Ruth Janet Dawson
April 7, 1942 until October 14, 2020

Ruth Janet Dawson, age 78, of Pea Ridge died Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at her residence. She was born April 7, 1942 in Michigan the daughter of Rudolph Ducel.

She was a cashier for Wal-Mart at Store #1 for over 20 years. For fun she enjoyed fishing, gardening, and sewing. She moved in 1984 from California to Northwest Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, her husband; Joe Dawson and the father of her children; Mervin Stead.

Survivors include: three sons; Harvey Stead, John Stead, Larry Stead, one daughter; Nancy Stead, one brother; Rudy Ducel, and three grandchildren.

A graveside service will be announced by the family and located at VA National Cemetery located in Fayetteville.

Donald Melvin Mowrey
August 9, 1921 until October 14, 2020

Donald Melvin Mowrey, age 99, of Bentonville died Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at Circle of Life Hospice House located in Bentonville. He was born the son of Ruth Sheridan and Fred Mowrey on August 9, 1921 in Warrensburg, Missouri.

He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He worked with the Missouri Pacific Railroad for over 30 years, as a Switchman.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, his youngest son; Daniel Mowrey, and the mother of his children; Peggy Mowrey.

Donald is survived by: one son; Mike Mowrey, and his wife Janie, of Rogers, four grandchildren; Carissa Bellflowers, Amanda Belt, Caleb Mowrey, and Stephen Mowrey, and many great-grandchildren.

No services are planned at this time.

Ismael Ramirez Gonzalez
November 29, 1947 until October 13, 2020

Ismael Ramirez Gonzalez, 72, of Bentonville passed away October 13 at Northwest Medical Center. He was born November 29, 1947 in Cuquio, Mexico to Jose and Elvira Gonzalez.

Ismael had lived in Northwest Arkansas for over 32 years after moving from Oklahoma. He worked for many years in the poultry industry. He enjoyed going dancing, spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and drinking coffee on his front porch.

Ismael was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and one sister.

Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Jacqueline of Bentonville; three children: Eustolia, Jaime, and Ricardo Gonzalez, all of Fort Worth, Texas; four brothers: Isaac, Florantino, Pedro, and Esteban Gonzalez; one sister, Chavela Gonzalez; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Rhonda Hook
June 14, 1948 until October 6, 2020

Rhonda Hook, age 72, of Gravette died Tuesday, October 6, 2020 in Gravette. She was born June 14, 1948 in Gravette the daughter of Lena Porter and Lester Clell Smith.

She was a lifetime resident of Gravette. She loved spending quality time with her family, and especially time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, and her infant granddaughter; Brayleigh Nicole Hook.

Rhonda is survived by: her husband of 55 years; Gary Hook, whom she married August 26, 1965, one son; Michael Harrison Hook and his wife Laura, of Cassville, Missouri, two daughters; Barbara Jean Hook, of Atlanta, Georgia, Terri Ann Hook, of Gravette, one brother; Johnny Dean Smith, of Florida, three sisters; Connie Edminsten, of Gravette, Francis Jean Hendricks, of Gravette, Joy Turner and her husband Bill, of Siloam Springs, six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday from 1-2pm at The Church on the Hill located in Gravette. Funeral service will begin Saturday at 2pm with Pastor Jim Starr officiating. Interment will be at Lee Cemetery located in Gravette. Pallbearers will be her loving grandchildren.

Verna Mae Foresee
May 21, 1947 until October 3, 2020

Verna Mae Foresee, 73, of Lowell died October 3rd at a skilled nursing facility. She was born May 21, 1947 in Lowell, Arkansas the daughter of Marvin and Anna Foresee.

Verna was up early everyday taking care of her dog Skippy. He was her pride and joy. Then she was ready to walk to the Lowell Senior Center. She truly enjoyed getting to see her friends and visit, have a meal or play bingo. She loved volunteering there and at the Lowell Historical Museum. She always greeted you with a big smile. She could be seen walking all over town. She would visit with the Lowell Fire Department, City Hall and Mayor’s Office often. Then maybe the post office, bank, doctor’s office, pharmacy and even DQ. Verna was even Crowned 2014 Mudtown Queen of Lowell. Verna always kept herself busy, making friends along the way.

Verna attended the Trinity Apostolic Faith Church of Cave Springs, AR where she was active with the choir, women’s retreat and bible study. A great part of the church family, she will be greatly missed.

Verna was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

She is survived by sisters, Sandra (Jimmy) Brown, and Ivon Clardy and many loving friends and relatives.

Visitation will be 10am on Wednesday, October 7th at Trinity Apostolic Faith Church located in Cave Springs. Funeral will be at 11am on Wednesday, October 7th at Trinity Apostolic Faith Church located in Cave Springs with burial to follow at Benton County Memorial Park Cemetery in Rogers.

Bert Gerald Johnson
April 4, 1967 until September 29, 2020

Bert Gerald Johnson, 53, of Gravette passed away September 29 in Springdale. He was born April 4, 1967 in Rogers to Bert Hugo Johnson and Geraldine Gan Johnson.

Bert was a lifelong resident of Northwest Arkansas, where he worked as a construction manager. He enjoyed hunting with his grandfather, camping, fishing, grilling and riding his motorcycle.

Bert was preceded in death by his parents, sister Bonnie, sister Elaine, and brother Doug.

Survivors include his daughter, Emily; stepsons Harley and Matthew, his companion, Mary Perkins, sister Chris, sister Terry, and several neices, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be held October 10 at Little Flock Cemetery at 10am, followed by a celebration of life at his home in Gravette.

Iven Dale Russell
April 7, 1978 until September 20, 2020

Iven Dale Russell, 42, of Rogers passed away September 20 at a skilled care facility in Bentonville. He was born April 7, 1978 in Fayetteville to Troy and Joyce (Stevens) Russell.

Iven was a lifelong resident of Northwest Arkansas except for the two months that he moved to Kerrville, Texas to live with Willow until he missed his family too much and the two of them moved back to Northwest Arkansas. He worked as a computer technician. He was a member of the House of God Church in Rogers. Iven enjoyed watching; WWE Wrestling, the NFL especially the Indianapolis Colts, and the Arkansas Razorbacks Football. He also loved music and singing; and was a fan of Elvis Presley. When not watching sports or listening to Elvis, he enjoyed sightseeing and shows in Branson with his family.

Iven was preceded in death by his grandparents; his parents; in-laws, Bert and Bonnie Sayre; brother-in-law, Dale Cannady; and uncles: John Lee, Harvey, and LeRoy Stevens.

Survivors include his wife of six years and his high school sweetheart, S.K. Willow Sayre Russell of Rogers; step-sons Christian and Jayden Russell of the home; daughter Zoe McDaniel of the home; brothers: Troy Wayne Russell of Rogers, Kelly Russell of Lowell, Daniel Russell (Rabecka) of Lowell; sister, Joyce Asher (Gary) of Lowell; brother-in-law, Zachary Espinosa (Mataya) of Rogers; sisters-in-laws: Janette Bryant of Missouri, Amber McDaniel of Rogers, Ashley James (Frank) of Bella Vista; Aimee Hussien (Alaa) of Pea Ridge, Allison Huddleston of the home; cousin-in-law, Carrie Ballentine of the home; niece: Amanda Russell of the home, his ex-wife; Melissa Starr, of Fayetteville; foster-mothers-in-laws: Pamela Espinosa and Cassey Compton of Rogers; and nieces and nephews; Kristan Hann (Max), Sarah Russell (Jake), Chris Russell, Shane Russell, Andrew Russell, Eve Russell, Elijah Russell, Cheyenne Russell, Skylar Evans, Ruby Rhodes, Victoria Dacanay, Dezi Rhodes, John Asher, Shannon Rossiter, Kimberly Asher, Kaylee Asher, Zechariah Rossiter, Bradley Morales, Nualla Lescult, Mark Alan Lescult Jr., Mark Lescult, Emilee Rusher, Brittney Russell, Markus Russell, Gage Bryant, Christina Netherton (Chris), Millie Netherton, Jonah McDaniel, Elizabeth James, Cassidy James, Abigail James, Farrah Hussien, Adam Hussien, Silas Huddleston, of the home, aunts and uncles; Margaret Acuff (Bill), JoAnn Hall, Marcia Stevens, Gene Stevens (Dora), and many extended family members and friends.

A graveside service will be Tuesday, September 22 at 11am at Forrest Park Cemetery in Springdale. A celebration of Iven’s life will follow at House of God Church in Rogers.

Pallbearers: Shane Russell, Daniel Russell, Jason Qualls, Kelly Asher, Zach Espinosa, and Frank James.
