Milford Downing Jr.

Milford Downing Jr., 85, of Bella Vista, Arkansas died Friday, May 25, 2012 at his home. He was born April 4, 1927 in Arcade, New York the son of Mayme Eggert and Milford Downing.

He proudly served the United States in the Navy during World War II, where he earned an Honorable Discharge. He enjoyed working crosswords and collecting coins. In his earlier life, he enjoyed collecting model cars. He was a Protestant and had lived in the Northwest Arkansas area since 1980 after moving from Toledo, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, James Phillip Downing, and one grandson, James Tyler Downing.

Milford is survived by his wife of 45 years, Lorraine Kittle Downing, whom he married May 28, 1966; one son, Michael Downing, of Bella Vista, Arkansas; five daughters, Carol Gagliano, and husband, Gene, of Buffalo, Wyoming, Jeanne Diffenderfer and husband, Ray, of Olean, New York, Linda Bess of Olean, New York, Joanne Hitchcock of Allegany, New York, and Melissa Long and husband, Jay, of Bella Vista, Arkansas; 17 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date by the family.

Mary Ingram

Mary Elizabeth Capps Keith Ingram, loving mother, wife, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend, and longtime Coffeyville resident, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2012, at the age of 84.

Mary was born May 5, 1928 in Peru , Kansas, to Ida May Johnson Capps and Hubert Capps. She moved, with her family, to Coffeyville, at the age of 5, where her father was Superintendent of Luduici Tile. The Capps family made their home at 1108 W. 3rd. Mary is proceeded in death by her parents, two older brothers, Clarence and Hubert Capps, Jr., and sister, Dolores Tesh.

Mary graduated from Field Kindley High School in 1946, where she was a member of Drum and Bugle Corps and Senior and Sophomore Class Secretary. She graduated from Coffeyville Community College in 1948.

On March 17, 1950, Mary married Jim Keith at First Methodist Church in Coffeyville. They built a home in West Coffeyville at 3303 W. 8th and were soon blessed with three daughters, Julie Ann, Linda Jane, and Joyce Lynn. Mary established a loving home, and her greatest joy was caring for her family. Over the years, Mary and Jim enjoyed spending time with family and friends at their lake homes on Spavinaw Lake, Grand Lake, and Havana Lake. They also greatly enjoyed their travels to 48 states and Mexico. Mary also enjoyed Hawaii and the U.S. Virgin Islands. After 40 wonderful years together, Jim died in 1990.

Mary was again dearly blessed in 1996 with her marriage to Tom Ingram. Tom and Mary enjoyed 16 wonderful years together.

Mary was employed at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center as an Accredited Record Technician in the Medical Record Department, and also later served as Secretary to the CRMC Foundation Department from 1988 until her retirement in 2000. She was a lifetime member of the CRMC Auxiliary where she enjoyed volunteering.

Mary was a long time member of First United Methodist Church in Coffeyville, where she especially enjoyed the quilting ladies. Mary was also active in United Methodist Women and her circles, as well as her Sunday school class.

Mary was involved in many community affairs, including PTA President at West Coffeyville Grade School and a lifetime PTA member.

Mary was active in Eastern Star, Chapter 102, Azrin Temple No. 81, and the Coffeyville Daughters of the Nile. She was a member of the National American Medical Record Association.

Mary is survived by her husband, Tom, and her three daughters, Julie Carr and husband Dennis of Houston, Texas, Linda Malloy and husband Rick, and Joyce George, of Fayetteville, Arkansas.

A joy in Mary’s life were her 10 grandchildren (nine boys! And one girl), who all adored and will greatly miss their “Grammy.” Mary’s sweet spirit lives on in her only granddaughter, Amanda Jane Malloy Julich, and her love of life in her grandsons, Casey, Cody and Clint Carr, Leo, Matthew and Anthony Malloy, and Tommy, Luke and Andy George.

Mary’s blessings of great-grandchildren include three great granddaughters Addison Elizabeth and Chanie Grace Julich and Mary Emma George, and four great-grandsons (so far!), Caden James Carr, Thomas Aiden, Kaleb, and Kameron George.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with family on Friday June 1 from 6-8 in the evening, at First United Methodist Church in Coffeyville. The memorial service will be conducted June 2 at 11 in the morning at First United Methodist Church, with interment of ashes at Fairview Cemetery.

The family suggests memorials to the Coffeyville Regional Medical Center Foundation, Post Office Box 305, Coffeyville, KS 67337.

George Toney

George Edward Toney Jr., 86, of Rogers, Arkansas died Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at his home. He was born March 16, 1926 in Orange, Texas the son of Olivia and George Toney.

He served in the United States Navy. He loved spending quality time with his family and friends. In years past, he enjoyed fishing and had a desire to work. He enjoyed watching Razorback football.

He was preceded in death by his parents, numerous sisters, and one daughter.

Survivors include his wife, Geraldine Toney, of the home; three sons including Jason Toney and his wife, Monica, of Gravette, Arkansas; one daughter; numerous grandchildren including grandsons, Nathan and Caleb; and many great-grandchildren.

Graveside service will be Thursday, May 24, 2012 at Campbell Cemetery in Greenland at 10:00 a.m.

Larry Davis

Larry Dale Davis, 62, of Cabot, Arkansas died Tuesday, May 22 at his home.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and music.

He is survived by his wife, Marjorie; son, T.J.; daughters, Tesha, Crystal, and Larayna; brothers, Dwight, Leslie, Malcomb, Dale, and Shandy; sisters, Paula and Tonya; and 20 grandchildren.

Judy Johnson

Judy Rae Johnson, 59, of Springdale, Arkansas died Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at Circle of Life Hospice House in Springdale.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Springdale. She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her son, James Johnson, and his wife, Sue; her brother, Jerry Talley, and his wife, Roma; her sister, Mary Baker, and her husband, Harry; two grandchildren, Seth Johnson and Felicia Johnson, both of Springdale, Arkansas.

Graveside service will be Saturday, May 26, 2012 at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery near Hiwasse, Arkansas.

Memorials may be sent to Circle of Life Hospice House, 901 Jones Road, Springdale, Arkansas 72764.
