Ruby Lee Cutberth
Ruby Lee Cutberth, 88, of Seligman, Mo., died April 24, 2005, at Northwest Medical Center of Benton County in Bentonville, Ark. He was born June 5, 1916, in Little Indian Creek near Lampe, Mo., to William M. Cutberth and Nancy Ann Hammers Cutberth.
He was a life-long resident of this area. He was a farmer, drove a school bus for Southwest R5 School District of Washburn, Mo., for 30 years. At age 75, he began dancing at Silver Dollar City and for the following 10 years he was known as the "Mambo King." He also performed on the showboat Branson Belle and made 60 appearances in one year.
He enjoyed traveling, listening to the Grand Ole Opry and music. He was a member of the Sugar Creek Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth Cutberth; and a second wife, Velta Cutberth; two daughters, Frances Cutberth and Maxine Cutberth; and a son, Paul Cutberth.
Survivors include four sons, Ray Cutberth and Charles Cutberth, both of Seligman, Tony Cutberth of Bentonville and Dale Cutberth of Bella Vista, Ark.; two daughters, Elsie Cutberth of Eagle Rock, Mo., and Joyce Ward of Bentonville; 17 grand children and 25 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 27 at Sisco Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Johnny Holt.
Susie Lee Fleming Hall
Susie Lee Fleming Hall, 78, of Bentonville, Ark., died on April 23, 2005, in Bella Vista, Ark., from complications of breast cancer. She was born Jan. 4, 1927, in Danville, Ark., to Coy Fleming and Birdie McNair Fleming.
She was the first of eight children. She graduated from Plum Bayou High School in Wright, Ark., in 1946, and attended college in Pine Bluff, Ark. She later moved to California to work in food services.
She married Woodrow Wilson Hall on Nov. 18, 1952, in Reno, Nev.
The couple settled in Kansas City, Mo., where she worked in food services. In 1979, they retired to Bentonville. She returned to work from 1981 to 1991 for the Bentonville School District, also in food services. In 1987, she founded a boutique, L.K. Clothiers, in Bentonville. She retired for health reasons in August 2004.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Wilson Hall in 1986.
Survivors include a son, Nelson Hall of Fair Play, Mo.; three daughters, Linda Kay Napierala of Bella Vista, Ark., Debra Woodrey of Shippensburg, Pa., and Frances Pasbach, of Pleasant Hill, Mo.; two sisters, two brothers, nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, May 1, at the Bella Vista Funeral Home.
Burial services will be held in June at White Chapel Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Gladstone, Mo.
Memorials can be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
Eugene J. 'Gene' Peavey
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. He was employed by Southwestern Bell as a telephone technician until he retired on February 17, 1989 after more than 36 years.
He relocated to Bella Vista in August of 1999 from Houston, Texas. He enjoyed golfing, listening to music and singing, gardening and flying. He received his private pilot's license in the 1970's. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and a Christian.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Edwin Thurston Peavey, Donald Lee Peavey and Herbert Vernon Peavey.
He is survived by his wife Peggy Jean (Ratcliff) Peavey; a son and daughter-in-law Gary E. Rider and Mary Rider of Keller, Texas; two daughters and sons-in-laws, Jeannie Morey and her husband Roger Morey of Jane, Mo., and Jackie Kulow and her husband Mark Kulow of Pine, Colo.; a brother Grayston B. Peavey of Wichita; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held April 26 at the Bella Vista Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jim Haffecke.
Burial was at the Fayetteville National Cemetery.
Arrangements were by the Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory.

Lillian Bates Wilmoth
Lillian Bates Wilmoth, 88, of Gravette, Ark., died April 17, 2005, at her home. She was born Feb. 20, 1917, in Tulsa, Okla., to Jackson Bates and Golda Raye Holloway Bates.
She attended school in Hiwasse, Ark. She was a homemaker and worked with her husband, James Earl Wilmoth, on the couple's farm. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gravette. She enjoyed all sports and watching her children participate in sporting events and other activities.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, James Earl Wilmoth, in 1999.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Alice DelVecchio and Don DelVecchio of Pleasanton, Calif., and Earline Baker and Earl Baker of Oklahoma City, Okla.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry Wilmoth and Evelyn Wilmoth of Gravette, and Jim Wilmoth and Delores Wilmoth of Waldron, Ark.; a sister, Wanda Austin of Decatur, Ark.; a brother and sister-in-law, J.D. Bates and Iris Bates of Springdale, Ark.; a brother-in-law, James "Bunny" Evans of Gravette; two sisters-in-law, Audrey Austin of Bentonville, Ark., and Odessa Wilmoth of Rogers, Ark.; 11 grandchildren, Linda Burns, Scott Baker, Linda Cooper, Donna Henninger, Suzanna Lykins, Robin Hall, Scottie Klentz, Jimmy Wilmoth, Traci Brown, J.D. Newberry and Nancy Owens; 24 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services took place April 22 at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Sam Moore and the Rev. J.D. Arnold.
Burial was at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery near Hiwasse, Ark.
Arrangements were by Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Siloam Springs, Ark.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
Clinton J. Cooper
Clinton J. Cooper, 94, of Bella Vista, Ark., died March 28, 2005, at Northwest Medical Center of Benton County. He was born Nov. 16, 1910, in Dekalb County, Ill., to Clinton J. Cooper and Jessie Pierce Cooper.
He and his wife Thelma moved to Bella Vista in 1977. He was a fixture in Concordia activities. For many years he kept the bar in order at Happy Hour. He helped with the Kentucky Derby Party and he was master of ceremonies at many functions. He was a member and past president of the Bella Vista Fly Tyer's Club and a member of the Quiet Birdmen Society. He has been active and interested in golfing, hunting, fishing and flying for all his adult life.
He was born on a farm near the town of Genoa, Ill. He spent his early years on the farm and the family moved into town in 1919. He enjoyed playing basketball in grammar school. In 1925 the family moved to Oak Park, Ill. He worked with his brother, Ed, in New York in the late 1920's in the interior decorating business and sold cars in Oak Park in the 1930's. He was president of the Oak Park Sportsman Club and was instrumental in the early efforts of wildlife conservation. In the late 1930's he got into the office supply business. He joined the army in 1942 and went to Officers Candidate School. At the end of the war, he had attained the rank of Captain.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Thelma Cotton Cooper of Bella Vista; and nine nieces and nephews.
Burial will be on Sunday, May 1 at North Kingston Cemetery of Kingston, Ill. He will be buried with full military honors.

Martha Ann Cowgur
Martha Ann Cowgur, 53, of Centerton, Ark., died April 2, 2005, at her home following a long illness. She was born Aug. 6, 1951, in Rogers, Ark., to Tommy Rusk and Jean Autry Rusk.
She graduated from Bentonville High School in 1969 and worked for Wal-Mart Photo Processing for more than seven years. She drove a bus for the Bentonville Public Schools. She was a Methodist. She enjoyed gardening, flowers and taking trips to Branson, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her father, Tommy Rusk; and a brother, Burton Rusk.
Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Craig Cowgur; two sons, Matt Cowgur of Centerton and Richie Cowgur of Bella Vista, Ark.; a daughter, Rachel Ann Norton of Centerton; her mother, Jean Rusk of Centerton; a brother, Jerry Rusk of Centerton; and two granddaughters, Emma Bryan and Katie Bryan, both of Centerton.
Graveside funeral services were held April 6 at the Centerton Cemetery with Chaplain Steve Dykes.
Arrangements were by Stockdale Funeral Services of Rogers, Ark.
