Linda Lee Shrum
Linda Lee Becknel Shrum, 50, of Siloam Springs, died Saturday, April 11, 2015 at her home. She was born January 18, 1965 in San Jose, California the daughter of Melvin and Ann Becknel.
Linda loved spending time with family. She was a devoted mother. She cherished her grandchildren, Emmy and Bubby and loved the outdoors, fishing and camping. We all have many fabulous memories with Linda. She will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents; Letty and Cecil Becknel, father; Melvin Ray Becknel, one aunt; Mary Ann Salisbury, one uncle; Willie Becknel, and two brothers Billy Becknel and Danny Becknel.
Linda is survived by one daughter; Tiffany Shrum and her husband Chad of Oaks, Oklahoma, one sister Lorraine Novak and her husband Pat of Charlotte, North Carolina, cousins; Cindy Bilbruck and her husband Greg, Tia Wing and her husband Roger, Tammy Kincheloe and Michael Becknel, two grandchildren, Emily and Chebon Martin and many other loving friends and family.
A memorial service will be at 5pm on April 20th at Kansas Oklahoma Cemetery.
Tresha St. Clair
Tresha St. Clair, 82, of Rogers died Friday, April 10, 2015 at Circle of Life Hospice House Bentonville. She was born August 26, 1932.
She is survived by many loving relatives and friends.
Graveside service will be Monday at 10am at Decatur Cemetery.
Vera Christine Gafford Van Nest
Vera Christine Gafford Van Nest, 90, of Bella Vista died Thursday, April 9, 2015 at Ozark Community Hospital. She was born April 7, 1925 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma the daughter of Clyde and Pearl Gafford.
She worked as a PBX Operator for the Houston Oil Company and later for Magcobar and lived in Houston, Texas for many years.
Christine was a homemaker and mother and in her later years a talented artist. She also enjoyed ballroom dancing. She lived in Ireland for four years and loved everything about the country and people. In 2012, she moved to Bella Vista, Arkansas from Tulsa, Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fritz Van Nest and one brother, James Gafford.
Christine is survived by two daughters; Saundra Murray and her husband Richard of Bella Vista, Alix Stuart and her husband Gary of Tulsa and Grand Lake, Oklahoma, one sister; Pam Maisano and her husband Jim. Survivors also include, two grandchildren; Melissa Harrison and Austin Stuart, two great-grandchildren; Casey Harrison and Jennie Miller and one great-great-grandchild; Lukas Harrison, and two nephews; Clyde Gafford and Scott Gafford.
A memorial service for friends and family will be held at a later date.
Scott Eric Richter
Scott Richter, 50, of Fayetteville, passed away April 7, 2015 at his home. He was born April 5, 1965 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
He was the loving son of Elliot Richter and Linda Dobson, and the loving father of Dennis Richter.
Jamal Abu Hamdan
Jamal Abu Hamdan, born June 14, 1942, left us Saturday, April 4, 2015.
Jamal is a renowned award winning Jordanian writer in the Arab world. He will be remembered by his legacy of many books, theatre and visual productions, and more.
He is survived by his wife Rima Eirani, daughters Toula and Taraf, his son Tawfeek and wife Lesley, his grand daughters Jude and Sage Abohammdan.
Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery in Fayetteville.
A celebration of Jamal’s life will be held on Saturday, April 11 from 2-6pm at his residence.
Peggy Jean Fulmer
Peggy Jean Fulmer, 86, of Bentonville died Friday, April 3, 2015 at a local skilled care center. She was born November 22, 1928 in Avoca, Arkansas the daughter of Anna Mae Nelson and Carter Wiley.
She was a Baptist and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband R. Ray Fulmer. She had lived in Northwest Arkansas since 2001 after moving from Conway.
Survivors include: two sons; Ray Fulmer II and his wife Debbie, of Fort Smith, Tim Fulmer and his wife Amy, of Bentonville, one daughter; Sharon Fulmer and her husband DeWayne, of Edwards, Colorado, two sisters; Billie Cooper, of Fort Worth, Texas, Ada Henbest, of Rogers, seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Interment will be at Crestlawn Memorial Park in Faulkner County.
The Celebration of her Life will be April 18th at 2pm at Grace Baptist Church of Rogers.

Roberta Forrester
Roberta Forrester, 74, of Rogers died Friday, April 3, 2015 at her residence. She was born February 3, 1941.
Survivors include: two sons; Kelly Forrester (Dianna) of Virginia, Scott Forrester, of Oklahoma, one daughter; Tami Forrester, of Oklahoma.
No services are planned.
Carolyn Jeanette Sadler
Carolyn Jeanette Sadler, 46, of Gravette died Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at Northwest Medical Center of Bentonville. She was born November 9, 1968 in Columbia, Missouri the daughter of Virginia Hutchison and James. T. Newell Sr.
She enjoyed spending quality time with her granddaughter Marley, and she was an avid reader. She had lived in Northwest Arkansas for 12 years after moving from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. She was an avid Arkansas Razorback fan and enjoyed attending Razorback events. She also enjoyed working with stained glass and other arts and crafts, working with charities, and helping others.
Carolyn is survived by one son; Michael Sterling Sadler and his wife Stephanie, of Oklahoma, her mother; Virginia Lee Hutchison-Newell, of Gravette, her father; James “Jim” Newell and his wife Kathy, of Springdale, three brothers; Tom Newell, of Rogers, Lee Newell and his wife Angie, of Gravette, Adam Anderson and his wife Evelyn, of California, three sisters; Acacia Backs and her husband Nicholas, Angela Youngblood and her husband Joe Pat, Melissa Anderson, all of Berryville, granddaughter; Marley Sadler; and many loving nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Visitation Friday, April 3, 2015 from 2-3pm at First Assembly of God Church in Gravette. Funeral service will follow at 3pm with Pastor Jack Deaton officiating.
Interment and graveside service will be at Nelson Cemetery in Nelson, Missouri.
