Paul Ivan Boop
Paul Ivan Boop, 87, of Bella Vista, Ark., died July 20, 2005, at Northwest Medical Center of Benton County in Bentonville, Ark. He was born July 4, 1918, in Humboldt, Neb., to Marvin Boop and Zoe Cross Boop.
He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Survivors include his wife, Janice L. Boop; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Donald P. Boop of Providence, R.I., and Ronald P. Boop and Karen Boop of Wahoo, Neb.; a brother and sister-in-law, James Albin and Donna Albin of Omaha, Neb.; a sister and brother-in-law, Margaret Brazee and James Brazee of Lincoln, Neb.; a grandson; a granddaughter; and three great-grandchildren.
A graveside memorial service will be held at a later date at the Sunrise Cemetery in Wahoo, Neb.
Arrangements were by the Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory.
William Ferdinand Burnett
William Ferdinand Burnett, 79, of Bella Vista, Ark., died July 22, 2005, at Highland Heath Care in Bella Vista.
He was born Aug. 28, 1925, in Mason City, Iowa, to John James Burnett and Margaret Siesseger Burnett. He was raised and educated in Mason City, and served in the U.S. Army Air Forces during and after World War II from 1943 to 1946.
He married Kathleen Arnold on May 8, 1947, in Mason City. He received a bachelor of arts degree from Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls, Iowa, and taught school for 10 years in Mason City. He also worked for the Department of Public Safety in Des Moines, Iowa, and later for the U.S. Department of Transportation in Washington, D.C., and in Denver, Colo.
In 1969, he received a master's degree from Central Missouri State University. He retired in 1984 and moved to Bella Vista in 1988. He was an active member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church and St. Bernard's Men's Club and VFW Post 9063. He enjoyed golf, football, hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Kathleen Burnett of Bella Vista, six sons and two daughters-in-law, Steve Burnett of Englewood, Colo., James Burnett and Kathy Burnett of Overland Park, Kan., John Burnett of Parker, Colo., Tim Burnett of Louisville, Colo., Andrew Burnett of Centennial, Colo., Bill Burnett Jr. and Christy Burnett of Erie, Colo., two brothers and sisters-in-law, Thomas Burnett and Beverly Burnett of Northfield, Minn., and Joseph Burnett and Jane Ann Burnett of Jefferson City, Mo., and eight grandchildren.
A Mass of the Resurrection was held July 26, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Bella Vista with Father Andrew Smith. Military honors were by the Bella Vista VFW Post 9063.

Donald Emmett Daley
Donald Emmett Daley, 72, of Hiwasse, Ark., died July 16, 2005, at Regency Hospital in Springdale, Ark. He was born Oct. 23, 1932, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, to Justin Daley and Mildred Cleaver Daley.
He was raised and educated in Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Detroit, Mich., where he attended Cass Tech Vocational School. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1952 until 1955. He moved to Bella Vista in 1980 from Geneva, Ill. He owned and operated the Goldsmith Jewelry Shop in Bentonville, Ark.
A memorial service was held July 22 at the Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory of Bella Vista, Ark.

Paul Franklin Hughes
Paul Franklin Hughes, 76, of Bella Vista, Ark., died July 18, 2005, at his home. He was born June 23, 1929, in Chicago, Ill., to Clarence John Hughes and Edna May Grund Hughes.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean conflict. He graduated from Bowling Green State University in Ohio with a bachelor of science in business administration degree. He was a past director of the Chicago Junior Chamber of Commerce and a past board member of Illinois High School District 211.
He moved to Bella Vista in 1984 from Barrington, Ill. He was a member of the Bella Vista Community Church, where he was a former deacon. He was a former volunteer for St. Mary's Hospital in Rogers, Ark., and was a member of the Bella Vista Men's 18-Hole Golf Association. He enjoyed gardening and won Bella Vista Yard of the Year awards.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley L. Hughes; a son and daughter-in-law, Glenn Hughes and Jennifer Hughes of Crystal Lake, Ill.; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Kathleen La Chapelle and Michael La Chapelle of Barrington Hills, Ill., Barbara Dowdakin and Mark Dowdakin of Winnebago, Ill., and Deborah Hughes of Chicago, Ill.; a brother, Dr. Robert J. Hughes of Prescott, Ariz.; and four grandchildren, Jonathan Dowdakin, Jared Dowdakin, Nicole La Chapelle and Rachel Hughes.
Arrangements were by the Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory.

JoAnn Marie Morgan
JoAnn Marie Morgan, 46, of Rogers, Ark., died July 19, 2005, at her home. She was born Sept. 27, 1958, in Rogers to Lemuel Van Johnson and Eula F. Dutton Johnson.
She was a lifelong resident of the area. She was a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lemuel Van Johnson; and an aunt.
Survivors include her mother, Eula Johnson of Rogers; a son, Billy Jo Morgan of Bella Vista, Ark.; four brothers, James Lemuel Johnson of Bella Vista, Alvin Van Johnson and Raymond Eugene Johnson, both of Rogers, and David Herman Johnson of Seligman, Mo.; two sisters, Dorothy May Jackson and Eula Virginia Crisp, both of Garfield, Ark.; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held July 22 at Calvary Temple Church in Bentonville, Ark., with Pastor Dick Rogers.
Burial was at the Tuck's Chapel Cemetery in Rogers.
Warren Gene Nycum
Mr. Warren Gene Nycum, age 55, of Pineville, Mo., died July 17, 2005 at his home due to complications from an Agent Orange exposure (3800 Exposure days) in Vietnam Cu Chi Area.
He married Carolyn Mae Nickels on Dec. 29, 1972 at Bartlesville, Okla.
He was a member of the VFW Post #9063 in Bella Vista, Ark. and was involved in the Literacy Program. He was a member of the New Life Fellowship of Anderson, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, younger brother and sister, Daryl Gordon Nycum and Sharon Gale Nycum.
Survivors include his wife, two brothers, Gary Lee Nycum and Phillip Dale Nycum, both of Corpus Christi, Texas and an Aunt, Yvonne Nycum of Davis, Calif.
Memorial services were held July 22 at the Walker-Dowd Funeral Home in Anderson, Mo. Military honors were conducted by the Bella Vista VFW Post #9063.

Helen A. Ramsey
Helen A. Ramsey, 91, of Bella Vista, Ark., died July 21, 2005, at Northwest Medical Center of Benton County in Bentonville, Ark. She was born July 20, 1914, in North English, Iowa.
She moved to Bella Vista from Punta Gorda, Fla. She was a member of the Bella Vista Community Church. She played bridge at Concordia.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lt. Col. Robert E. Ramsey; and three brothers.
Survivors include two daughters, Barbara J. Combs of Bella Vista, and Donna Passmore of Hartford, Ala.; three grandchildren, Donna Kendall Christie, Col. Edwin Passmore and Robert H. Passmore; and a special friend, Wayne Hamrick.
Her ashes will be interred at the Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia, next to her husband at a later date.
