FAYETTEVILLE -- Robert H. Morgan, 85, of Fayetteville died July 6, 2003, at Fayetteville City Hospital. He was born Oct. 11, 1917, in Potts Camp, Miss., the son of Jessie G. and Lena Potts Morgan. He was a carpenter and a longtime deacon of Calvary Baptist Church in Fayetteville.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Doyle and Mary Lynne of Fayetteville; one daughter, Joan Porter of Fayetteville; one granddaughter, Melanie Cox of Washington, Ark.; one grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Chip and Julie Porter of Russellville; granddaughter, Tiffany Johnson of Hot Springs; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Monica Morgan and Jim Frisby of Fayetteville; grandson and granddaughter-in-law, David and Tracy Morgan of Fayetteville; seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2003, at Calvary Baptist Church in Fayetteville with Dr. Gene Fulcher and Chaplain Phil Misenheimer officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Memorial Garden. Pallbearers will be Chip Porter, Jim Frisby, David Morgan, Joe Black, Les Childress and David Hartman. Honorary pallbearers will be Calvary Baptist Church deacons.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
Arrangements are by Nelson-Berna Funeral Home and Crematory of Fayetteville.

May L. Patrick
CLAYTON, Okla. - May L. Patrick, 86, of Clayton died July 8, 2003, at Clayton. She was born Jan. 1, 1917, in Delaney to Emory and Josie Tuck Napier. She was a former seamstress for Levi Strauss Co. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gasthen "Red" Patrick, one grandson, Jerry Nobles, and daughter, Phyllis Hankins. She was a former resident of Elkins, where she was a member of Harris Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Murl Patrick and wife Betty of Combs and G.C. Patrick of Godly, Texas; three daughters, LaVerne Van Baaler and husband Mike of Grovetown, Ga., and Jo Belle Hollingsworth and husband Pete of Elkins and Janice Bell and husband Sidney of Clayton, Okla.; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Crosses with the Rev. Lynville Eaton and the Rev. Doyle Baker officiating.
Arrangements are by Clayton Funeral Home.
Casper Conklin
SPRINGDALE - Casper Conklin, 63, of Springdale died July 8, 2003, at Springdale. He was born Dec. 31, 1939, in Ava, Mo., to Epruim and Mabel Holman Conklin. He retired from Steele Canning Co. after 25 years of employment. He had been on dialysis for 18 years and was the longest living dialysis patient in Northwest Arkansas.
Survivors include two sons, Rick Conklin of Siloam Springs and Mike Conklin of Fayetteville; three daughters, Mary Coleman and Phyllis Coffron, both of Siloam Springs, and Michelle Ardary of Springdale; one brother, Vernon Conklin of Springdale; two sisters, Kathy Donahew of Gentry and Virginia Oats of San Juan, Texas; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Springdale with Roy Haffelder officiating. Burial will be in Thornsberry Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mary W. Reese
ROGERS - Mary Webster Reese, 96, of Rogers died July 6, 2003, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rogers. She was born Oct. 17, 1906, in Miami, Mo., to Guy and Ida Hisle Webster. She was a secondary teacher and was a member of the Christian Church and the Contract Bridge Club in Bella Vista. She moved to Rogers 33 years ago from Elmhurst, Ill. Her husband, Hank Reese, preceded her in death.
There are no survivors.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Miami (Mo.) Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Callison-Lough Funeral Service, Rogers.
Jim Sadler
James J. Sadler, 82, of Fayetteville died Monday, July 7, 2003, at Washington Regional Medical Center.
He was born Feb. 21, 1921, in Albert City, Iowa, the son of James Blaine and Lona Kelso Sadler.
He was a retired office-machine repairman and was a member of Sequoyah United Methodist Church. He had a lifelong dedication to the Boy Scouts. He was preceded in death by a brother, Dale Sadler.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Sadler, to whom he was married 60 years; two sons, Charles Sadler and his wife Eve of Seminole, Fla., and James Edwin Sadler and his wife Cheral of Elkhorn, Wis.; a daughter, Phyllis Algrim and her husband Ronald of Elburn, Ill; two brothers, Donald Sadler of Omaha, Neb., and Robert Sadler of Independence, Mo.; five grandchildren, Charles Allen Sadler, Adam Sadler, Greg Algrim, Catherine Berndt and Kristen Malone; four great-grandchildren, Allison Sadler, Parker James Malone, Paige Malone and Devon Malone.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at Sequoyah United Methodist Church.

Helen Gray
SEARCY - Helen Glenn Gray, 91, of Searcy died July 8, 2003, at White County Medical Center. She was born June 30, 1912, in the Providence community to Robert Cantrel and Eva Lee Latham Glenn. She was a homemaker and a member of the Kensett First Baptist Church where she taught the junior girls Sunday school class for many years. She was preceded in death by a grandchild.
Survivors include her husband of 70 years, C.A. Gray; two sons, Don Gray of Branson, Mo., and Gary Gray of Fayetteville; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Kensett First Baptist Church. Burial will be in Providence Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at McEuen Funeral Home in Searcy.
Paul Akers Jr.
ROGERS - Paul Mosby Akers Jr., 62, of Rogers died July 4, 2003. He was born Aug. 30, 1940, in Detroit, Mich., to Paul Mosby Akers Sr. and Mary A. Akers. He moved to the area in 1994 from San Diego, Calif. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Akers, in February 2000.
Survivors include three sons, Randy Hanson of Rogers, Jonathon Gerald Akers and Paul Mosby Akers III, both of California; three daughters, Susan Ann Villela, Ana Patricia Garcia and Maribel Costellanos, all of California; 25 grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers. Cremation will follow.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
