David Nunamaker

David Barclay Nunamaker, 73, of Rogers, Arkansas died Friday, November 30, 2012 at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville, Arkansas. He was born January 7, 1939 in Columbus, Ohio to Hiram and Amanda Helen (Ogg) Nunamaker.

He enjoyed traveling, fishing, walking the dog, and spending time with his family. He was a native of Ohio and resided in Northwest Arkansas after traveling coast to coast in the RV with the love of his life and their loyal dog Zachary.

David was preceded in death by parents and grandson, Barron White.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Judy Nunamaker; his step-mother, Jane Pyle and her husband, Harold, of Ohio; one son, David Nunamaker and his wife, Betsy, of North Carolina; three step-sons, Bob White, Michael White and his wife, Lori, and Eric White, all of Ohio; two daughters, Annesa Paulo and her husband, Bill, of Arkansas and Donna Debenport of Ohio; one brother, Jim Nunamaker and his wife, Eileen, of Ohio; one sister-in-law, Shirley Terra and husband Dale Jr., of California; one brother-in-law, Marland Johnston and wife Mary, of Arizona; 12 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.

Celebration of life service will be on Monday, December 3, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Revolution Church in Rogers with Gary Williams officiating.

Memorials may be sent to The Humane Society, 407 East Nursery Road, Rogers, Arkansas 72758.

Harold Strosahl

Harold Louis Strosahl, 89, a World War II Veteran, of Bentonville, Arkansas passed peacefully into the hands of the Lord Friday, November 30, 2012 at Northwest Medical Center of Benton County in Bentonville, Arkansas with his daughter Tammy by his side. He was born in Westgate, Iowa July 21, 1923.

He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Rogers, Arkansas for 27 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 71 years, Verla, whom passed November 7, 2012, and two great grandchildren.

Harold is survived by eight children, Jim Strosahl and wife, Phyllis, of Montana, Dale Strosahl and wife, Florence, of Minnesota, Gloria Studt and husband, John, of Arkansas, Dean Strosahl and wife, Petra, of Germany, Joyce Blass and husband, Bob, of Iowa, Kenny Strosahl and wife, Vicky, of Iowa, Becky Garret of Arkansas, and Tammy Hummel of Arkansas. Also, he is survived by 20 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church of Rogers, Arkansas with Pastor Paul Theiss officiating.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 13, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home in Oelwein, Iowa. Funeral services will be Friday, December 14, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home.
Baby Boy Kondapalli

Baby Boy Kondapalli, infant son of Srinivas and Swathi Kondapalli, of Bentonville, Arkansas died Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at Willow Creek Women’s Hospital in Johnson, Arkansas.

He is survived by many loving relatives.

Burial was at Rogers Cemetery.

Perry McKimmey

Perry M. McKimmey passed away, at the age of 61, on Monday, November 26, 2012.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Virginia, and his cherished family and friends.

No services are planned.

Betty Pothast

Betty June Pothast died Sunday, November 25, 2012 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She was born January 19, 1923 in Farmington, Arkansas the daughter of Tyre V. “Tennessee” and Sara Frances Sims Robertson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd A. Pothast Jr.; three sisters, Hallie Rhea Webb, Evelyn Stubblefield, and Josephine Jones; and three brothers, Alvin, Castro, and Claude Robertson.

Betty is survived by many nieces and nephews.

She graduated from Farmington High School and Fort Smith Business College. She worked as a secretary for the University of Arkansas and partnered with her husband in their real estate company. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church, Asbury Sunday School Class, and Circle No. 1. She served on the Administrative Board, Board of Trustees, and was past president of United Methodist Woman. She was a volunteer at Washington Regional Medical Center and helped with community meals at Central Church. She was a member of Chapter K. PEO Sisterhood. She had lived in Butterfield Trail Village since 1999.

A private service and inurnment will be at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville.

Vito Blavesciunas

Vito Blavesciunas, 63, of Fayetteville, Arkansas died on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at his home. He was born May 27, 1949 in Germany to Vytautas and Petronele Blavesciunas.

He enjoyed women, gambling, drinking, and spending time with his family, children, and grandchildren. He was a hard worker and had lived in the Northwest Arkansas area since 1951 after moving from Germany.

Vito was preceded in death by his parents, Vytautas and Petronele Blavesciunas, and two brothers, Paul and Tony.

He is survived by three sons, Russell Blavesciunas and his wife, Karol Sharrnon, of Pennsylvania, Luke Blavesciunas of Georgia, and Jackie Schellert of Arkansas; three daughters, Dawn Church and her husband, David Wales, of Fayetteville, Arkansas; Alison Blavesciunas of Georgia; and Amanda Jones of Arkansas; two brothers, Joe Blavesciunas of Arkansas and Johnny Blavesciunas of Illinois; four sisters, Mary George of Arkansas, Stella Hastings, Jeannie Buodino, and Ruthie Blavesciunas, all of Illinois; and eight grandchildren.

Funeral will be on Friday, November 30, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Cross Church Fayetteville (613 S. College) with Paster Andy Goode officiating. Please send memorial flowers to the church.

Billie Stricklind

Billie Stricklind of Wilson, Oklahoma died on November 24, 2012.

She enjoyed reading, working on puzzles, and watching TV.

Billie was preceded by her mother, one son, and two brothers.

She is survived by her husband, three sons, two brothers, one sister, eight grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
