Viola 'Vi' Mary Bush
Viola "Vi" Mary Bush, 71, of Bella Vista, Ark., died March 5, 2005, at her home. She was born Dec. 5, 1933, in Chicago to Al Jersey and Viola Amanda Melkie Jersey.
She was raised and educated in Tinley Park, Ill., and graduated from high school in Harvey, Ill. She married Richard A. Bush on June 8, 1956, in Hazel Crest, Ill. The couple lived in Hazel Crest until moving to Lombard, Ill., in 1966. She was an avid painter and a published poet. She enjoyed flowers and gardening.
Survivors include her husband, Richard Bush; a son, Richard A. Bush Jr. of Chicago; a daughter, Lauren Bush of Fairview, Conn.; and a sister and brother-in-law, Patricia Buffie and Ed Buffie of Bloomington, Ind.
A memorial service was held Wednesday, March 9, at the Bella Vista Community Church with the Rev. Richard Lindman.
Arrangements were by the Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory.

Charles D. Farrell
Charles D. Farrell, 60, of Bella Vista, Ark., died March 11, 2005, at Northwest Medical Center of Benton County in Bentonville, Ark. He was born April 16, 1944, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, to J. Morris Farrell and Arvilla Catherine Wilkens Farrell.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Arvilla Farrell; a brother, Ronald; and a sister, Carol.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Marlene Farrell; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jeffrey Farrell and Anne Farrell of Urbandale, Iowa, and Ryan Farrell and Jennifer Farrell of Des Moines, Iowa; a daughter and son-in-law, Andrea Tyler and Greg Tyler of Urbandale; his father, Morris Farrell of Spirit Lake, Iowa; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Leta Mozena and Don Mozena of Spencer, Iowa, and Vicki Klein and Terry Klein of Spirit Lake; and six grandchildren, Adam, Daryan, Kathryn, Matthew, Alissa and Spencer.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Des Moines, Iowa.
Arrangements were by the Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory.

Margaret E. Hiteshew
Margaret E. Hiteshew, 92, of Bella Vista, Ark., died March 8, 2005, at Northwest Medical Center of Benton County in Bentonville, Ark. She was born June 11, 1912, in Johnstown, Pa., to John Harris and Sarah Kelly Harris.
She was raised and educated in Johnstown. She married George Hiteshew in 1931 in Johnstown. The couple lived in Mobile, Ala., where she was a member of the West Side Methodist Church. She moved to Bella Vista in 2004.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Hiteshew, in 1987; a daughter, Betty McKinney; four brothers; and three sisters.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Mobile, Ala.

Shirley Talbert
Shirley Talbert, 73, of Bella Vista, Ark., died March 12, 2005, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rogers, Ark. She was born Aug. 31, 1931, in Morganville, Kan., to Hazel Wolf, and was later adopted by James Wiley & Cecelia Hollis Wiley.
She moved from Carbondale, Kan., to Bella Vista in 1984. She was raised and educated in Carbondale and graduated in 1949. She was employed by Topeka State Hospital until 1984. She married Marlan Shively in January 1951 in Carbondale. She married James Willard Talbert on October 26, 1968, in Carbondale. She was employed by Cooper Communities until retiring April 1, 2004. She was an active member of the United Lutheran Church, and was involved in the music programs.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Marlan Shively; her second husband, James Willard Talbert; a brother, Bert Wolf; and sister, Dixie Wolf.
Survivors include her birth mother, Hazel Wolf of Clay Center, Kan.; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Marlan Shively and Darlene Shively of Scranton, Kan., Tony Talbert of Bella Vista; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Connie Gardner and Chester Gardner of Topeka, Kan., Kandy Hinck and Larry Hinck of Carbondale, and Celia Jinson of Bentonville, Ark.; one brother, Bill Wolf of Topeka; one sister, Fran Thompson of Grand Terrace, Calif.; nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 18, in the United Lutheran Church of Bella Vista with the Rev. Fred Nelson and the Rev. Fred Schaap.

Elizabeth Ann Vincent
Elizabeth Ann Vincent, 99, of Bella Vista, Ark., died March 4, 2005, at Highlands Health Care in Bella Vista. She was born July 22, 1905, in New Bedford, Mass., to John Shuttleworth and Winiford Nuncomb Shuttleworth.
She moved to Bella Vista in 1972 from Boston, Mass. She was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church in Bella Vista and the St. Bernard Women's Club. When she was active, she played golf for the Ladies 9-Hole Golf Association.
She was preceded in death by her husband; and a brother, Robert W. Shuttleworth.
A Mass of Resurrection was celebrated March 10 at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Bella Vista.
Burial was at the Bella Vista Cemetery.
Thaddeus Theodore 'Ted' Badura
Thaddeus Theodore "Ted" Badura, 85, of Bella Vista, Ark., died April 19, 2005, at Highlands Health and Rehabilitation in Bella Vista. He was born Nov. 30, 1919, in Milwaukee, Wis., to August F. Badura and Selma Rogalski Badura.
He was raised and educated in Milwaukee. He served in the U.S. Army in the Philippines during World War II. He married Margaret M. McShane on July 3, 1943, in Milwaukee. He was employed as a production control manager for Rock-Tenn until retiring in 1985. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the St. Bernard Men's Club. He was an avid golfer.
He was preceded in death by a son, David J. Badura; a daughter, Catherine A. Badura; three brothers; and two sisters.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Margaret "Peggy" Badura; a daughter, Maribeth Badura of Washington, D.C.; and two sons and a daughter-in-law, Thomas J. Badura and Paula Badura of Tucson, Ariz., and James F. Badura of Bella Vista.
A Mass of resurrection was celebrated April 23 at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Bella Vista with Father Andrew Smith.
Vivian E. Cotner
Vivian E. Cotner, 81, of Bella Vista, Ark., died April 16, 2005, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rogers, Ark. She was born Feb. 3, 1924, in Peabody, Kan., to Wesley Remer and Mabel Brunk Remer.
She married Dave Frank Cotner on June 21, 1947, in Gardenia, Calif. She worked as a food server for the Rutschman Restaurant in Newton, Kan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dave Frank Cotner, in 1990; a son, David Cotner; four brothers; and a sister.
Funeral services were held April 20 at the Petersen Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jonathan Watson of the Bella Vista Assembly of God.
Burial was at the Green wood Cemetery in Newton.
