Sara Beth Payne
Sara Beth Payne, 66, of Jane, Mo., died Sunday, Feb. 1, 2009, at her home. She was born Feb. 21, 1942, in Noel, Mo., to Walter Shingleton and Edith Curran Shingleton.
She was a lifelong resident of McDonald County, Mo., and was a 1959 graduate of Noel (Mo.) High School. She marriage Julian Warren Payne on Nov. 28, 1960. She worked as a self-employed housekeeper. She was a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by a brother, William Shingleton; and a sister, Marlene McLaughlin.
Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Julian Warren Payne; two daughters, Jenny Guthary of Centerton, and Jeanie Payne of Texas; a son, Randy Payne of Jane; five sisters, Betty Wiley of Kansas City, Kan., Dorothy Griffith of Springfield, Ga., Carol Shipiro of Blue Springs, Mo., Mary Mink of Joplin, Mo., and Susie Barrett of Bella Vista; five grandchildren, Heidi Payne, Jesse Payne, Sabrina Guthary, Conan Guthary and Samantha Guthary; two great-grandchildren, Danica Guthary and Gage Guthary; and several nieces and nephews.
No formal services will be held at this time.

Ida Faye Smith
Ida Faye Smith, 73, of Rogers, died Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2009, at her home near Monte Ne. She was born Dec. 17, 1935, in Bear Creek, to Radus Drewry and Joy Firestone Drewry.
She was an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Smith; and a brother, Junior Drewry.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Paula McNeil and Dave Mc-Neil of Bella Vista; a brother, William Drewry of Bergman; four sisters: her twin, Ellen Swiderski of Marshall, Louise Dupont of Silver Hill, Joyce Scott of Batesville and Trudy Mc-Cutcheon of Harrison; and four grandchildren.
The Ritual of the Eastern Star was held Feb. 6.
Funeral services were Feb. 7, at Rollins Funeral Home.
Graveside services were Feb. 7, at the Bear Creek Cemetery in Marshall.
Albert Henry Bany
Albert Henry Bany, 88, passed away May 13, 2009 in Conroe, Texas. A memorial service was held for him May 16, 2009, at Hosanna Lutheran Church in Houston.
Albert was born May 30, 1920 to William and Clara Bany in Waverly, Iowa.
He was drafted into the Army in 1941 and served in the 32nd Infantry Division during World War II. He was awarded the Purple Heart for combat in New Guinea. He was later assigned to Australia, where he met and marriage Anne Dorothy Bahr in 1944. After returning to the states, they settled on a farm near Tripoli, Iowa. Albert also farmed in Minnesota.
In 1971 they moved to Bentonville, where Albert was a plumbing contractor, followed by 18 years as a plumbing inspector in Bella Vista.
Albert retired in 1999 and he and Anne moved to Houston in 2000.
Albert was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Kathryn Stoen, and his wife Anne (2003).
He is survived by sons James (Lois) Bany, Overland Park, Kan.; Stephen (Lynda) Bany, St. Paul, Minn.; Gregory (Mary) Bany, Conroe, Texas; daughter Mary Brandt (Michael Griesgraber), Las Vegas, Nev.; seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren; sisters Dorothy Larson, Rogers; Margueritte (Clark) Malcolmson, Center City, Minn.; and brother Paul (Karla) Bany, Coon Rapids, Minn.

Becky Sharron Brown
Becky Sharron Brown, 70, of Bentonville, died Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at Highlands Health Care in Bella Vista.
She was born on Sept. 14, 1938 in Taylorville, Ill., to Hollis R i c h a r d James Arthur and Gladys Bernice Cheney Arthur.
She was raised in Pomona, Calif., where she graduated from high school in 1956. Following graduation she became a wife, and mother of five.
She moved to the area in 1993 from California. She worked for Wal-Mart as a receptionist for the shoe department until her retirement in 2004.
She loved reading, sewing, and especially being with her grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Thomas Edward Hazen and one son, Kevin Allen Brown.
She is survived by two sons, David Duane Brown of Norco, Calif., Richard Glenn Brown of Riverside, Calif.; two daughters, Diane Reid and husband, Mike of Bella Vista, Lauretta Woolsey and husband, Randy of Boise, Idaho; one brother, Walter Hazen of Leesville, Texas; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Margaret Catherine Donohue
Margaret Catherine Donohue, 83, of Fayetteville, formerly of Bella Vista, died Thursday, May 14, 2009 in Texas. She was born Dec. 30, 1925 in Kansas City, Kan., to John Anthony Donohue, Sr. and Lucille (Matthew) Donohue.
She moved to Bella Vista in 1976 From Kansas City. She was a Charter Member of St. Bernard Catholic Church of Bella Vista, and later attended St. Raphaels Catholic Church of Springdale.
She was a member of Razorback Ramblers Travel Club and Holiday International Travel Club. She retired from Wal-Mart as a Paymaster.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, John, James, Joseph; and sister, Patricia.
She is survived by one sister, Mary Elizabeth Johnson of Johnson City, Fla.; and 10 nieces and nephews.
A mass of the resurrection was held May 22 at St. Raphaels Catholic Church, Springdale.
Burial was at the St. Vincent Cemetery in Rogers.

Milton Lee Birt
Milton Lee Birt, 64, of Wellington, Colo., formerly of Bella Vista, passed away on May 15, 2009. Milton was born on Nov. 25, 1944, in Lincoln, Ne., to Earl and Iona Birt.
On Aug. 20, 1965, he marriage Elaine Weber in Hallam, Nebraska.
Milton was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Elaine; son, Mike (Maggie) Birt of Wellington; 3 grandchildren; sister, Earlene (Ron) Huenink of Kersey, Colo., and nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held May 20 at Timnath, Colo., Presbyterian Church.

Eugene "Max" Sandusky
Eugene "Max" Sandusky, 87, formerly of Bella Vista, died Thursday, May, 14, 2009 at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, Mo.
He was born on April 12, 1922 in Caldwell County, Missouri to John Keelin Sandusky and Nettie Lena (Hurt) Sandusky.
He moved to Bella Vista on Jan. 2, 1990, from Raytown, Mo. In September 2008, he moved to Kansas City.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Doris Ruth Sandusky; two brothers, Kermit Ray Sandusky, Earl Gartside Sandusky; three sisters, Gayle Grogg, La Rue Reynolds, and La Fern Gerber.
He is survived by one son, Kenneth David Sandusky (Jan) of Springfield, Ore.; one daughter, Dayle Jean Sandusky of Kansas City, Mo.; one brother, Kenneth Lewy of St. Joseph, Mo.; five grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at Gashland United Methodist Church, 7715 N. Oak Trafficway, Kansas City, Mo.
