Stephen Leroy Dunn

Stephen Leroy Dunn, age 70, of Bentonville died Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at Mercy Medical Center located in Rogers. He was born April 15, 1950 in Madera, California the son of George Alton and Vesta Lee Dunn.
He worked with Walmart for over 10 years as a mechanic in the TLE. He loved fishing, hunting, and spending quality time with his family, especially time with his grandchildren.
Stephen moved to Northwest Arkansas over 27 years ago from Washington State. He was a member of Cross Church located in Rogers.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, several siblings, and one son; Stephen Dunn.
Stephen is survived by: his wife of 49 years, Vickie Dunn, whom he married January 12, 1971, two daughters; Crystal Brower and her husband Charles, of Ozark, Missouri, Daffney Ann Dunn, of Bentonville, one brother; Gary Luman, of Colorado, nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Stephen’s life will be announced at a later date by the family.

Susan Lynn (Shepherd) Troup
August 1, 1947 until June 15, 2020
Susan Lynn (Shepherd) Troup, 72, of Rogers, unexpectedly passed away on Monday, June 15, 2020 at Mercy Hospital in Rogers. She was born on August 1, 1947 in Ft. Smith, the daughter of Wanda and Ray Shepherd.
Susan is survived by her husband of 54 years, Malcolm Brian Troup, son, Marcus Troup, daughter, Merissa Spicer (Lonnie), grandchildren, Christian Carpenter, Malcolm (Rachel) Carpenter, Cassidy Troup, Erin Troup and one great grandson, Malcolm Robert Carpenter. She is also survived by two sisters, Janie (Mike) Weber and Dana (Gary) Vickery and four nephews and one niece.
Susan graduated from Ft. Smith Northside High School in 1965. She worked for Bell Telephone as an operator when she met Lt. Troup cruising Beverly’s Drive Inn. After a whirlwind courtship, they were married on July 1, 1966. She enjoyed five years as an army wife, traveling to Korea and living on five posts. She loved the army life with the broad horizons it promised, but was disappointed when Brian was wounded during combat in Viet Nam and medically retired in 1975 at Ft. Carson, Colorado.
Susan enjoyed spending time with her family to include her ever-present dogs and anything to do with a boat on water, especially cruising. She and Brian had accrued over 500 days exploring the world together on Holland America Lines.
Her professional career began as a volunteer dental assistant at Ft. Stewart, GA. She utilized that proficiency in future jobs in many dental practices in Colorado Springs and Northwest Arkansas, including the VA hospital in Fayetteville. Her 28 year career at the VA advanced, culminating in a position as Administrative Officer of the Day (AOD), retiring in 2015.
In her newly found free time, she participated in yoga and spent time with her family & friends in and around their home on Beaver Lake. She was the life of the party and could make an ordinary evening a festive gala. Friends and family around the globe have expressed condolences at her loss.

Bernie Nepps
June 23, 1949 until June 13, 2020
Horace Bernard “Bernie” Nepps Jr., age 70, of Rogers, Arkansas died Saturday, June 13, 2020 in his wife’s loving embrace. He was born June 23, 1949 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania the son of Elizabeth Pease and Horace Bernard Nepps Sr.
He served in the US Navy, during the Vietnam Conflict, serving on the USS Hancock, as a Munitions Specialist. Also while serving he flew in the back seat in the “Phantom.” He was a member of the VFW.
Bernie was a master carpenter, loved fishing, great fisher, not a great catcher. He was a member of Bass Masters. He enjoyed sailboat racing, parachuting, and diving. He loved to laugh and tell awful jokes. He loved waggl’n his butt at his wife.
He enjoyed playing billiards, and he was a member of the American Billiards Association. He was preceded in death by: his parents, and two sisters.
Bernie is survived by: his wife; Kathleen Nepps, son; Chad Riley, daughter; Maril Riley, four grandchildren; Kevin Riley, Austin Miller, Neyland Miller, and Elijah Henry, and three people that meant so much to him; Bill Warner, Sue Warner Barcalow, and Dave Hogge.
Inurnment will be announced by the family at a later date, and take place at National Cemetery located in Fayetteville.
Hue Van Khuu
November 1, 1933 until June 11, 2020
Hue Van Khuu, age 86, of Fort Smith died Thursday, June 11, 2020 at Washington Regional Medical Center located in Fayetteville. He was born November 1, 1933 in Vietnam the son of Sau Thi Vo and Tieng Van Khuu.
He enjoyed going back to Vietnam to visit his family and friends. He moved to Fort Smith on November 1979. He was preceded in death by: Parents and three brothers.
He is survived by: Younger sister in CT (Nhi Thi Khuu), younger brother in PA (Mai Van Khuu), three sons (Tam Khuu, Nhut Khuu, Duc Khuu), daughter in-law (Phung Ngo), adopted daughter; (Thiem") and her husband (Corbin) and their three children; (Shawn, Savannah, and Sophia) four grandchildren (Na Khuu, Long Khuu, Cam Khuu, and Uyen Khuu), grandson-in-law (Pavith Lovan), granddaughter-in-law (Khanhny Patoumma), three great grandchildren (Alayna Lovan, Isla Lovan, and Oliver Khuu), 14 nephews, and 10 nieces.

James "JJ" David Glenn Jr.
November 18, 2000 until June 11, 2020
James “JJ” David Glenn Jr., 19, of Harrison died Thursday, June 11, 2020 at Washington Regional Hospital. He was born on November 18, 2000 the son of Laura Morris in Monticello, Arkansas.
He enjoyed fishing, mud riding, music, working on old cars and trucks. JJ loved light-hearted fun with his friends and family. JJ considered many that were close to him as family even if they weren’t.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Glenn.
JJ is survived by his mother, Laura Morris and step-father, Cory Morris; sister, Courtney; girlfriend, Julia; best friends, Stephen and Alex, and a host of friends and family.
A celebration of JJ’s life will be held at a later date at his home.
Paul D. Smith
May 12, 1948 until June 9, 2020
Paul D. Smith, 72, of West Fork, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 in Fayetteville.
He was born May 12, 1948 in Winamac, Indiana to Orville and Maxine Hamilton Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers; Raymond, Charles, Roy, two sisters; Hazel Butterbaugh, Ellen Van Alstine, and his wife of forty-one years; Adrene Zeeveld Smith.
He is survived by one son: Gordon (Amy) Smith of West Fork, two daughters: Cris Romine of Orlando, Florida, Kathleen (Eugene) Kovach of West Fork and a brother; Ricki D. Smith of Farmington, Arkansas, grandchildren; Amber Browne Kawaf and Belal Kawaf of Kissimmee, Florida, Allen Romine of Kissimmee, Florida, Jacob Smith of West Fork and Matthew (Janalee) Canfield of West Fork, and his beloved dog Itsy.
He was a truck driver and mechanic. He was a past member of NWADA dart league and a life member of Ozark Flyers.
Thanks to Regency Hospital, Willard Walker Hospice Home and WRMC in home hospice.

Sandra Sue Scott
September 9, 1949 until June 7, 2020
Sandra Sue Scott, 70, of Siloam Springs, AR passed away June 7, 2020 in Springdale. She was born September 9, 1949 in Eunice, NM to Chief Phillips and Violet Reeves Phillips.
Sandra had lived in Northwest Arkansas for over 20 years after moving from Oklahoma. She enjoyed going to the casino to play poker, but most of all, she loved her grandchildren.
Sandra was preceded in death by her husband, Ace Scott; her parents; two brothers: Ronnie and Gary Phillips; and one granddaughter, Jessica Blackmon.
Survivors include her three children: Vicky Morris and husband Jackie of Siloam Springs, AR, Twyla Stanley of Watts, OK, and Jason Stanley and fiancée Tonya Fox of Rogers; three brothers: Tuffy Phillips and wife LoWanda of Watts, OK, Tooter Phillips of Tahlequah, OK, and Corbett Phillips and wife Sheila of Rogers; two sisters: Tricia Haddock and husband Rod of Verdigris, OK and Missy Sisco and husband Greg of Watts, OK; four grandchildren: Whitney Morris, Matthew Morris, Philip Stanley, and Taylor Stanley; and ten great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be Saturday, June 13 at 3pm at Phillips Cemetery in Westville, OK.
