Martin Kaufman
Martin Elliot Kaufman, 87, of Bella Vista, Arkansas died Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at Circle of Life Hospice House in Bentonville, Arkansas. He was born January 13, 1925 in Cleveland, Ohio the son of Etta Rosen and Jack J. Kaufman.
He served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a teacher for many years. He had lived in the Northwest Arkansas area for over nine years after moving from Port Hueneme, California. He was a member of Unity Church of the Ozarks. He enjoyed reading, literature, and writing. He was a member of DBSA and NTA.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Estelle Fisher and Marge Rosso.
Martin is survived by his wife of 40 years, Judy Kaufman, whom he married February 18, 1972; two sons, Robert Bruce Kaufman and his wife, Connie, of Canyon County, California and Dowe Wallace Kaufman of Martinsville, Indiana; two daughters, Sarah Beth Backus and her husband, John, of Newbury Park, California and Rachael Cindy Kaufman of Ventura, California; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be Thursday, December 27, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at Unity Church of the Ozarks.

Mary Strickland
Mary Ellen (Yeakey) Strickland was born March 6, 1925 in Tulsa, OK. She went to join her Savior on December 6, 2012 from their home in Bentonville, Arkansas.
Mary Ellen exemplified faith, commitment, and nurturing for young children. She was a talented artist who graduated from the University of Tulsa and had a successful career at Hallmark Cards in Kansas City, Kansas where she met and married Rev. Harold Strickland. As they moved from small Episcopal parishes in Missouri, Kansas, and Iowa, Mary Ellen was a constant source of help and encouragement to Harold with personal passions for children’s work.
Five children were born to Harold and Mary Ellen.
She is survived by Harold of the home, Cheryl and Gene Allen, Andrew and Julie Strickland, Hilda and Ron Lantz, Paul and Lisa Strickland, and Mark Strickland in addition to seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Services will be held at St. Theodore’s Episcopal Church, Bella Vista, Arkansas, Monday, December 10th at 11:00 a.m. The family requests that memorials be marked for St. Theodore’s Memorial Fund.
Roxanna Mackall
Roxanna Lynn Mackall, 58, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas died Sunday, December 2, 2012 at her home. She was born October 5, 1954 in Kiowa, Kansas the daughter of Joanna Walls and William Jenkins.
She enjoyed spending quality time with her boys, time in her home, and attending Harvard Baptist Church in Siloam Springs.
She was preceded in death by her father and one brother.
Roxanna is survived by her husband, Louis Mackall, of the home; her mother, Joanna Haddock, of Siloam Springs; two sons, Jared Mackall of Siloam Springs and Adam Mackall of Eugene, Oregon; one brother, Randy Jenkins, of Springfield, Missouri; and one sister, Rhonda Alexander, of Siloam Springs.
Interment was at Fairmont Cemetery in Gentry, Arkansas.
Ruth Dettlaff
Ruth Dettlaff, 79, of Springdale, Arkansas died Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Circle of Life Hospice House in Springdale. She was born May 23, 1933.
Ruth is survived by her husband, Gil Dettlaff, and many other loving relatives.
Dewayne Wolfe
Dewayne Lee Wolfe, 68, of Bentonville, Arkansas died Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Circle of Life Legacy Village in Bentonville. He was born January 14, 1944 in Buhl, Idaho to Frank and Mildred (Mulkey) Wolfe.
He worked for RTW for 35 years. After retiring, he painted with his two sisters. He enjoyed painting, woodworking, Razorback sports, reading, going to garage sales, and spending time with his family. He was a lifetime resident of Northwest Arkansas.
Dewayne was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and four brothers.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Billie Wolfe; two sons, Dwight Wolfe and his wife, Katie, of Bentonville and Stacy Wolfe and his wife, Melony Still, of Centerton, Arkansas; one daughter, Jeana Cole and her husband, Jim, of Colorado; one brother, Perry Wolfe and his wife, Virginia, of Gooding, Idaho; five grandchildren, Jennifer Jewett and her husband, Nick, Libby Wolfe, Alycea Wolfe, Matthew Elliott, and Allie Wolfe; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation is Sunday, December 2, 2012 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Epting Funeral Home in Bentonville.
Graveside service is Monday, December 3, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Coffelt Cemetery in Vaughn, Arkansas with Pastor Cass Hill officiating.
Memorials may be sent to American Heart Association or Circle of Life Hospice.
Darlene Krugler
Darlene (Dodd) Krugler, 50, of Prairie Grove, Arkansas passed away Friday, November 30, 2012. She was born February 12, 1962 in Martinez, California to Grace Dodd and Sam Dodd (deceased) of Prairie Grove.
Darlene was a loving mother blessed with two sons, Scotty Grubbs, 34, and Cody Grubbs, 30, of Fayetteville, Arkansas; brother, Sam Dodd Jr. and his wife, Cara, of Prairie Grove; sister, Julie Dodd, of Prairie Grove; Uncle and Aunt David and Dena Dodd; and Grandmother, Leona DeVore, of Prairie Grove.
Frank Mader
Franklin Christopher Mader, 62, of Bentonville, Arkansas died Friday, November 30, 2012 at Mercy Hospital in Rogers, Arkansas after a short and sudden illness. He was born June 18, 1951 in Hahira, Georgia to Bernard and Lucille Mader.
He loved his family passionately and was known for his many “Frankisms” one of which was “that’s the ABCs of me, babe.” He enjoyed coaching soccer, guitars, his Camero Convertible, classic rock and blues, watching the Florida Gators and Washington Red Skins, and reading his Nook. He had lived in the Northwest Arkansas area for 13 years after moving from Jefferson City, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents and in-laws.
Franklin is survived by his wife of 38 years, Jan Mader; three sons, Christopher Mader and his partner, Erin Stanley, of Longmont, Colorado, Jason Mader of Bentonville, and Matthew and his wife, Amanda, of Pineville, Missouri; one brother, Karl Mader and his wife, Ruth, of Jacksonville, Florida; a sister, Anne Beirman of Wyoming; one brother-in-law, Charles Howell, Jr. of Ponte Vedra, Florida; and five grandchildren.
Celebration of life service will be on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at noon at Life Connection Church in Rogers with Josh Davis officiating.
