Nell Marie Kenney Maxwell
Nell Marie Kenney Maxwell, 93, of Rogers, and formerly of Neosho, Mo., died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2001, in Rogers. She was born July 28, 1908, in Newton County, Mo., to Lee and Ada Lee Kenney.
After her retirement, she continued to do clothing alterations for several business and friends. She was a longtime member of First Christian Church of Neosho, and was an elder emeritus.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Maxwell; and a brother, Harry Lee Kenney.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Bob McIntire of Bella Vista; a granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Dr. Deanne and Dr. David Witherspoon of Rogers; and two great-granddaughters, Megan Marie Witherspoon and Amy Anne Witherspoon, both of Rogers.
A family memorial service was held. Cremation arrangements were by Clark Funeral Home of Neosho.

Willard I. Means
Willard I. Means, 64, of Gentry, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2001, at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale. He was born Feb. 9, 1937, in Fairfield, Iowa, to Leroy and Josephine Howe Means.
He moved to Gentry on April 12, 1979, from Pomona, Calif. He was a security guard for Burns Security at Peterson Farms.
He served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 11150 of Gentry.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Ervina Means; a son, William Earl Means of San Diego; a daughter, Philine Victoria Davies of Gentry; and a granddaughter, Amanda Davies.
Arrangements are by Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory.
Memorials may be made to VFW Post 11150 of Gentry.
Charles D. Runcie Sr.
Charles D. Runcie Sr., 91, of Bella Vista, died Friday, Dec. 28, 2001, at Concordia Care Center in Bella Vista. He was born July 13, 1910, in Newark, N.J., to William T. and Cecile D. Runcie.
After retiring 29 years ago, he moved to Bella Vista from Minneapolis. He was a member of St. Theodore's Episcopal Church of Bella Vista.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Runcie; a brother, Erskine Runcie; and two sisters, Harriet Hartz and Peggy Peyton.
Survivors include a son, Charles D. Runcie Jr. of West Des Moines, Iowa; two daughters, Kathryn R. Woods of Dallas, Texas, and Lynne R. Dock of Naples, Fla.; a sister, Eleanor Haltom of Corpus Christi, Texas; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at St. Theodore's Episcopal Church of Bella Vista.

Riley M. Rush
Riley M. Rush, 96, of Rogers, died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2002, at Heritage Park Nursing Center in Rogers. He was born in Lockesburg to John T. and Margaret Kennedy Rush.
He married Pearl Moore, who preceded him in death in 1974. He then married Tommie Jackson, who preceded him in death in 1982.
He was also preceded in death by two sons, Wayne Rush, in 1994; and Delbert Rush, in 1996; and several brothers and sisters.
He moved to the area in 1951 from Smyer, Texas. He farmed in Texas and Arkansas.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law; Riley L. and Pat Rush of Poteau, Okla., Donald Gene and Margaret Rush of Denison, Texas, and Weldon and Nancy Rush of Bella Vista; a daughter and son-in-law, Juanell "Nell" and Thomas Murphy of Bentonville; 13 grandchildren, six step-grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Visitation was from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 6, at Lakeview Baptist Church in Cave Springs. Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 7, at Lakeview Baptist Church with the Rev. Pat Robinson officiating.
Arrangements are by Callison-Lough Funeral Home of Bentonville.
Eugene Sollenbarger
Eugene Sollenbarger, 89, of Des Moines, Iowa, and formerly of Bella Vista, died Thursday, Dec. 27, 2001, at Iowa Lutheran Hospital. He was born April 6, 1912, in Corydon, Iowa, to Dr. George and Blanch Teegarden Hartley.
He lived in Ft. Dodge, Iowa, and Bella Vista before moving to Des Moines. He was a retired pharmaceutical salesman.
Survivors include his wife, Floris Sollenbarger; two sons, David T. Sollenbarger of Des Moines and Michael Eugene Sollenbarger of Tucson, Ariz.; and four grandchildren.
No funeral services are planned.
Arrangements are by the Neptune Society of Iowa.
Ruth Evelyn Struthers
Ruth Evelyn Struthers, 99, of Bella Vista, and formerly of DeKalb, Ill., died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2001, at Bentonville Manor in Bentonville. She was born Aug. 28, 1902, in Sioux City, Iowa, to Forrest and Flora B. Hayes Phelps.
She worked as an operator for DeKalb-Ogle Telephone Co. for 15 years. She then worked for Del-Monte for a short time.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of DeKalb and church circles, and was a past president of the Women's Relief Corps, the Woman's Society and the Senior Golden Age Group. She did extensive volunteer work and enjoyed crossword puzzles.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lotan Struthers, in 1967; two sons, Donald Struthers and Forrest Struthers; an infant daughter, Mae Struthers; a grandson, David; a brother, Harold; an infant granddaughter, Lori; and a step-grandson, Michael.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Burton and Joan Struthers, and Delos Struthers and Corinne Struthers; 12 grandchildren, a step-grandchild; 22 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, at Ronan-Moore-Finch Funeral Home of DeKalb with the Rev. Kitty Ganzel officiating. Burial was at Mound Rest Cemetery in Cortland, Ill.
