Linda Kelly
Linda Kelly, 56, of Bella Vista, died Friday, Nov. 26, 2004, at the Highlands Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Bella Vista. She was born Nov. 8, 1948, in Omaha, Neb., to Richard "Dick" Henry Michel and Marian Elaine Baker Michel.
She worked for many years as an assistant manager for Westin Hotels. She moved to Bella Vista in 1991 from Council Bluffs, Iowa., and worked with Arvest Bank and Arkansas National Bank. She enjoyed working in her yard and helping animals.
Survivors include her son, Marty O'Meara and his wife Cami of Le Center, Minn.; her daughter, Carrie Yingst and her husband Dean of Bella Vista; five grandchildren; her parents, of Bella Vista; and her sister Kathleen Kay Swanson and her husband Kim of Omaha, Neb.
A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 29, 2004, at the Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista.
Visitation was from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 28, 2004 at the funeral home and one hour prior to the funeral service Monday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society (Breast Cancer Research) c/o Dorothy Mortensen, 4 Kensington Lane, Bella Vista, 72714; or to the Bella Vista Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 5248, Bella Vista, 72714.
Arrangements are by the Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory.

Charles Gordon Gustafson
Charles Gordon Gustafson, 80, of Bella Vista, Arkansas, died Oct. 18, 2004, at his home in Bella Vista. He was born May 21, 1924, in Viking, Minnesota, to Carl Gustafson and Ida (Halvorson) Gustafson. He graduated from Newfolden High School, Newfolden, Minnesota, in 1941. He attended St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota, from 1941-1943. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1943-1946 and was honorably discharged as a Lt. j.g. He married Maxine R. Batteram of East Dubuque, Illinois, on July 16, 1946. He returned to St. Olaf in the fall of 1946 and graduated in 1947, magna cum laude. Charles' and Maxine's daughter, Joan, was born on May 14, 1948.
Charles taught high school mathematics in Dawson, Minnesota, from 1947-1984. He also served as assistant football coach from 1947-1969. When not attending summer school and after retirement, he worked as a self-employed painter. He was treasurer for the Lac Qui Parle County Red Cross for 35 years.
He and his wife moved to Bella Vista in September 1995. He was a member of the United Lutheran Church of Bella Vista.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Floyd Green ly; and sister Doris Wulff.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Maxine R. Gustafson of Bella Vista, Arkansas; one daughter, Joan R. Strom of Brookfield, Illinois; one brother, Kermit Green ly of West Salem, Wisconsin; one sister, Gladys Krohn of Williams, Minnesota; sister-in-law Carol Green ly of Bella Vista; and three grandchildren, Laura Strom of Los Angeles, California; Jennifer Strom and her husband Troy Gardner of Roseville, Minnesota; and Kirsten Strom and her husband Cedar Nordbye of Grand Rapids, Michigan.
A memorial service was held Oct. 25, 2004, at the United Lutheran Church, 100 Cooper Rd., Bella Vista, Arkansas, with Pastor Benjamin Veit, Pastor Don Marshall of Oaks Indian Mission, and Pastor Fred Schapp, director of Visitation and Stephen Ministries, officiating. Arrangements are by the Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory, 2258 Forest Hills Boulevard, Bella Vista, Ark.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the United Lutheran Church Scholarship Fund, 100 Cooper Rd., Bella Vista, Ark. 72715; or to the American Cancer Society, c/o Dorothy J. Mortenson, 4 Kensington Lane, Bella Vista, Ark. 72714; or to the Oaks Indian Mission, P.O. Box 130, Oaks, Okla. 74359.

Larry A. Hutmacher
Larry A. Hutmacher, 64, of Bella Vista, Arkansas died Oct. 19, 2004 at the Veteran's Administration Hospital in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
No local services are planned. A private internment will be held at the Fayetteville National Cemetery in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

William E. Steeps
William E. Steeps, 93, of Bella Vista, Arkansas died Oct. 19, 2004 at Highlands Health in Bella Vista. He was born July 11, 1911 in Kansas City, Missouri. His parents were John Steeps and Mary (Cooper) Steeps.
He was former owner of Bill's Auto Supply in Kansas City and Belton, Missouri. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge -- Orient #546 in Kansas City, Missouri. He moved to Bella Vista in 1970 from Kansas City, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Nadine Ragan Steeps.
He is survived by two daughters, Sandra Ann Bowe of Spokane, Washington; Judith Kay Lanoue of Bella Vista, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Chris Lanoue of Chicago, Illinois and Kristin Lanoue of Phoenix, Arizona.
A funeral service was held Oct. 26, 2004 at the Bella Vista Funeral Home Chapel, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Ark. with Reverend Wayne Bartruff officiating. A graveside service was held Oct. 27, 2004 at Floral Hills Cemetery in Kansas City, Missouri.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bella Vista Ambulance Service, 101 Town Center, Bella Vista, Ark. 72714.

Rex Douglas Bedwell
Rex Douglas Bedwell, 59, died Oct. 1, 2004 in Springdale. He was born October 19, 1944, in Texarkana, TX, to Olin Bedwell and Eddie Yearwood.
Rex graduated in 1969 from the University of Arkansas School of Pharmacy. He later went on to get his doctorate in pharmaceuticals. Rex opened Bella Vista Pharmacy in 1971. He was the owner and operator for 34 years. Rex was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Bentonville.
He was also involved in the Arkansas Pharmacy Association, Big Red Razorback Club, Bentonville Bass Club, Harley Owners Group and Quail Unlimited. Rex enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles, scuba diving, spending time with his family, farming and going to Razorback football games. Rex was very dedicated to his patients.
Rex is survived by two sons, Rhett Douglas Bedwell and wife Jennifer of Fayetteville, and Tanner Black Bedwell of Fayetteville; two step-brothers, Charles McCoy and George McCoy, both of Texas; one cousin, Dean Marshall of Radford, Virginia; and partner, Carla Johnson of Bentonville.
Rex was preceded in death by his mother and father, step-father, George McCoy and two aunts.
Funeral services were held Oct. 5, 2004, at the First Baptist Church in Bentonville. Interment followed at the Bentonville City Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Callison-Lough Funeral Service, 605 W. Central Ave., Bentonville, AR 72712.

Jean Gilmer Curby
Jean Gilmer Curby, 84, died Sept. 24, 2004 in Tulsa, Okla.
Jean will be remembered for her kind and loving nature and her abundantly cheerful spirit.

Beth I. Zimmerman Hinkley
Beth I. Zimmerman Hinkley, 84, of Bentonville, Ark., died Sunday, Sept. 26, 2004, in Bentonville. She was born Aug. 12, 1920, in Seneca, Ill., to Dorr Zimmerman and Lois Spencer Zimmerman.
She attended schools in Seneca and college in
Rockford, Ill. She married Les Hinkley on June 20, 1942, in Great Lakes, Ill. The couple lived for many years in Fort Scott, Kan., where she was office manager for their companies. She was active in clubs and other activities.
She moved to Bella Vista, Ark., in 1985, then to Bentonville in 1996. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Bentonville. She enjoyed cooking.
Survivors include her husband, Les Hinkley; a brother, Spencer Zimmerman; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are pending with Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home of Fort Scott, Kan.
Local arrangements were by Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Bentonville.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 1653, Topeka, KS 66606.
