moorhead, Minn., to Ernest Nelson and Esther Rosenthal Nelson.

He was raised and educated in Moorhead. He served in the U.S. Marines during World War II. He marriage June Hanson on Nov. 27, 1947, in Moorhead. He was a sales manager in the brick industry for more than 35 years. He retired in 1982 and moved to Bella Vista in 1983. He was an active member of the United Lutheran Church in Bella Vista and a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was an avid golfer and bowler.

Donald Hunt Schneckloth

Donald Hunt Schneckloth, 80, of Bella Vista, Ark., died March 6, 2006, at the Mc-Donald County Nursing Center in Anderson, Mo. He was born Sept. 11, 1925, in Correctionville, Iowa, to Ernest Peter Schneckloth and Phyllis Hunt Schneckloth. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and the Korean War. He moved to Bella Vista from Deerfield, Ill. He was a member of the Bella Vista Community Church, where he was active in Men in Action, served as an usher at funerals and was a Stephen Minister. He enjoyed golfing until he became blind. He had a Seeing-Eye dog, Elliot.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, June Nelson; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jay Hanson and Sue Hanson of Napa, Calif., and Jerald Nelson and Nancy Nelson of Coon Rapids, Minn.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Judith Sheldon and David Sheldon of Kennewick, Wash., and Jan Lundsted and Steven Lundsted of Hastings, Minn.; a sister, Helen Thompson of Moorhead, Minn.; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was held March 13 at the United Lutheran Church in Bella Vista with Pastor Fred Nelson.

Survivors include his wife, Helen Schneckloth; a son and daughter-in-law, Peter Schneckloth and Sherry Schneckloth of Salem, Wis.; three daughters and sons-in-law, Jeri Lee Butler and Bob Butler of Springfield, Ohio, Sue Ann Cordell and Bob Cordell of Pickerington, Ohio, and Cindy Mahan and Michael Mahan of Salem, Ohio; two sisters, Jo Ann Hallam of Livermore, Calif., and Pamela Johnson of Janesville, Iowa; and 10 grandchildren, Brandon J. Butler, Emily Dawn Butler, Kyle Butler, James Thomas Butler, Christy Lynn Schneckloth, Nicholas Anthony Meecum, Elizabeth May Cordell, Michael Robert Cordell, Sara Ann Mahan

Arrangements were by the Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory.

C. Wayne Robinson

C. Wayne Robinson, 89, of Bella Vista, Ark., died March 6, 2006, at Northwest Medical Center of Benton County in Bentonville, Ark. He was born April 15, 1916, in Lindsborg, Kan., to Ralph Henry Robinson and Esther Marie Palmquist Robinson. and Blake Hunt Mahan.

A memorial service was held March 13 at the Bella

He owned and operated Wayne’s Market in Lindsborg for more than 30 years. He was active in the Messiah Lutheran Church and choir and a member of the Public School Board, all in Lindsborg. He and his wife, Cathleen, retired to Bella Vista 20 years ago. He was a Mason and a member of the United Lutheran Church. He enjoyed music, golf, bowling and tennis.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Howard Robinson.

Survivors include his wife, Cathleen Robinson; two sons and daughters-in-law, Gary Robinson and Debbie Robinson of Phoenix, Ariz., and Larry Robinson and Barbara Robinson of Halifax, Mass.; two daughters, Judy Robinson of Sedona, Ariz., and Peggy Robinson of Marion, Kan.; a stepson, the Rev. Charles Riggs of Palm Desert, Calif.; a stepdaughter, Gwendolyn Nunes of Pompano Beach, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Lindsborg, Kan.

Arrangements were by Vista Community Church with the Rev. Richard Lindman.

Margaret ‘Margie’ Pearl Robertson Truesdell

Margaret "Margie" Pearl Robertson Truesdell, 62, of Bentonville, Ark., died March 5, 2006, at her home. She was born Aug. 18, 1943, in Noel, Mo., to James Joseph Robertson and Fern Marie Mattingly Robertson.

She was a certified nurse’s assistant for 31 years at Bentonville Manor.

She was a member of the Apostolic Bible Church in Bentonville.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Joseph Robertson, in 2001; and a brother, Leonard Henry

Survivors include her husband, James Emmitt Truesdell; a daughter, Margie Annette Comer of the home; her mother, Fern Marie Robertson of Hiwasse, Ark.; two brothers, James William Robertson of Hiwasse and Charles Patrick Robertson of Searcy, Ark.; three sisters, Shirley Ann Swafford of Centerton, Ark., Mary Lou Stephens of Hiwasse and Teresa Marie Francis of Gravette, Ark.; a grandson, Jayson Lynn Balk of the home; and a granddaughter, Kelli Ann Balk of Siloam Springs, Ark.

Graveside funeral services were held March 8 at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Hiwasse, Ark., with Herbie McDaniel.

Edward J. Anderson

Edward J. Anderson, 29, of Anderson, Mo., died March 14, 2006, in Neosho, Mo., following an accident. He was born Feb. 10, 1977, in Nurnberg, Germany.

He moved to the area in 1994 from Tacoma, Wash. He marriage Amanda Adams on June 16, 1996, in Goodman, Mo. He served in the U.S. Army. He worked as a forklift operator at Sunbeam in Neosho.

Survivors include his wife, Amanda Anderson; two sons, Brett Anderson and Branden Anderson, both of the home; his parents, Michael and Jean Anderson of Bella Vista, Ark.; and five brothers, Scott Anderson of Stella, Mo., Jeremy Anderson of Springfield, Mo., William Rieker of Joplin, Mo., Joshua Anderson of Eureka Springs, Ark., and Matthew Anderson of Pineville, Mo.

Funeral services were held March 16 at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with Ron Ray.

Burial was at the Jane Cemetery in Jane, Mo.

Pallbearers were Shannon Cupp, Thomas Taylor, Jason Overturf, Matt Anderson, Bill Reiker and Josh Anderson. Memorials may be made to the Edward J. Anderson memorial fund, in care of Clark Funeral Home of Neosho.

Betty Jane Curry

Betty Jane Curry, 82, of Amarillo, Texas, formerly of Bella Vista, Ark., died March 15, 2006. She was born Jan. 5, 1924, in El Dorado, Ark. She moved to Amarillo in 2000 from Bella Vista. She was a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Curry, in 1993; and a son, Steve Curry, in 1991. Survivors include two daughters, Ann Anderson of Amarillo and Phyllis Bright of Lubbock, Texas; two sons, Danny Curry of Amarillo and Joe Curry of Arizona; and two brothers, Claude Moore of Georgia and Dick Moore of Lufkin, Texas.

Funeral services were held March 18 at the Callison-Lough Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial was March 20 at the National Cemetery in Fayetteville, Ark.
