Charles E. Humphrys
BENTONVILLE -- Charles E. Humphrys, 60, of Bentonville died July 5, 2003, at his home. He was born Nov. 10, 1942, in Polk County, Tenn., to Charles S. and Lillian Fetzer Humphrys. He moved to Benton County eight years ago from Cleveland, Tenn., and was a retired purchasing manager for Cooper Electric. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Bentonville, and he enjoyed genealogy and collecting Confederate memorabilia. He was an Army veteran and a member of the American Legion, Disabled American Veterans and Sons of the Confederacy.
Survivors include his wife, Ann Nix Humphrys of the home, whom he married July 27, 1985; three sons, Christopher Humphrys and Douglas Humphrys, both of Bentonville, and Charles S. Humphrys of Pennsylvania; one brother, Bill Humphrys; one sister, Gussie Ridgeway of Cleveland; one grandson; one granddaughter.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Callison-Lough Funeral Service in Bentonville, with Dennis Spence officiating. Burial with military honors will be at National Cemetery in Fayetteville. Memorials may be made to the Disabled American Veterans.

Madison India Simmons
JACKSON, Miss. -- Madison India Simmons of Jackson died Aug. 8, 2003, in Jackson. She was born June 16, 2003, to Michael and Patricia Simmons of Vicksburg, Miss.
Survivors include her parents; one brother, Dillon Simmons of Vicksburg; grandparents, the Rev. Dr. C. Douglas and Nina Simmons of Fayetteville and Margie Lewis of Conway.
A memorial service is to be Monday at All Saints' Episcopal School in Vicksburg with the Rev. William V. Martin and the Rev. Chan Osborn de Anaya officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Holly Cemetery in El Dorado.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Ronald McDonald House Charities, 2524 N. State Street, Jackson, MS 39216.

Al Browning
BENTONVILLE -- Al Browning, 69, of Bentonville died Aug. 7, 2003, at his home. He was born Feb. 9, 1934, in Columbus, Ohio, to Delmore and Gwendolyn Stout Browning. He was a Wal-Mart supercenter associate for the past nine years. He enjoyed raising cattle and had lived in Northwest Arkansas since 1992, moving from Cypress, Calif.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy Browning of the home; one son, Randy Wood of Bentonville; one daughter, Chris Harris of La Porte, Texas.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. today at Stockdale Funeral Services in Rogers.
Memorials may be made in his honor to the Bella Vista Animal Shelter, 32 Bella Vista Way, Bella Vista, 72714.

Becky Jo Maniord
SILOAM SPRINGS -- Becky Jo Maniord, 26, of Siloam Springs died Aug. 7, 2003, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. She was born Oct. 26, 1976, in Brainerd, Minn., to Charlie and Denise LaRose Disterhaupt.
Survivors include her husband, Mike Maniord of the home; one son, Alexander Maniord of the home; her father and stepmother, Charlie and Anna Disterhaupt of Lincoln; two sisters, Kari Prichard and Marie Disterhaupt, both of Lincoln; two stepbrothers, Joe Chapman and Adam DeLeon, both of Lincoln; one stepsister, Jessica Chapman of Prairie Grove; maternal grandmother, Beatrice LaRose of St. Paul, Minn.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Luginbuel Funeral Home in Prairie Grove with Cecil Sugg officiating.
Burial will be in Prairie Grove Cemetery.

Kenneth Paul Harp
BENTONVILLE -- Kenneth Paul Harp, 77, of Bentonville died Aug. 8, 2003, at Bentonville. Arrangements are to be announced by Callison-Lough Funeral Service in Bentonville.

Jerald Holland
DECATUR -- Jerald "Jerry" Holland, 68, of Decatur died Aug. 7, 2003, at his home. He was born Aug. 7, 1935, in Washington County to Hugh and Ora Knight Holland. He was a Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War. He was retired from Peterson Farms, where he worked as a maintenance worker for more than 20 years. He was affiliated with the Assembly of God. He married Anna Marie Fagala on Sept. 3, 1974.
Survivors include his wife, Anna of the home; four sons, Martin Holland of Sacramento, Calif., Wesley Holland and wife Sandra of Centerton, Dennis Carter and wife Judy of Taylor, Texas, and Danny Carter and wife Connie of Gentry; two sisters, Josielee Smith of Farmington and Deon Purser of Fayetteville; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at National Cemetery in Fayetteville with Arthur Schmidt officiating.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs.

O.C. Mowery Jr.
SPRING VALLEY -- O.C. Mowery Jr., 77, of Spring Valley died Aug. 7, 2003, at his home. He was born Dec. 3, 1925, in Chico, Texas, to Orvid Charles Mowery Sr. and Bernice Stockton Mowery. He was a longtime resident of the area and was a rancher, a carpenter and retired from Kawneer after 10 years of employment. He enjoyed watching rodeos and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was preceded in death by one son, Gary Mowery in 1995, and two grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Mowery of the home, to whom he was married Nov. 3, 1991; one daughter, Linda Watts of War Eagle; four stepdaughters, Theresa Drake and husband William of Prairie Grove, Linda Jewett of Fayetteville, Sharon Bolten of Little Rock, Jackie Sager of Fayetteville; two stepsons, Scott Sager of Farmington and John Sager of Fayetteville; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; 10 step-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the House of Worship with the Rev. Bill Williams officiating. Burial will be in Burkshed Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Sisco Chapel in Springdale. The family will be present from 3 to 5 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Ho Blakley, Lester Joyner, Ervin Phillips, Dennis Roles, Scott Sager and Billy Sharp.
Honorary pallbearers will be Hubert Siler and Joe Boyt.

Ronnie Lee Lawson
Ronnie Lee Lawson, 45, of Springdale died Thursday, Aug. 7, 2003, at his parent's home. He was born Oct. 21, 1957, in Rogers to Willard Garland and Janet Rae Roney Lawson. He graduated from Springdale High School. He was an employee of Wal-Mart supercenter in Springdale for seven years. He previously worked in construction, having helped build the new addition to Springdale Memorial Hospital. His hobbies were playing guitar, singing and writing songs. He was a Christian, having been baptized May 9, 2003, by hospice Chaplain Brother J.W. Walker.
Survivors include his parents, Willard and Janet Lawson of Springdale; one son, Jeremy Glen Price of Bentonville; one brother, Ricky Garland Lawson of Springdale; his paternal grandmother, Stella Lawson Summers of Springdale; aunts, uncles, cousins and nephews that were very special to him.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Springdale with the Rev. J.W. Walker officiating. Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Danny Robinson, Jason McGintly, Floyd Lawson, Gary Laswell, Steve Laswell and Jerry Lawson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Shelby Roney, Roger Holcomb and Reggy Jessee.
Visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
