HOUSTON, Texas -- L. Evelyn Cox, 80, of Houston died Aug. 8, 2003, in Houston. Arrangements are pending at Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville.
Elvira Ceola
TONTITOWN -- Elvira Agatha Ceola, 88, of Tontitown died Aug. 7, 2003, at her home. She was born April 13, 1915, in Tontitown to Antonio and Caroline Tessaro Fiori. She was a homemaker and had worked at the Venesian Inn for 26 years. She enjoyed yard work and gardening. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Her husband, Renaldo Ceola, died in 1973.
Survivors include three sons, Dick Ceola and wife Louise, Mike Ceola, Leonard Ceola and wife Vicki, all of Tontitown; one daughter, Diana Stutts of Las Vegas, Nev.; one sister, Genie Buras of New Orleans, La.; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
A rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Sunday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church with the Rev. James E. Mancini officiating.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Michael Ceola, Rob Ceola, Thomas Ceola, Virgil Pianalto, Norbert Ranalli and Roy Stutts.
Edith M. McKenzie
PEA RIDGE -- Edith M. McKenzie, 89, of Pea Ridge died Aug. 8, 2003, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rogers. She was born Nov. 19, 1913, in Sequoyah County, Okla., to Lewis and Donna Scott Weaver. She was a homemaker and a member of the Westside Baptist Church in Pea Ridge. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cliff McKenzie, and one son, Clint McKenzie.
Survivors include three sons, Clyde McKenzie of Avoca, Neb., Clarence McKenzie of Gateway and Guy McKenzie of Pea Ridge; one daughter, Barbara Ash of Pea Ridge; 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Benton County Funeral Home in Rogers with the Rev. George Wisely officiating.
Burial will be in the Pea Ridge Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Chris McKenzie, Justin Wiltse, Alan Ash, William Ash, Lonnie McKenzie, Bobbie McKenzie, Dave McKenzie and Adam McKenzie.
Line Amanda Bowlin
SPRINGDALE -- Line Amanda Bowlin, 50, of Springdale died Aug. 2, 2003, at Northwest Medical Center. She was born July 25, 1953, in Sisco Island, Quebec, Canada, to Claude and Marielle Mercier Parisien. She moved to Northwest Arkansas 25 years ago and was employed by J.B. Hunt Transport in Lowell. She was a Catholic.
Survivors include her husband, Clyde Bowlin of Springdale, whom she married Aug. 7, 1971; her son, Dustin Bowlin and wife Tracey of Fort Myers, Fla.; her mother of Sullivan, Quebec; one sister, Nathalie Budnick of Valdor, Quebec; two brothers, Gille Parisien and Mario Parisien, both of Valdor.
The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale, with the Rev. Bill Williams and Cecil Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Burkshed Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Joey Hale, Ronnie Treat, Mike Price , Cary Stokes, Greely Phillips and Jerrod Ashmore. Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Roberts, Cecil Phillips, Robbie Phillips, Dana Sera and Jeff Egberts.
Visitation begins at 1 p.m. today at the funeral home, with the family present from 6 to 7 p.m.
Billy Ellison
PINEVILLE, Mo. -- Billy Ellison, 41, of Pineville died Aug. 2, 2003, at his home. He was born March 3, 1962, in Bentonville to William Edward and Geraldine Hudson Ellison. He was employed by Master Electric in Bella Vista. He attended Whittenburg Full Gospel Church, and he enjoyed team roping, camping, fishing and hunting. He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Melissa Dianne Ellison, in 1986.
Survivors include his wife, Dianne Jordan Ellison of Pineville, whom he married April 17, 1982; one son, Clint Ellison of Pineville; his mother, Geraldine Adams of Pineville; three sisters, Tammy Test and husband Mike, Lisa Crawford and husband Kevin and Ronda Young and husband Murray, all of Pineville.
The funeral is at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Pea Ridge Church of Christ, with Jamey Cope and Jackie Chestnutt officiating. Burial will be in Pea Ridge Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.
Jack J. Morris
FAYETTEVILLE -- The Rev. Jack J. Morris, 70, of Fayetteville died Aug. 3, 2003, at his home. He was born Aug. 9, 1932, in Whitener (Madison County) to Henry A. and Zella Jones Morris. He retired from the University of Arkansas Physical Plant and was ordained a Freewill Baptist minister in 1966. He has been the pastor at churches in Washington and Madison counties. He was a member of Land of Goshen Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Lois Sharp Morris; three daughters, Diann Bowerman of Fayetteville, Deloris McCoy of Fayetteville and Darlene Winn of Green land; one brother, the Rev. Earl Dean Morris of Hindsville; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Land of Goshen Freewill Baptist Church, with the Rev. Alvin Reynolds and the Rev. Eldon Bagwell officiating. Burial will be in Goshen Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. today at Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville, with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m.
Joseph Peter Martinaitis
ROGERS -- Joseph Peter Martinaitis, 85, of Rogers died July 31, 2003, at his home. He was born Jan. 4, 1918, in Chicago, Ill., to Joseph Sr. and Petronela Martinaitis. He was a retired service-station owner who had lived in Benton County since 1980, after moving from Illinois. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors and the International Stein Collectors. He enjoyed collecting antiques. His wife, Margaret Agnes Kelly Martinaitis, died Nov. 26, 1998.
Survivors include one son, James Martinaitis of North Riverside, Ill.; one sister, Victoria Koff of Lisle, Ill.; two grandchildren; one great-grandson.
Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Callison-Lough Funeral Service in Rogers, with Father Mike Sinkler officiating.
