Estelle Maurice "Tiny" Spangler
Estelle “Tiny” Spangler, 74, of Gravette died May 24, 2015. He was born January 31, 1941 in Seiling, Oklahoma to Eugene and Nora Spangler.
Preceded in death: his parents, six brothers, and three sisters.
Survivors: wife, Linda; son, Howard; daughter, Deborah; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Jessie Dodson
Jessie Dodson, 70, of Rogers died May 23, 2015. She was a devout member of First Pentecostal Church of God and loved her family and her church. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and camping.
Survivors: three sons; Rickie Laughlin (Amy), Leon Laughlin (Christina), and David Barnum; and twelve grandchildren.
A service will be First Pentecostal Church of God in Rogers, Saturday, June 6th at 1pm.
Bayleigh Nicole Ewbank
Bayleigh Nicole Ewbank, 19, of Rogers passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2015 in Conway. She was born July 3, 1995 in Rogers.
She was employed by Andy’s Frozen Custard for over 3 years. She was a lifetime resident of Rogers. She was a Rogers Heritage Graduate with the Class of 2013. She was a cheerleader for many years, also with All Star Cheer. She loved to mentor young cheerleaders, it was her passion. She loved people, and helping them.
She enjoyed floating, making crafts, loved shopping and Harry Potter, and listening to music. She was preceded in death by: her grandmother; Susan Ewbank and her grandfather; Jim Howell.
Bayleigh is survived by her father; Chris Ewbank, of Bentonville, her mother; Jayme Smith, of Rogers, two brothers; Austin and Brice Ewbank, of Bentonville, two sisters; Kallina Sims and Aryah Smith, of Rogers, numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, grandfather; Shawn Ewbank, of Alabama, and great-grandmother; Charlotte Nolan, of Kansas.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 9am until 10am at First Baptist Church of Lowell.
Funeral service will be Tuesday at 10am at First Baptist Church of Lowell with Pastor Gary Thomas officiating.
Donald Houston Hodges
Donald Houston Hodges, 67, of Bella Vista died May 19 at Northwest Medical Center. He was born January 26, 1948 in Houston, Texas.
Survivors: mother of his children; Arlene, sons; Jon, Brian, Artie, and Isaac, daughters; Stephanie, and Patsy, sister; Sheryl.
Helen Jo Baker
Helen Jo Baker, of Bentonville died Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville. She was born December 31, 1930 in Cave Springs, Arkansas.
Helen enjoyed quilting, gardening, cooking, and music. She was a lifetime resident of Northwest Arkansas and a loyal member of Eastside Assembly of God in Bentonville.
She was preceded in death by her mother Lillian Gaston, one daughter; Jeanie Smith and one brother; Clyde Gaston.
Helen is survived by her husband James Baker who she married July 19, 1948, three daughters; Brenda Dover of Pea Ridge, Connie Stephens and her husband Willis, of Washburn, Missouri, Pamela Boling and her husband Jack of Bentonville, nine grand children, 18 great-grandchildren, 16 great-great-grandchildren and many other loving relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 5pm-7pm Monday, May, 18 at Eastside Assembly of God Church of Bentonville.
Funeral service will be 10am Tuesday, May 19th at Eastside Assembly of God Church of Bentonville. Interment will follow at Cave Springs Cemetery.
Doris Earlene Mather O’Hair
Doris Earlene Mather O’Hair, 86, of Bentonville died Friday, May 15, 2015 at Circle of Life Hospice House in Bentonville. She was born November 15, 1928 in Wichita, Kansas the daughter of Mary Earlene Tietz and Glen Mather.
She enjoyed crocheting and reading. She was a school teacher for many years in California, before retiring with Bentonville Public Schools. She had lived in the Northwest Arkansas area since 1972.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Bentonville. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Red O’Hair, and one brother.
Doris is survived by: one son; John O’Hair, of Bentonville, two daughters; Kathleen Hunt and her husband Lonnie, of Rogers, Patty Sue Vicknair and her husband Kevin, of Fayetteville, two siblings, four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
A private interment was at Bentonville Cemetery.
Leroy “Roy” David Hemminger
Leroy “Roy” David Hemminger, 95, of Rogers, Arkansas died Friday, May 15, 2015 at his residence. He was born January 13, 1920 in Manilla, Iowa.
Roy is survived by: one son; Bruce Hemminger, one daughter; Karen Johnson and many loving relatives.
June R. Hoyt
June R. Hoyt, a longtime resident of Edina, Minnesota, and more recently of Rogers, Arkansas, died May 13, 2015. She was preceded in death by her best friend, her husband of fifty plus years, John S. Hoyt Jr., PhD.
June was born in upstate New York and was a graduate of Syracuse University where she was a member of Tau Sigma Delta, Architecture and Allied Arts Honorary, and Tau Epsilon, Design Honorary.
She had been a member of the Woman’s Club of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and the Edina Woman’s Club in Minnesota.
June was an avid bridge player and golfer and had a great appreciation for music and the arts. However, her greatest joy and pride came from her family who gave so freely of their love and devotion.
She is survived by two daughters: Susan (Peter) Jasan, of Arkansas, and Sally Dean Hoyt (Vaughn Ausman) of Wisconsin, and her grandchildren, Robert John Jasan (Lacey) and Catherine Jasan Towle (William), and three great-grandchildren: Cooper, Alexis and Jenna. She is also survived by a sister and several nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank all the Mercy Health care staff as well as the staff at Circle of Life Hospice at Legacy Village for their outstanding and tender care.
